Yes, great to see. Ladies, do realize chop saws come in smaller sizes. You may not need one with this large of a blade. Especially if you're near a store or lumberyard that will cut boards to size. A large saw is both heavy and bulky, not easy if you have to negotiate stairs. I wish I bought one smaller than my 12 inch one.
Wow... in a weekend. Now I feel shamed into no longer putting off the remodel that I've started. The biggest thing that I've been worrying about is how to deal with MY honey oak cabinets and you've just given me all the confidence that I need to go ahead and paint them.
I thought if you use cabinet paint, which is specially formulated, you don't need to prime - or sand. Love what you did with the update/refresh. That space by the blank wall was crying out for a table with banquet or bench and chairs. So happy you showed the homeowners that yes, a table and chairs can fit quite comfortably. The countertop on the island is to die for! And there is nothing sexier than using black in more than accent pieces in a room.

I love the wood slats you added and green paint for a backdrop for the dinning table Easy upgrade on the cabinets made a huge impact. Adding floating shelves in place of that big cabinet visually connecting the rooms and created style. The island is awesome and the new top is beautiful. A fabulous new kitchen with no demo perfect!

Wow I was a little hesitant about the upper cabinets and whether or not it was going to flow like you were talking about but they’re beautiful. The rest of it yeah……… makes sense and I guess I can’t understand where they thought adding a dining room table would make that space smaller but the major change was the island and giving them space! Looks awesome!!
How do you apply to be on this show? I know the homeowners likely have to pay for everything but I'm totally down and have a decent budget. We have a fixer upper and I'm totally lost on how to transform it into our dream home. I've been watching this show for years and find myself rewatching old episodes too❤

I love the kitchen - especially how the cabinets turned out. I want to paint out my kitchen cabinets, and would love to fill in the gap between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling. This is the perfect renovation to inspire!

Great job. Only thing I would change is to add a light over the dining table. The wall treatment much more affordable than shiplap and more unique and won't be so dated 10 years from now. TFS

I think they sanded and primed the cabinets because they had a gloss finish
