Why buy a $300 HDMI pass through box when you can get synchronized RGB using SignalRGB??? :D Also we have a huge library of supported games, way more than 4....

Hi, i see we are using the same monitor. Do you get all monitor capabilities with the workaround with the cables? 175hz hdr 3440x1440 g sync?
Is the AI sync box limited to a max number of 5 other lights connected (not including the USB C)? I have 10 other Govee lights. Currently Govee Dreamview only allows control of 5 other lights. Ran into same limit with hue sync box. Right now using a combination of PC Software, Razer Synapse, Govee Dreamview, and a Hue Sync box. To control all the lights throughout room. Understand it wouldn't control Hue Lights. But will it control more than 5 other Govee lights?
This is a hard pass for me. Without HDMI 2.1 or display port, I don't get VRR. It might have been fine fine for TV if we are talking last gen but with both ps5 and xbox series supporting VRR this just is a pass.
There's a pretty nice bypass actually. You just need two ports from your PC or Xbox(can't do this on playstations cause they only have 1 port).
One goes to the syncbox and the other goes directly to the screen you're using. This bypasses the syncboxes limitations to framerate at higher resolutions,
lack of VRR, or anything else cause the input to the screen isnt coming from the box. It's coming directly from your device. The output to the syncbox
doesn't actually need to be connected to your screen to function. It only needs to be connected to the light bars and the lightstrip.
This doesn't change the fact that it's expensive. It would just fix most of the issues you would have with it regarding support.
I mean Govee is doing an amazing job but at the cost... I'll pass. For now..... 😈

doesnt Razer Synapse already do the AI thing if you have razer connect with Govee? 300 $ for what exactly - I am getting most of the things through synapse anyways atleast for apex - I mean when other games support does come out it might be worth - Thanks for the review! Cheers mate
in General people tha are going to drop $300 on rgb light are likely not going to be running slow or low rez monitors. needed to be 1440p at 250hz and 144hz at 4k to sell to its intended market.
Hello, I have a problem with the package and hope you can help me. I set everything up as shown, the lighting stays white. Even if I turn on the aimode, the lighting doesn't adapt to the game like lol. Does the bix have to be connected to the WiFi for this to work or what am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance for the help.
Ideally if these use computer vision / audio recognition ("ai", aka some kind of glorified pattern recognition software), you *should* be able to train the algo to do whatever you want (ui change, jingle play etc) to launch some kind of colour pattern.
No idea how tweakable that thing is though, or of the memory available to store other models, so for $300 it might be a bit steep for now.
I love Govee and i Have loads of their strips from 15 pound sets to M1 and Neon Rope but im not sure the colors look accurate enough just Yet it seems to be adding light that isn't displayed and also i think they need more Games especially campaign solo games People will want the emersion in Game not competitive in my opinion its a distraction while competing I will have to get my hands on one to test it out fully but It seems from what iv seen so far that it needs a couple of small updates hopefuly that can be just updated like the strips can but i like it in overall

Honestly pretty annoyed that the site doesn't specify that the AI Gaming Sync kit doesn't have the 2nd USB-C for the light bars, should you, like me, think you were going to buy the lightbars later on. If you think the box is the same, it's not; you also can't use it for large TV's either because it won't support the additional LED's, even though that seems like nothing more than a firmware tweak.

Biggest thing I don’t care for Govee dreamlight is on black scene it turns blue and Philips just turns it off. No light is the perfect black

So can anybody help me please? My friend purchased this for me as they new I was building a desk set up for work / streaming / gaming. I have a 4k monitor and use if for digital art connected to my macbook. I sometimes stream PS5 and Nintendo switch and i'm wondering if this is any good for my setup as it says it only runs at 60hz for 4k... Does that mean the lights are dimmer or something I'm confused!

I am using Display Port to connect my PC with my Monitor.......can I use this Connection further on and use the HDMI seperate to the Box or do I need to sleeve the Signal through the Box? I really like the Effects, but I dont wanna change my Display Port Connection to HDMI

Not sure if this is the question your asking... but I tested it with using displayport straight to my monitor, then using the HDMI port on my GPU to go to the box, then select "duplicate" on the windows display settings - basically lets you run the HDMI box as a slave connection and still get the RGB effects

@@TechTesseract I see so your saying use the settings of the second or third HDMI slot from the GPU as a slave to the AI GOVEE BOX. duplicate the signal out from the GPU. So, all the lighting effects come through. never thought about it that way.

The no 4k 120hz is a miss for me.
Agree I wanted that too, a workaround though is if you have a graphics card that has multiple outputs, you can mirror the screens and then send 1 hdmi signal to your monitor and a separate to the sync box.
Hopefully they'll make the TV version 2.1

Hey, can you help me please? I cant activate Hdr on my alienware 3423dw when this Thing is plugged in. And it only work when i duplicate the monitor output. When its not duplicated in windows settings. The rgb is Staying one colour or complete off

The AI mode sucks... The screen is all red and there is a crazy blue flashing all around it... If it is based on game actions, then probably better to go with Logitech or Razer (e.g. police lights when you are wanted in GTA, or red pulsing when you are dying in Battlefield) ...
I think if I wanted anything like this, I would go with a camera based solution. There is enough trouble to make your PS5->Amplifier->TV ... PC-amplifier->TV issues to get the desired refresh rate and resolution ... throwing an extra box into the equation is just a pain in the butt ... not mentioning DisplayPort :O
I guess the good part is that you can change the lighting effect per in game action to whatever you want, and yeah camera system definitely has it's benefits too!
