holy shit... i'm at work listening to this and trying not to laugh uncontrollably at the "I want everything you can GIVE me" part... tears are coming out of my eyes.
Dana Carvey is great. His impressions are more characteristic stereotypical versions of those actors rather than accurate imitations like the kind Bill Hader does. Bill does an impression of Alan Alda that is amazing. He's the only person I've ever seen do that impression. th-cam.com/video/4iaHrXHPraI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S8minEFRNnpu4k6t
Norm MacDonald got fired from SNL because he went for the funny and said to hell with the network and the broadcast standards council. Now of course you can say and do more risky material on streaming services, podcasts etc. but there is always a group that will crucify you if you hit one of their sacred cows. Now I don't actually think Dana Carvey is homophonic, racist or sexist. I think he goes for the funny. Funny often means things that are incongruent. Comedians find a way to build it into a bit. The rest of us are aware that something seems off, but we aren't trained or are missing some gene that allows us to hit the mark. I'm not at all advocating for hateful or mean spirited stuff. Carvey often really likes and respects the targets of his comedy.
The Lancaster is very good, the sound and the words. The Douglas is weird. I get what he's going for but I wouldn't get who it was supposed to be right away
Would it still have been funny as hell if it was either of them with Katherine Hepburn? The answer is yes, So, it's fine to do with Douglas and Lancaster. Whether or not they're gay is unnecessary to the jokes humor.
Very funny. Dana Carvey impressions are more realistic when you don't see his face. From what I read about Kirk and Burt maybe the sex should have been the other way.
Man, I've got to give to Dana for being able to remain absolutely motionless for a full 4 minutes AND talk without moving his lips. Truly amazing.
ventriloquism
I doff my hat to your sir
This comment is hilarious and makes me laugh every time I read this 😂😂
Incredible talent.
Oh I just thought he was disabled
Came here after Conan’s podcast with Bill Hader returning. Goddamn this is funny.
Me too!
same queen
It's almost even better WITHOUT the video! 😅🤣😂
same!
There was talk of gerbils...
I still sing "Choppin Brocolli" around the house sometimes. Dana Carvey, truly one of the greatest of the greats.
His performance of this on the Dennis Miller podcast is SO good. I wish I could find it!
After Conan and Bill Hader talking about this bit, I had to hear the original
"I've only got so much play..." Perfect. So simple yet so brilliant.
holy shit... i'm at work listening to this and trying not to laugh uncontrollably at the "I want everything you can GIVE me" part... tears are coming out of my eyes.
goddamn. now i just made it to the "I want some lemonADE" part. Crying again.
Love and best wishes to Dana and family ❤
Brilliance. May be the funniest man ever-up with Norm & Phil.
Love love love Dana Carvey, one of the funniest guys ever!!!!!
Saw him perform at the Cape Cod Melody Tent when I was 15 and a young David Spade opened for him and they were both gold
Dana Carvey: "It was a different time"
Gilbert Gottfried: "So this family walks into a talent agent's office..."
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
This Burt is the Best Burt ever done.
I love every single one of his impressions!!! Too dang funny 😂🤣🤣🤣
frank gorshin did perfect kirk and burt impressions right down to the facial expressions
Yes he did. Dana is funny but Frank's impressions of Kirk and Burt were spot on.
"Everything's fine, just fine." I can hear him now.
Such a great bit.
Thank you for posting this I was searching for it for days so I could share 🤣
Tough Guys was a good movie.
This just slays!
Absolutely hilarious
Dana's "Burt" sounds a lot like Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood.

WHY do I keep thinking of Bernie Sanderssss!!!??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
From Conan
so funny.
His Burt lines kill me lol. I heard him do it on bill maher's podcast but this is funnier bc it's explicit
That doesn't "dance around" crude, Dana. It IS crude.
hilarious

Holy s**†
Hilarious

Howard managed to make it gayer
@@1godonlyone119 Kirk and Burt I mean not Dana and Stern...Dana is straighter than Howard while dressed as the Church Lady
@@Nunya_Bidness_53 It doesn't mean they're gay, just two men having fun.
He probably got it mixed up with a porno he saw.
How about a better screen shot? Dana looks bored to tears
First!
Dana Carvey shares a voice with Adam Carolla.
Would it still have been funny as hell if it was either of them with Katherine Hepburn?
The answer is yes,

His Kirk Douglas is not good. Most of his others are excellent.
