I got an average of 22.5 right now with largely city driving. Last road trip driving conservatively I averaged 28. This is with 93, getting it tuned for the first time for 91 due to an upcoming move. Going conservative, looking at 330-350 whp, 350 torque, not sure how this'll affect mileage.
I had a 2015 WRX Premium 6-speed. It was such a fun car! I kept it about 70k miles. The best tank I ever squeezed out of it was 29 mpg in combined city/highway driving. I really squeezed every last drop of fuel out of it, though, basically keeping the revs as low as possible, driving 55 maximum on the highway, and accelerating very gradually. Driving normally I would still average about 26 mpg and lots more smiles. The price of the car was $26,500. Oof!
I have a 22 wrx. Ive never gotten better than 25mpg buuuutttt..........I also don't drive regular I like to have fun. With that being said the worst I ever seen is around 23ish mpg that's kinda good for driving like that in my opinion. People hate this car for the looks and yes everyone is definitely entitled to thier own opinion I 100%agree. I was too kind at first they grew on me a little and im still not super pumped on the crosstrek face and the mock civic rearend but after owing the car for a year I will say its super fun to drive it can handle snow no problem, you can fit four grown adults along with crazy trunk space, and its honestly pretty reliable. so all in all not that bad of a little car at all. I feel like Subaru did do us a bit of an injustice with the whole look of the car but everything else is kinda really great. Great video man! Im going to shoot to get some killer mpg's!
It is definitely a fun car. I only have them for a week, but i did do some spirited driving. When it comes to the test, I drive it as a person that likes to accelerate, but then relax and cruise...
Premium isn’t worth it when it’s $2 a litre here in Nova Scotia. It was higher in Ontario last year when I lived there. $2.30 a litre. If I had to go with a sedan it would be the Legacy base model.
So when you put that 87 crap in any car and it runs like a bag of crap; that's satisfying to you? Man if you got to base your vehicle purchase on the type of fuel you use; you may have bigger problems. Maybe public Transit in Scotia would help LOL!!!
@ when I lived in Ontario I worked with a guy who had a G37. He was driving from Cambridge to Brampton everyday. Over 200 kms a day. He was putting 87 in the tank since he was going through a tank every three days. It saved him major money. I can’t justify $2 a litre for gas when the gas mileage for this car is horrible. A V6 on cruise gets mid 30s and a 4 banger gets nearly 50. I’m happy with the high 30s in my SUV on 87 gas. And I would never take public buses again. Did that in college, no thanks. It would take over an hour to get to work instead of the ten minute drive.
0-60 in 5.3 second, but realistically it's more like 5.8-6.0. To get the 5.3 sec, you have to do a 6k rpm clutch dump, which could cause damage, lol Here is the full review - th-cam.com/video/GqmdJpr9Auo/w-d-xo.html
Don’t know much about hi performance cars, but I test drive the 2024 WRX premium manual. I loved it so much that I almost bought it! The deal breaker for me was the MPG and my insurance would have gone 700dll a year. I’m 52 years of age with perfect driving record and the insurance premium went up by a lot. Subaru was aggressive in the insensitives , gave me 2.9 APR and was willing take my 23 hybrid XL Maverick for 24k. I paid less than that! But couldn’t do it! The Maverick is a no brainer.
Wow, that much increase for the insurance? That's crazy. The Maverick is a great little truck. Here's my review of the Maverick if your interested, there is also an MPG test. th-cam.com/video/GekovUis2X8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jwE2QuGJ580PrIYw
This WRX is what we'd consider a sporty economy car. It's not quite hi performance as is stock. WRXs have a bad reputation as the cars that young men buy and do dumb things with. They're basically rally cars for the street and have the perfect formula for doing dumb things. Turbo, AWD, manual, no heavy, it's the perfect hoon mobile lol
When I did my first long drive in my '24 WRX I averaged about the same. Think i hit 30. In order to do this shift early, be super light on throttle, & no cruise control. Im new to the WRX & subaru. Im a toyota guy. 1st AWD. Hope its as reliable as my IS F but i doubt that 😅
Honda has been very conservative when giving me cars. I have only recieved an Accord, last year, and will get a Prologue in the spring. But I will try to get one!

Wow, that's quite the increase! I wouldn't expect to lose more that a couple mpgs
I have a 23 Limited 6MT and over 3500 miles, I've averaged 27.0. i think that's pretty reasonable for a 271 HP/AWD car.
2023 Premium here. Custom pro tuned. I average 27 in mixed driving but get about 32 on pure hwy at 70 mph avg
Awesome, thanks for sharing!

It is a fun car! The new one is a big jump in price.
My. 24 gets 10.4 liter per 100 km mix city & Hwy combined. Also, insurance rate cheaper that our ford escape. Cannot complain for a sport sedan 😂

@@offtheshelfrides Oh for sure!
That's really good MPG!!
I thought it was pretty good too!
Would you take this or Elantra N for your daily?
I would probably go with a white Elantra N....

Awesome! I do use cruise on my tests, though. I know a lot of people that once they bought a Subaru, they won't but anything else.
Damn your 91 is expensive! In northern Colorado our 91 is usually only 60 cents more than 85. Paid $3.15 for 91 at Costco last night
Yea, Illinois has 1 of the highest gas taxes in the Nation
Wow, almost $2/gal more for premium? Is that normal? Usually about $.70/gal more here in TX.
Yep, they gouge us here, plus we have 1 of the highest gas tax in the nation.
Do a Civic Si!
