- Hihi! This is my experience of the day of my top surgery! I had keyhole surgery at Aviva Helse in Oslo, done by Dr. Halfdan Simensen the 11th of August 2020. I am now two days post-op, and decided to go on here and talk about how it went. I was really worried about the anaesthesia, but thankfully it went super well and the actual procedure wasn’t one bit scary at all!
I’ll keep you updated, next video will be about my drain! (Which I made an effort to hide in this video).

Hi Kovu, it seems so strange to be so proud of someone I’ve never met but I can genuinely say I’m proud of you. I’ve been watching you since 2015 or so and I’ve seen you change as a person so much, I’ve seen you get happier, and transition. We actually have a lot in common and it’s rly nice to see your videos and see you grow up from a kid to a young man, we both have had similar timelines, I was just Learning and coming to terms with my identity just when you were, I came out around the time you did etc. (I’ve haven’t been able to medically transition yet tho) and just watching you grow has just filled me with a sense of pride and hope. You are such a unique person, very introspective and insightful. You are an old soul who holds so much uncovered wisdom and I can’t wait to see you grow more!
It didn’t even occur to me that people could and would get top surgery during COVID but damn am I happy for you.

ik they are still doing surgeries my grandad is having and operations and he had to have a covid test a week before then strictly self isolate

Not to scare you off, but...when the drain gets removed, it does not really hurt, it just feels really disgusting.
I had drains in my legs 20 years ago, so I know that feeling.
That yellow/orange liquid is iodine. It is disinfectant. surgery patients get that all the time^^
Maybe you shouldn't say that as he's still recovering, just so he doesn't get scared and nervous and so things go as smoothly as possible, but also I'm sure you meant it in a really nice way! :))

Yep. I had surgery a few years ago. Two years ago? First time I had to have drains. What a mess!

yeah i think its great to try not to label yourself, just do the things that make you comfortable you know?
@@lg5872 I agree, for me trying to find a label to fit myself before knowing exactly what I was comfortable with just felt super constricting. Try first just experimenting with different pronouns and/or names and see what you like and then go from there :)
You don’t need to figure it out now you will know in time
I’m still figuring it out aswell but a way to figure it out faster is to pretend like people from your school are talking about you in your head and try different names/prounouns

The nausea is partially because of the lack of water in your system. I’ve had to do a couple blood tests that take 3 hours without being able to drink anything until it was done, and I always go out of there really nauseous
I'm really happy for you! The day you had your surgery I heard I couldn't get mine earlier.. because the age in Belgium is 17 and I turn 17 in the end of march ( wich really sucks) Glad to see you happy dude! Can't wait to get mine someday!

I've seen a whole change in your demeanor, Kovu. You're no longer that sad little boy from your older vids (i hope). You seem so much more happy, and that makes me happy. Super proud of you! I know that's coming from someone that you don't even know, but i am really proud.
Also, you talking about your top surgery experience really helps me because I am really scared of hospitals and needles. You helped ease my mind so that when I have top surgery maybe in the future, I wont be so nervous. Thanks and stay well!
My mum had a dental surgery and her anaesthetic didn't work. She was paralysed, but awake and could feel everything. They drilled in to her jaw and slit her gums open and she felt it all.
I'm glad your anaesthetic worked, the doctors didn't calculate the dose right and didn't give her enough as they were afraid to give her too much because she is pregnant.
I have very little faith in the dental profession. :(

My experience with anesthesia when I got my wisdom teeth out was not like yours at all lol. It got sent into my blood, i got EXTREMELY itchy, and then I was out. I don’t remember the entire day, I vaguely recall wanting to watch Lilo and Stitch, and apparently I kept asking where my teeth were. But the entire experience is not in my memory.
