It’s cool that a mostly-official BBC production is using the talents of these wonderful impressionists who have been doing these voices and producing content for so long :)
VulcanMushroom Out of all of the impressionists in the video, only Jacob Dudman and Jon Culshaw are used by Big Finish, and they use Culshaw’s Nicholas Courtney voice, not for any of the Doctors. (David Bradley has done BFs too but I wouldn’t call him an impressionist lol)
I got so bummed out that the Sixth Doctor was seemingly left out of this whole thing --- just for him to come back and save the day at the end, and having been saving it the whole story, having me excited again. Honestly, even as someone who knows the best side of him from expanded media and hates to see him get crap for how he was on the show, I will admit that, no matter what his personality in any medium, it is so him to just ignore everybody so he can focus on doing his own thing, but allowing them to unknowingly assist by distracting the thing their fighting. Loved that.
@@ffionvernon I can remember being in the audience of a comedy show when Culshaw did his Tom Baker voice as a warm-up (a loooong time ago) - it sort of stopped the room, it was so uncanny...

@@danjohnsonDW Yeah, but still. People who can imitate voices are pretty cool. I guess you just have to pay a lot of attention to how others talk. The specifics.
1- I can't believe you actually got David Bradley. He's wonderful as the first. 2- Very spot on 3- Scary good 4- Sounds more like Tom than Tom does. It's eerie. 5- Super accurate 6- Pretty similar 7- Very good 8- I went to the description to check if you actually got Paul. 9- Fantastic! 10- Spot on! 11- Again, that one is super scary. 12- Eh. Not really. I know what my favorite Doctor sounds like. 13- Unfortunately, no War- Great!
Agreed, Chis Thompson does a great 12, he voices second but wonder why they didn’t ask him to do 12. Grace ward albeit not very well known, her 13 is great, look her up
Personally, I was surprised they used Debra Stephanson for 13. I would've picked Wendy Abrahams who is lately appearing on more and more fan projects as an official impersonator for Jodie and she sounds great. And I would've used Wink Taylor for 5, as I feel that now, you hear too much of Jon Culshaw when he speaks.
I've always wanted a young War Doctor Series, in which he actually commits all the atrocities that he regrets in his later life. The War Doctor Box Sets we already have had the War Doctor being already sick of it
Gonna be honest 12 and 13 impersonators didn’t really sound like them but everyone else was pretty spot on. I mean they weren’t too bad but it was noticeably off.
I thought 8 was terrible, 12 grew on me, 13 started off sounding like a granny but got better, everyone else was pretty good. The surprise package was the War Doctor.
Which is INCREDIBLY in-character for her, lol. And I love her for it. Her use of "fam" in canon is terribly endearing to me, like, epitome of Adorkable. :D
It’s a joke considering the ACTUAL Baby boomer generation was between 1946-1964...and the franchise began in the year JUST before it ended. Just reminding us all this Series is REALLY old O_O;
I love that the 6th Doctor saved the day with cat pictures! That was genius. And, of course, the War Doctor would be the only one to slow down and notice. 😆 That totally tracks. Love it!
Pretty much everybody is spot-on in character in this, even when the voices aren't as good a match you can definitely imagine them saying those things, least I can
I still remember finishing up at a convention, being told that next year they were apparently going to get Elisabeth Sladen....then within the next week finding out she had died. :(
"Great all 12 of them!" "No Sir! All...wait, how many are we again? Thirteen? "Fourteen if you include me, and no reason to not, just because I'm a woman. And fifteen if you include that one from season 7B, and oh say about a dozen more who predate us calling ourselves the Doctor..." "I give up. Extermination by Daleks is better that this." :)
I was laughing the whole time, this is so good. The fact that they all assembled because one of them got stuck in the TARDIS, the sighing at “another end of the world”, everyone just memeing the whole time. The editing was really good, perfect comedic timing. I could not stop giggling when the 3rd came onto screen. That close up expression is too good. And the 1st barely in frame like an old man who can’t use technology. It look me a minute to notice John Hurt on a background of “no more toilet paper”. The kazoo absolutely sent me 😂
Angie Beaumont I’m so used to hearing McGann that it definitely sounded slightly off, but I thought it worked very well. I think 6 benefited from not being in the whole thing, or else it would have been noticeably more off, but I thought he did a fine job! Loved this through and through.
A lot of unnecessarily critical replies among the nice ones so just want to say thank you to all the voice actors for their time and effort making this. It was fantastic :).

This is so sweet- I love that even in lockdown we are being so spoiled for content- this community really is like no other and I’m so proud to be part of it 💕💕💕
"this community 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕" can you give it a rest please? If ever there was a time to pretend that a few comments on the internet or some Facebook group automatically turns all doctor who fans into some community, now isn't it. The show has been destroyed and even if you're the kind of person who is able to still enjoy it - it's more divisive than could ever have been imagined a few short years ago. Even this video includes the hateful 13 and yet another swipe at fans at 7:00 (which wasn't even true of course, people from all walks of life speak out against Chibbaker), as do most of these DW Lockdown videos, hardly spoiling fans like me, who are probably in the majority considering the collossal loss of viewers and the overwhelming popularity of channels like critical drinker, nerdrotic and flower productions Vs the ever divisive and less and less popular official Doctor who TH-cam channel (and its presence on any social media). The "doctor who community 💕" is certainly not in good health right now, not even "editorially". All I'm saying is spare a thought for all the fans left behind by the team making the show now, we're still here! These lockdown videos would do way better than a meagre few thousand views if it weren't for including 13 in all the content. (Critical Drinker's latest video on doctor who - on The Timeless Children got nearly half a million/over 400,000 views so far, for comparison).
@@them1ghtyalex dude just take a look at your own wall of text. You have to understand this mindset is part of the problem. A single line "if I wanted to hear a bunch of guys yelling at each other I'd go on the internet," managed to ruin a 15 minute video for you? It wasn't a malicious line, and was aimed at the audience of people *on* the internet, they're poking fun at *us,* and you're supposed to be in on the joke. If Tennant's or Ecclestone's Doctors had made the joke, you probably wouldn't have batted an eye. The writing on the television program has negatively colored the way you're viewing unrelated content made by professional fans.
Alex Saunders Hey man, wasn’t trying to cause any drama- there’s been plenty of stuff released during lockdown without her if you aren’t a fan. I do still believe there’s a community here, and I’m sorry if you disagreed with my emoji use but I don’t think that discredits me somehow. I love this show, but that doesn’t mean that I love every aspect of it, and I (or you) shouldn’t have to. Doctor who fans have always been critical and should be allowed to be, discussion and disagreement (in a civil way) is a vital part of any community! But even the current era means a lot to a lot of people and I personally don’t really think we should be too upset at all the free content being released for everyone at the moment. Totally wish you well but I don’t think Doctor Who has ever tried to leave behind fans- there’s so much new content being produced with older doctors if that’s more up your street, and maybe a future era will appeal more.
@@8LiterallyJustTheNumber8 3 brief paragraphs constitute a wall of text ok learn something new. Involving 13 in Doctor Who content is enough to ruin it for me. "In on the joke"?... I know you don't believe that that's apologist bs, just a coincidence it was said by 13 was it? Give me a break. "Wouldn't have batted an eye"? Of course I would have because it would clearly have had the same intention said by anyone in any content featuring the 13th doctor; if it was uttered by another doctor (or just anyone else in non DW content) in content that didn't involve 13 then I would still "bat an eyelid" because it's a terrible joke (if you could even call it a joke), it only belittles anyone (male) who ever happened felt the need to voice their opinion online and it spoils the punchline by lying in the set up of the joke ("men shouting" instead of people or idiots or angry people etc) - clearly indicating the point was not to make a funny joke, but just that aforementioned belittling and to take a targeted swipe at males (in this case trying to suggest only male fans have a problem with her); no humour there. Go to any comment section anywhere, people of all sexes and colours and inclinations "shout on the internet" and you know that full well.
@@selectra8408 except that Chibnall's work on the show has not simply been a dip in quality, a poor series or two like we've had before at several points in dw's history - JNT era series like s18, the TV movie, series 7, Clara. Those are fine they don't go and ruin the show (Clara tried to, to be fair) they're just a bit less good than the better series and stories of Who. No, with Chibnall the entire show has been fundamentally corrupted and "appropriated" (if you will) by a particular political class and they've stamped their ideologically polarizing vision for the show across its history and its future (using the Timeless Children to make sure you don't forget what they've done no matter what era you're trying to enjoy). And Whittaker is so fundamentally incapable of portraying the Doctor and has made it clear so many times that her political ideology (and probably the money) was the only reason she ever took the role. Don't pretend what happened here is just like any other dip in the show's history and that it'll just bounce back and start being for everyone again later down the line. However much it does or doesn't improve after Chibnall and Whittaker get lost the show is never going to be the same again, especially for all the fans deliberately left behind during this era - but it won't be the same for anyone else more casual or still watching either; it's always going to be a source of argument, toxicity and division now rather than something wholesome to bring people together and have "water-cooler moments" about (as some people say) for example. It's such a f*****g shame, and a disgrace.
I love that on their own the doctors are brilliant individually, but the second you get them in a room with each other. They get so distracted by one another they don’t get anything done. In fact, they end up distracting everyone else around them, causing more distraction. It’s so funny.
I still can't believe the voice of Sixth and Eighth Doctor is the same person. Bleeping heck. Also, that War Doctor made me believe time travelling is real..
I love the interaction between 2, 3 and 4, third is like annoyed older brother... :D And the thirteen in the closet, someone clearly had fun making the profile pictures, if only people watching this in future will get the context "or as I like to call it hiding from an army of sontarans" Feel guilty for picking only those two things but it would be too long if I would write everything that deserves highlighting, cause it's all great!
City of Death--4 talks about his relationship with Leonardo. The plot involves the Mona Lisa. Remember in "The Impossible Astronaut" when 11 was in that Laurel and Hardy movie? That's why that picture
The fourth Doctor encountered seven identical Mona Lisa paintings, all by Leonardo da Vinci, whilst on holiday with Romana in Paris in the spring of 1979 or eight, i forget....
I loved this so much. And when 12 said "see you tomorrow", the first thought that came to my mind was that it was time for him to plan to join the other previous 11 doctors to save/freeze Gallifrey in his timeline. This was incredible... I almost had a tear in my eye. It was beautifully done. Great story :')
Well also in the comics there was like three crossovers between the doctors with 12 leading his run so But I totally buy this is before Day of the Doctor
Until I read the description I was wondering how you got all the living actors to work together. Especially after how Chris Eccleston left the series. Amazing impressions.
That was a heck of a lot of fun. The impressions were amazing, and it was nice seeing all the Doctors come together. I love that the most underappreciated Doctors (Colin Baker and John Hurt) were the ones to do most of the problem solving. I thought that was really nice.
This is SO MUCH FUN :D sixie and war saving the day and the time honored tradition of two and three bickering to no end. I love it!!!! I love everyone here!

I had no idea what to expect from this (came here from a random youtube recommendation)...and it was so good. It just show cases how they cannot help arguing with each other over outfits, console room themes, musicality or lack thereof....and then there is the first one, who cannot figure out where all the voices are coming from! (as a non techy, I would absolutely relate). Glad that 6 was smart enough to not engage and just do the work, cat pictures and all (all the groans that came when those popped up were perfect).
I know! This was amazing!! I saw that 11 was Jacob Dudman, so I was already expecting it to be perfect (and it was!!) but I was SO taken by surprise at how perfect Nine’s impression was. Just... wow. And the Tom Baker impression was really good too! Ten wasn’t quite right in a couple of places, but all in all it was great. 13 could’ve been better, though. I wish I was more familiar with the other voices because I can’t really remember what the actual actors sound like!
"Why have you crossed the void beyond the mind?" - oh, I can't believe they put that there xD The references are strong with this one for sure. All of them. And I LOVE IT!
it's crazy how majority of the video is filmed on TARDIS screens of interiors by a creator that isn't credited, nor is the program used to get these. For those unaware, these TARDISes are mods/addons created for a game called Garry's mod, and i can only assume the footage was either taken there or in SFM, a program able to use the same 3D models. I mean the least you can do is at least mention that this was the case..

As I was reading the comment that part came on
The Doctor telling her past self to go fuck himself.
It’s cool that a mostly-official BBC production is using the talents of these wonderful impressionists who have been doing these voices and producing content for so long :)
Don't impressionists do Big Finish audio dramas pretty regularly?
wouldn't say the 13 impressionist is anywhere near good.
@@LordMooshroom Chris-Walker Thomson has worked for Big Finish, but not as the Second Doctor despite numerous calls from fans for him to do so.
Loved that.
Is nobody going to point out that they actually got David Bradley back for this!? :D
He's not the real First Doctor dumbass!
Michael McGrath Ah but he was for Twice Upon a Time and he played William Hartnell in An Adventure in Space and Time
Michael McGrath well he’s the only one of the impressionists here to have portrayed a Doctor in the official series
Think the credits pointed it out adequately
@@MichaelM28 oh is he not? Great excuse for you to be a twat then, eh? :)
Jon Culshaw portrays Tom Baker with amazing similarity.
True. I had to look at the list to find out it wasn't Tom Baker but Jon Culshaw. It's amazing.
Wait that wasn’t Tom baker?
@@matthewduncan8523 It wasn't any of the original actors lol
@@ffionvernon I can remember being in the audience of a comedy show when Culshaw did his Tom Baker voice as a warm-up (a loooong time ago) - it sort of stopped the room, it was so uncanny...
It was the real David Bradley I believe.

"My dear fellow may I remind you that you are wearing salad?"
I love this too much. I've watched it more than I should have
dandiest dandelion, so you realize.
13 essentially calling 2 and 3 an old married couple got me more than it should have
let's face it, those two can barely get along together even in the most serious situations
She KNEW it'd rile three, and I love that that's exactly why she said it lmao
She said himself to marry himself. Doctor Who everybody
Gotta say when 13 said fam I cringed hard but when 6 just screamed "FAMMMMMM??!!" I giggled hard
My favorite part, so in character for six
It was so glorious to hear him get so angry at that LOL
Jon Culshaw even got the unique breathing of Tom Baker correct. In fact spot on.
I mean HOW though

@@danjohnsonDW Yeah, but still. People who can imitate voices are pretty cool. I guess you just have to pay a lot of attention to how others talk. The specifics.
The doctors screaming to himselves as he sees younger versions of himself which look older
The best thing is, they didn't stay mature when older
It just mix of childish and mature with each faces 😂😂
*themselves 😘
??? But she's there, voiced by another actor than Jodie.
1- I can't believe you actually got David Bradley. He's wonderful as the first.
2- Very spot on
3- Scary good
4- Sounds more like Tom than Tom does. It's eerie.
5- Super accurate
6- Pretty similar
7- Very good
8- I went to the description to check if you actually got Paul.
9- Fantastic!
10- Spot on!
11- Again, that one is super scary.
12- Eh. Not really. I know what my favorite Doctor sounds like.
13- Unfortunately, no
War- Great!
@@ScoobyandShaggy5554 just looked her up! She's great!
Jeffrey Pemberton she sure is
‘8 - I went to description to check if you actually got Paul’ sounds more like a generic dozy scouser to me & 11 was terrible too.
The John Hurt impression was spot on! Big Finish should hire them!
I know. Jonathon Carley can do many voices but his John Hurt is by far the best.
I've always wanted a young War Doctor Series, in which he actually commits all the atrocities that he regrets in his later life. The War Doctor Box Sets we already have had the War Doctor being already sick of it
It was amazing.
Yes. It was excellent. Nearly, nearly as good as Culshaws Baker
His Capaldi is fuckin terrible though!
Gonna be honest 12 and 13 impersonators didn’t really sound like them but everyone else was pretty spot on. I mean they weren’t too bad but it was noticeably off.
i agree, 12's was extremely off though
Still the best 12 impression I’ve seen. It’s the same guy who voiced him in Exhausted Parts.
For me 12 was fine. The only ones that lacked for me were 1 and 13.
I thought 8 was terrible, 12 grew on me, 13 started off sounding like a granny but got better, everyone else was pretty good. The surprise package was the War Doctor.
Yeah, 13 sounded the most off.
Did they... did they just save the world with cat pictures?
Yes, yes I believe they did :)
This is the most doctor who thing I have ever heard.
And they didn’t need to Use a single sonic screwdriver...A NEW RECORD
Welcome to Doctor Who, everybody.
Yes, but you make it sound like cat pictures did not inherently do that already.
The 13th Doctor is that Aunt who tries to fit in by quoting the youth.
Which is INCREDIBLY in-character for her, lol.
And I love her for it. Her use of "fam" in canon is terribly endearing to me, like, epitome of Adorkable. :D

That comic is utterly incredible.
"new doctor, new phone, who dis?"

someone keep 13 away from ryan omg ahaha
I was thinking the same thing lmao!!
@Ewan Croft i mean boomer is a lot about being from the past and from a previous generation.... -and that's precisely what her past selves are
It’s a joke considering the ACTUAL Baby boomer generation was between 1946-1964...and the franchise began in the year JUST before it ended.
Just reminding us all this Series is REALLY old O_O;
There are so many layers to that "ok Boomer" joke, I love it XD
Ellie Bryson the Jodie bits make me suicidal no joke
I love that the 6th Doctor saved the day with cat pictures! That was genius. And, of course, the War Doctor would be the only one to slow down and notice. 😆 That totally tracks. Love it!
Pretty much everybody is spot-on in character in this, even when the voices aren't as good a match you can definitely imagine them saying those things, least I can
8/5: That was a bit of an anti-climax...
12: You'll get used to it with age.
whoooooooooa
The 6th Doctor ignoring everything then turning up, sorting everything without breaking a sweat and insulting his otherselves is very in character.
6 absolutely losing his shit because 13 called them all fam is SENDING me. brilliant job with 9!! it's always good to hear from my doctor
That Sarah Jane reference literal goosebumps
I still remember finishing up at a convention, being told that next year they were apparently going to get Elisabeth Sladen....then within the next week finding out she had died. :(
the doctor calling the doctor....
oh no not again
OH YES
"Great all 12 of them!"
"No Sir! All...wait, how many are we again? Thirteen?
"Fourteen if you include me, and no reason to not, just because I'm a woman. And fifteen if you include that one from season 7B, and oh say about a dozen more who predate us calling ourselves the Doctor..."
"I give up. Extermination by Daleks is better that this."

jcharpak Good! Gallifrey is rubbish anyways!
Obi Wan’s gonna kill me
I was laughing the whole time, this is so good.
The kazoo absolutely sent me 😂
Twelfth and Thirteenth were a little off, but other than that every voice was pretty fantastic. Loved this.
I thought 12 was good. 6, 8 and 13 were terrible
Angie Beaumont I’m so used to hearing McGann that it definitely sounded slightly off, but I thought it worked very well. I think 6 benefited from not being in the whole thing, or else it would have been noticeably more off, but I thought he did a fine job! Loved this through and through.
Angie Beaumont 6? He sounded just like him

13 wasnt great. Way too high pitched. 9,10,11 were great!

Hi 👋 Congratulations on this to you. Brilliant, brilliant work. You’ve made a lot of Whovians very happy 😁
Wonderful impression!
I love how 1 was absolutely clueless throughout the entire thing
This is basically just an average Discord call and I love it.
