David Tennant says "hello" and we cry. He says he's on a final journey and we cry. He sits with Novice Hame and tells stories and we cry. Because everything ends and that's sad, but everything begins again too and that's always happy.
Wait... Did the Tenth Doctor go and visit her just before he went and regenerated? Like all the other people he went and said goodbye to? That's so amazing.
I think, this is exactly that. I wonder, if eleven or twelve or thirteen comes back to new earth, and finds out about the long trap, too. I wonder, if the tie in with the song of Akathen is a hint on some connection and the Doctor will spring or defuse the trap. Maybe, new earth is old earth transported there by some mysterious cosmic entity just before the sun of our original solar system explodes.
I forgot how beautifully RT Davies can write. It has so much heart and there’s so much texture to every spoken word. Also the voice acting was all amazing

But in my living memory their memories live and still keep my wonderings company. No...she went into the depths of New Earth and found a sonic screwdriver left behind and realized that The Doctor created New Earth to save humanity from extinction...she really just wanted to thank him for the renewed hope that this world gave but passed before she could get it all out...
Their voices brings back waves of emotional nostalgia for me, especially David’s smart sassy tones. Ten was my childhood, that whole era, that...vibe, of his tenure was something truly special that I’ll happily carry for the rest of my life. Now, I’m off to find the tissues...Allons-y :,)

This beautiful video is another reminder that Russell T Davies brought heart to this series. No attempts to be cleverer than thou. No efforts made to be extra funny. Nothing politically correct for the sake of it. Just a man with a pen, who closed his eyes and expanded a universe he grew up loving, so all of us could experience that joy with him. What a wonderful way to start a new week and a new month. ♥
I sometimes forget the absolute poetry and heart that Russell put into Doctor Who. And I sometimes wish he would write again for Doctor Who, because the stories he told were beautiful and the connections we felt to them are real

Sigh...my feels are hit in the feels. This is the power of great storytelling. At its best, Doctor Who truly is about time travel, but not just for him. It's about us, and the magic that RTD somehow tapped into during his tenure. I wish that the current Doctor had a writer and show runner that just "felt" what this show is really about. The new show is so mired in trying to tell us why the new doctor is better than everyone that has come before that it forgets what the Doctor truly is about - its about HOPE, and hope appeals to all of us, no matter our race, gender, sexual orientation, political ideology. Hope is the one thing that ties us all together as humanity, and it is the exact thing that is missing from the new show. Thank you for this, all of you involved, for the tears and the smiles and the wistfulness of it. It's been a long time coming.
Chibnall wanted to kind of return back, to the Classic Who without drama, it was a very action-oriented show, without much reflection, but with a lot of mysteries. Maybe it didn't work out.
Also as short as ten's life was, it seems he spent a large portion of it infected with radiation visiting everyone he ever met. I bet he was about 950 by the time he saw them all

This is magical, I adore Hame and the music and and visuals are so moving. I'm also happy that David had voiced 10, Hame is such an amazing character she is worth every second of this story.

I really enjoyed this. Anna also plays a recurring character/friend of the Doctor (but also not a companion) in the Sixth Doctor audios called Patricia Menzies, and I love how she's got two such characters that she plays.
I just lost and buried our beloved 16-17 year old family cat Roxy yesterday, so a dear friend of mine and fellow Whovian shared this with me to help comfort me. I was very moved by it and it brought me to tears and made me think of Roxy, and I hope that she too has moved on to the Great Cat Kingdom.
This is simply amazing. Absolutely wonderful and so beautiful it hurts. It summons tears of sadness, tears of hope, and tears of timeless happiness. So many emotions in a short 11 minutes, 17 seconds that it boggles the mind, twists the heart, and elevates the soul. Thank you. RTD was a gift, i miss his world in dr who world its a shame chibs didn't care about the world anywhere near RTD. Eventually the children who grew up with RTDs run of the show will become writers and treat it with the same care he did

Nothing politically correct for the sake of it. Just a man with a pen, who closed his eyes and expanded a universe he grew up loving, so all of us could experience that joy with him. What a wonderful way to start a new week and a new month. ♥

I sometimes forget the absolute poetry and heart that Russell put into Doctor Who. And I sometimes wish he would write again for Doctor Who, because the stories he told were beautiful and the connections we felt to them are real

I always wished Novice Hame had been able to travel with 10 in some capacity. The two characters just play off each other so wonderfully

Sigh...my feels are hit in the feels. This is the power of great storytelling. At its best, Doctor Who truly is about time travel, but not just for him. It's about us, and the magic that RTD somehow tapped into during his tenure. I wish that the current Doctor had a writer and show runner that just "felt" what this show is really about. The new show is so mired in trying to tell us why the new doctor is better than everyone that has come before that it forgets what the Doctor truly is about - its about HOPE, and hope appeals to all of us, no matter our race, gender, sexual orientation, political ideology. Hope is the one thing that ties us all together as humanity, and it is the exact thing that is missing from the new show. Thank you for this, all of you involved, for the tears and the smiles and the wistfulness of it. It's been a long time coming.
Chibnall wanted to kind of return back, to the Classic Who without drama, it was a very action-oriented show, without much reflection, but with a lot of mysteries. Maybe it didn't work out.
And Murray is now back with his musical tenuous, pure Gold!!
Also as short as ten's life was, it seems he spent a large portion of it infected with radiation visiting everyone he ever met.

If you ignore that 11 said he was 907 near the start of his run. I'd say 10 spent around 2 weeks visiting everyone.

Think he clearly made 10 state his age in Day of the Doctor, which was meant to be his last, off camera adventure before "The End of Time" so yeah, poor 10 was only around for 5 mins

@@Thekellin1 one fan theory is that 9 spent a lot of time in between leaving rose and popping back (to her) a couple seconds later and telling her the tardis is also a time machine. This is even used in a short story written for the 50th.
This is magical, I adore Hame and the music and and visuals are so moving. I'm also happy that David had voiced 10, Hame is such an amazing character she is worth every second of this story.

I really enjoyed this. Anna also plays a recurring character/friend of the Doctor (but also not a companion) in the Sixth Doctor audios called Patricia Menzies, and I love how she's got two such characters that she plays.
I just lost and buried our beloved 16-17 year old family cat Roxy yesterday, so a dear friend of mine and fellow Whovian shared this with me to help comfort me.
I was very moved by it and it brought me to tears and made me think of Roxy, and I hope that she too has moved on to the Great Cat Kingdom.
This is simply amazing. Absolutely wonderful and so beautiful it hurts. It summons tears of sadness, tears of hope, and tears of timeless happiness. So many emotions in a short 11 minutes, 17 seconds that it boggles the mind, twists the heart, and elevates the soul. Thank you. Thank you for this stunningly gorgeous reminder that death is not the end, it is just the next chapter in each of our stories. 💜
RTD was a gift, i miss his world in dr who world its a shame chibs didn't care about the world anywhere near RTD.
Eventually the children who grew up with RTDs run of the show will become writers and treat it with the same care he did
