2:05 âHey Gordan hamreyâ
Hey Gordon Hamarinoarya
Hey Hammy
At least she didn't mention the lost lamb sauce
i think she says "hey gordon i'm amrey"
I wouldn't complain about that portion, but I understand where Gordon is coming from, the place has to make money and they're not serving college kids so moderate portions would work better for their target audience and business wise.
I don't get the college kids reference.
@@nathanpetrovski7525 I just used college kids as an example since college kids wouldn't complain about a huge portion, to them it would be more for less, win win, that's how I would have seen it when I was college aged.
@@Hume871i mean i always have that mindset because i dont eat a lot ð but i get what you mean
Large portions really are only viable if you have large turnover. A place of that size should have multiple courses and small portions to maximize profits .
I like how the server comes to defence of the chef, high might not be fantastic but if you're restricted in what you can cook with you can't work miracles.
not Gordon flirting with the bald waiter.. ahahah
That's an insult to flipflops!
Leave the Ethiopian kids out of this. ð
No i think we should help the ethiopian kids.
â@@fakename6658the ethiopian kids would rather eat an actual flipflop with mayonnaise than eat that crap
Calamari is from Meditteranean region, it's not specifically Italian.
It is also not often battered in Italy (it can be, but is usually not the preferred way for us to eat squid) - that's more of a Spanish thing.
T rex haha
T-rex footððĪĢððĪĢ
beautifully said
Great name Seth has. Beautiful Dutch name
Even i wouldn't eat that food. And i eat a lot of trash
Iâm sitting here unemployed havenât eaten in two days and watching him bash food that Iâd kill for. Prat
Probably best to use the time finding a job than watching TH-cam ngl
They always blame it on the management but they still could make it look better than that. Buy hey the us has got better food than us from the UK ððð
I get the joke, but the older I get, the less I feel this is the case. We may have more variety, but so much of it is Sysco prison-tier food or premade chemical hodgepodges that are slowly (and not so slowly) poisoning us all. I'd wager that, on a case by case basis, something from a British grocer is probably higher quality than something from an American one.
Besides, didn't you guys invent sandwiches? The most iconic American food is the hamburger, which is a slightly fatter sandwich. We all stand on the shoulders of giants, you know.
@@DaRkLoRdZoRc So much additives that are legal on the US aren't allowed here in Europe. So yeah safe to say there is a good reason for that since big food companies spend a fortune every year lobbying against those food laws
Gordon you're absolutely on the money.
Flip flops are served in your restaurant.
Pot calling the kettle black.
He should check in on his own restaurants and film that
The reviews I've seen don't make me want to waste a cent eating there.
America is diverse, so food sampling from around the world makes perfect sense for an American bistro.
delusional
TBH whatever Gordon gets he takes one or two bites of and then throws it away. He should only receive sample sizes when he goes to restaurants. Their good may not be good but people are eating it in the restaurant so it can't be that bad.
It's dramatized for TV but also the problem often is the price for the quality. People eat it because not everyone can have a chefs level taste palette. But you would definitely be pissed to find out your food is barely any better than what you can buy in the supermarket and you're paying an absurd amount for it.
I think it is mostly the point of people go out to their restaurant and spend money on crap that they can make at home fresh
Complains about it being an American Bistro that has a diverse menu. Then complains about the large portions. Sounds completely American to me.
Usually when a restaurant calls themselves an âAmerican bistroâ they have classic, typical US dishes just âzhuzhedâ up a little; burgers, chicken sandwiches, soups, etc. no sane person would go to an American bistro and expect Thai, Italian, French, and Mexican cuisine all on one menu
