If only we had them in the states. They would sell like crazy. Jeeps are not comfortable or luxurious inside and I wouldn’t expect them to be. If you want the feeling of a car, get a fake SUV crossover. These cars are extremely reliable as well as being good off road.
I own the 5 door Jimny Jungle Green, as we live in country NSW where the pothole roads will destroy most everyday cars. I average 7L/100km so surprised your mileage was so high and the manual version. We have a nine year daughter so it is just more practical to go five door over the 3. Actually I find the information system to be quite good and up to date, does everything you need and compare to some new cars today where everything is driven via a touch screen the Jimny still has dials for air conditioning. It can be a little slow as a tiny 1.5 engine and in wind on the highway a little unsettling at first but I found I never got pushed into another lane. Once I relaxed it was fine and actually easier to drive than other cars with more refined steering. I rarely have to make tiny corrections. For me it is my everyday drive on our gravel, dirt and pothole country roads. Occasionally I drive up to Sydney. The seats are comfortable on long drives and it is ok noise wise compared to other cars I own. Actually when you turn it on you sometimes think it isn’t on the engine is so quiet. It is noisy at 110km/h but not horribly loud in the cabin. We plan to go camping with it. Nice review. It actually a good little car practical.
This is a very good vehicle. I have one in India. But we dont get this colour, sadly. It is a very well designed little vehicle and great fun as a runabout.
Good review. You mention the freeway fuel economy as 13L per 100kms which really is quite bad for that vehicle but the dash shows 13km per litre which is much better and equates to 7.7L per 100kms, still not great.
Thanks Troy for pointing that out. I've just released that. I will put down a pinned comment. 7.7L is still what i would've expected. I think the shape and height have a lot to do with that, like all 4WDs.

The 5 door would be my choice.

I think for going off-road, they're fantastic!
Nice review. More off road test would have been appreciated

It's a great vehicle but it's not doing well in India. It does not have road presence of an off roader. Looks puny.
India has different market conditions compared to other countries in Latin America or Australia for example
