I already have the two-tone Regard and love it. Saw the gold and looked for reviews on the finish. You sold me, i just went back and bought it! I think it will go nicely with my silver Taurus 92 as well. I may have a problem...

I have this same gun only in bronze. Just hit 5,500 rounds through it. I have 3 real berretas and in my opinion the girsan regard is built better. The locking block is thicker than a real berreta. Mine is Langdon tactical and wilson combat built. Didn't have to modify anything. 3lb trigger and runs like a Rolex.

I'm not really into "gold" guns, but I have to say, the finish on that thing looks excellent.
I have an FDE Regard MC and the only things I'll mention as cons were:
1)The factory slide stop won't work well with Beretta 17-rounders (won't lock open, AND sometimes will get the mag stuck in the gun when you try to remove it) and *some* Beretta 15-rounders (though most are fine). All Mec-Gar 18 rounders obviously are no problem with the gun. A Beretta slide stop is a cheap drop in fit for those who want to reliably use any Beretta 92 mag.
    2) A few light strikes here and there with NATO spec 9mm, and IMI 115 grain JHP with harder primers *if* a lighter hammer spring is used. This *might* have something to do with the Girsan hammer, which looks similar to the current Taurus PT-92 hammer. It's not skeletonized like the Beretta Elite II hammer, but it has some relief cuts in it that *might* possibly be behind some of the light strikes. I might throw in a normal Beretta hammer to see if those go away 100%.
I honestly like the sights on the Girsan better--they are slightly more narrow for the rear sight vs the Beretta one. The left side safety/decocker lever is also easier to reach on the Girsan than the Beretta.
So far these seem to be pretty good reliable guns for a reasonable price. I hope they stick around for the forseeable future.

That’s a lot of good information! So far, I’m really impressed with the Regard. The gold finish is way more durable than I thought it would be. Much easier to clean. Not one I would carry due it being so flashy. But would definitely use it if I had to. Has been very reliable with all types of ammo. Thank you for watching!!

You probably won’t be disappointed with the Girsan. I’m pretty impressed. I had the Canik TP9 SFX when it first came out. Had a ton of extraction issues. They sent me a new recoil assembly and that seemed to fix the issue. But I was already burned by the time they finally sent me a new spring and rod

I think is because though I really like the way it looks, I just know it's not my style and it would never get any use. Just too flashy.
