Girsan MC is a certified iso 90001 NATO spec pistol. That’s what it feels so good in hand the slide is smooth like butter, no tooling marks, the finish is equal or superior to Barretta. The pistol was designed to shoot 124 grain ammo, your groups will tighten up nicely. Overall I really like the quality of the gun and will be buying another one soon. Thanks again for the excellent review!
Turkey makes absolutely beautiful firearms 100% dependable. I own a big variety from different manufacturers and have never had a problem with any of them and some of them are so beautiful I don't even want to take them to the range.
Put a Wilson Combat #16 hammer spring, along with their trigger and recoil spring in my Regard Gen 4. Feels great now. Also I got 2 extra Met-gar M9 18 round mags, and 2 extra 30 round m9 mags which both work great.
Did you do anything about the alleged super heavy trigger? Is it really That bad? I believe the trigger movement is great, but the pull is like 11lbs on DA and 7lbs on SA
I have the 1st version, Regard Six. Couple k rounds later, still a winner. Price was exactly half of a 92fs, at the time. Cut a loop or two from hammer spring, and it loosens right up.
You can also through beretta springs in it. I had a regard my with a beretta d spring. I now have a Regard Gen 4 with the Wilson combat #16 hammer spring, their recoil spring, and trigger spring. Trigger pull feels great and had been 100% reliable.
Great review! I had seen this pistol before but didn't know much about the brand. May give them a shot. I have the Beretta 92X and it's basically the only cool gun I have haha.
I have one just like it in white. One thing you didn't notice is when you reinstall the slide, slide pin locks back on automatically unlike Beretta 92fs where you pull all way back then manually lock slide pin
I have a tisas 1911 9mm us army. I believe they are made by the same company. Mine has been very good for a budget 1911. I am thinking about trying to get the model in this video. They seem good for the money.
The most accurate pistol I've ever shot in my life with a Beretta. Just went to shoot with a friend of mine that had one, the design is remarkable and clearly made for accuracy. The clone is the same as well. 25 yards off a rest of course, I managed five groups of five shots at 25 yards all measuring 1 inch. That's almost unheard of in a pistol. I do a lot of pistol feuding and hand loadIng, but with factory loads right out of the box, I was purely amazed the pistol fits extremely well in the hand so natural to hold and yes I'll be saving up for one, most possibly the one made in Turkey.
got news there is another clone out there the RIA mk9 it looks like a too tone black and silver msrp 699 have seen dealers selling it a lot cheaper I hope in the future you will as always give your honest review PS considering all the you tubers out there I think your the paul harrel for pistols enjoy
Now i personally like the double action first shot on hammer fire pistols. Could be a bias because i learned and trained on the m9 platform but imo it's a perfect first time owners gun. The safty decocker plus the heavy trigger on the first shot it's like they will only go off when you want it too.
I have a tisas 1911 9mm us army model and it's quite good for the money I paid. I wish it had a beavertail and better sights but I could have paid more for a new upgraded model rather than the used one I bought. Perhaps I'll try to put a beavertail on it and make a tool for the staked on front sight to be replaced.
The Regard is more of a clone of the Beretta M9A3 with a curved backstrap instead of a straight one. Many Beretta 92 components are compatible with the Regard, but the Regard slide won't work on a Beretta frame.
@@thetexasgunvault Fair enough. No problem with that. But I’ve seen people say, “but it’s not a beretta”, all the while having no problem with their clone 1911. A good firearm is a good firearm, and the additional options are great for everyone.
I believe beretta built the factory in turkey girsan changed how the lug works and the finger grooves want to make kick butt down load a langdon kit and you will save around 800 dollars over a langdon beretta mine is a awesome shooter and it is my carry gun
So you were able to install Langdon’s trigger kit in the Girsan? I was thinking about doing this but since I don’t own a Beretta I might save up and shell out the extra money for a mid-optioned Elite LTT.
@@Sinsofcarolina I haven't tried the Trigger Job in a Bag kit in my Girsan Regard, but the Langdon Tactical Optimized Trigger Bar will work with the factory Girsan hammer just fine in my gun. Your mileage may vary, but most of the trigger bars from Langdon will probably be drop in fit for the Regards, and they give you a pretty excellent DA pull and very short SA reset.
@thetexasgunvault that would indeed be cool, though I have a feeling they will outlive the owner. I've loved the beretta 92 since Walker, Texas Ranger was a thing and it's my favorite handgun, but the more scratches and dings I find on it, the more I want to lock it in a box for safe keeping. The regard would be a good substitute that I can less afraid to beat up
@@thetexasgunvault lol. I found out today that Fiocchi 147 gr hp will not run in the pistol. I had to go to the range and fire the pistol with an empty mag since I couldn’t eject the chambered round. I checked the 147 gr against 124 gr hp from Fiocchi and found the 147 gr was over 1/16 longer. Buffalo Bore 147 gr runs just fine as well as Underwood. I appreciate the review and really like the Regard and plan on using it as my woods gun when hunting next month.
@@carlhansen8672 I'm going to have to see if I can find some of this and try it out in my Regard pistol. I know you said the 147 gr was 1/16 longer than the 124 gr, but was anything else weird about it? I wonder if it was just a quality issue with that batch of 147 grain HP from Fiocchi?
Thanks for the review. Considering Israel is one of our closest “ally’s” and they are horrendous and brutal, I don’t personally take the ally metric as any useful indicator.
This brand manufacturing at my hometown Giresun(what "Gir" stands for). I'm not trying to be fanboy but this pistols are best. And you guys buying it even cheaper than us, you lucky bustards. We have too much tax in turkiye.
