  • According to 2015 research, up to 80 percent of people with RA have TMD, which is a cause of tightness in the jaw.
    RA may damage the jaw joint and surrounding tissues. It can also cause bone loss in the jaw.
    If your locked jaw is due to Osteoarthritis (OA), there may be deterioration and loss of function of the jaw bone, cartilage, and tissue. This can result in a tight, painful jaw. Try extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) for this as well as my TMJ videos.

    If you have a fever and fear a Tetanus infection, please see a doctor immediately to get help with the infection. Other symptoms may include stiffness in your abdomen, difficulty swallowing and painful muscle contractions in your jaw and neck.
    Muscle tension (often from clenching teeth) can cause a pull on the jaw joints and facial pain. Using these TMJ relief pressure points and facial muscle exercises to reduce pain and discomfort in your jaw and TMJ symptoms like inflammation, spasms, swelling and pain.
    By addressing the muscles/pressure points, we have a way to help restore the mechanics of the jaw joints and even the alignment of the cranial bones.
    You may be experiencing some of the following symptoms:
    -Muscle pain around the jaw TMD
    -Clicking or popping sounds when you move your mouth or chew
    -Difficulty opening your mouth due to tightness of the jaw
    -Pain in the front part of your ear that can travel to your cheeks, ear, and temple

    I used to struggle with a jaw problem that made it difficult for me to open my mouth wide enough to eat. Every day, I would wake up with a stiff neck, regardless of the position I slept in. However, after discovering and following your video exercises, my life has changed dramatically.
    During the peak of the pandemic in 2020, seeing a chiropractor or any doctor was not an option. But your exercises came as a blessing. I’ve been pain-free since I started following your neck exercises. I haven’t needed to see a chiropractor or any other doctor since then.
    I cannot express how grateful I am for your help. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise through these videos. They have truly made a difference in my life.

      Locked jaw. Thank you, Thank you! Finally I have some relief after doing your exercises. Especially #7, I’ve had this condition for about 2 months. It has gotten worse with time. Now I really feel relief . I will continue with your exercise programs . They really do work. I’m 78 years old and workout 2 to 3 times a week. I was thinking that maybe the stress from working out was causing my locked jaw. I now believe it was my last dental crown replacement that started it. Once again thank you and I will continue working with your videos.

    I am so surprised, at 68 years old, I am just now learning about muscles in the head and neck. For so long, stretching and exercising the head and neck muscles have NOT been part of ANY workout routine.
    Before CoVid, I developed a chronic headache at the left temple of my head and had it for almost four years. After doctors appointments, physical therapy and medication, nothing seemed to work.
    I stumbled across Adam Fields DC and it was a game changer. I no longer have the headache. I don't know how long I have had TMJ (forever sounds about right). Stress in my neck had been a constant thing.
    Following the Pain Relief exercised on TH-cam by Adam Fields has been a wonderful relief. I do at least three of his exercises a day.

    Thank you very much for creating these high-quality TMJ videos. Splendid work👍👍! Last year, I practiced TMJ #1-5 daily which fixed my right jaw pain. At the beginning of this year, my left jaw had some closing problem. I am now feeling fine after practicing TMJ #1 to #7 once a day for one month.

I have unknown facial pain for 2years.... do so many dental CT and root canal treatment, Sinusitis treatment and many pills for nerve pain..... almost want to give up then TH-cam showing your clips to me.     I have been suffering from TMJ pain (left side) for 4 months. I seek help from dentists, doctors and specialists but only with some improvement. 18 days ago, I came across your video. I practiced all 7 videos and in half an hour, I felt much better. But I feel a bit hurt and perhaps it's too tiring for 7 videos a day. So, I tried video 1,2,7,and 6 in the morning, video 5 in the afternoon, video 7 and 6 before bed. I skip the duplicated exercises especially the month opening exercises for fear of overwork. My face muscle pain has been reduced 80% and even if I feel it too stressed, just do some acupressure, the pain is gone. Dr Fields, thank you for the comprehensive exercises. I especially like the tongue exercise as I have not yet found such exercises from other youtubers. I'll get you and other sufferers informed of my progress. Thank you. Respect from Hong Kong, China.

    Been following your videos for only 4 days so far doing two vids a day and already noticing a difference!! I tried putting 3 fingers in at the start and my jaw was incredibly tight.     Finally! Relief for pain that's been going on for many years. Thousands of dollars later with no help, and I can already tell that your videos are the answer. I am so grateful. One question.     I want to really thank you for relieving me of excruciating pain in right side of the jaw by watching your videos for few days. Your videos are amazing and my son suggested to me.
    But my misalignment on my right side of jaw is still there. How to fix that? Checked with three dentists and there is no problem with my teeth. Please advise. Thank you so so much. 🙏

    Hello Doctor Fields. Question: how would you unlock a jaw locked closed / DDWOR not trismus. Usually during night sleep I'd get my jaw to lock up and I am unable to open it. Yesterday this happened again and it's been more than 24h now that I am unable to fully open my mouth or eat any food (locked on my left side).
    Any additional insight in this direction would be much appreciated.

    I"m wearing braces and been suffering from ear fullness in one ear for days and tingling sensation in the same ear for weeks.I couldn’t do jaw line exercises since I'm wearing braces. Is it something I should be worry??
