In fact, that intro was appended to this video. It was used to back the planetary images you see here, and spliced onto the start of the official promo clip, which was of the promo mix/edit. If you listen closely there is a brief moment of silence at the join. Capitol never issued the song as you hear it here.
@Chip Schmidt You're right - except this video doesn't contain the full version. Count the verses. The 45 has a verse that was edited out of the promo ("I could tell you I love you, I do...") which doesn't appear here. Your 45 (which I also own: the original mono mix which is far superior to the more available stereo version) runs nearly a minute longer than what you see (and hear) here.
Thanks for posting. I subscribed. I liked this song so much I put it on my YT music playlist: 1960's SUPER FANTASTIC MUSIC. MIND BLOWING. IT'S ALL TOO MUCH. PUT IT ON YOUR PHONE! NOT "GREATEST HITS" TOP 40. TOP 1000!
que pendejo!!!! años en }youtube y no habia visto este video solo el tema musical de ellos DEVERAS QUE ES UNA JOYA MUSICAL DE TODOS LOS TIEPOS SALUDOS!!!!
What was going on with all the 'spiritual' hokum in that generation? Four of the band 'found' Scientology and so threw out out the other two (the lead singers) who didn't want to become Scientologists. They said their refusal to join made them "suppressive persons." Idiots.
Psychedelic man. I loved this song from my college freshman year!
Tengo 70 años k bonitos recuerdos de mi juventud de la novia de mi barrio con esta cancion
This track and video ( most likely shot on 16 mm film ) come from a very specific time and place... takes me WAY BACK!
The long slow intro to this song was rarely played on the radio. It just started with the 'I Love You' part.

The intro was included on radio stations in Miami. This has been one of my favorite songs since it was released.

Gratitude!
I remember this song while riding the bus to school. Original.
Because the radio announced them as , People.
Frank Morin The group is People.
Original was the Zombies but it was only a B side for them but People made it a hit
a little trivia...the keyboard player, Al Ribisi is the father of actor Giovanni Ribisi (Phoebe's brother in Friends and tons of movie appearances).
Que rolón!
the only joke is in your pants.
Reason it reminds you of the Zombies is because it is their song originally
lol, good to know. The People version is what Im familiar with, haunted by.
linda essa música antiga

Love this. Reminds me of the Zombies. Same era.
This is a cover of The Zombies song.
Thanks - guess I was right! Now it makes sense.
Written by The Zombies! I like both versions but prefer this one.
🌟🎶💟🎶🌟
"Ouch!" Naw, I like it. Apple cart.
Bunch of Scientologists except Larry Norman so they kicked him out of the group.
Never mind the long version, used to love this song 🦅
I love the long version. It's the one I had.
Tanto tiempo buscando está canción y por fin la encuentro ❤️
Me too! 😊
Too bad scientology was more important.
