I have never been able to update the maps as I thought I had the pro head unit as it looks like yours. I guess I have been trying the wrong maps thanks fella that’s the best maps update vid I have seen yet

Spotted two things that you might find useful.
First is reverse and mirror pan, if I leave the wing mirror adjustment toggle pointed to the left wing mirror, when I shift into reverse the mirror pans down allowing me to watch the rear left wheel. Switch back into Drive, the mirror returns to normal position. If the adjustment toggle is on the right hand mirror, nothing happens, could be a UK Left hand drive thing...
Second thing, spotted a rocket button on my sat nav for the first time the other day, was half looking at the screen while driving. Thought I was seeing things. It re-appeared and I managed to press it, caused the map to zoom out to "curvature" of the earth and back in on my position again. I do not know how to make this happen voluntarily, but I know its real now.

I have a golf mk7, 2014. The memory for the automatic window on the driver side keeps getting lost. How can I set this?
Also when I put the car in reverse the side mirrors on both sides does net tilt down. I've confirmed on the settings this function is on.

its not deleted Jay (the radio icon)....your logo was on DAB side of it and you were setting up the FM side (setups are the same for both FM and DAB)
You should of also mentioned where to get them from. You can download them from VW but some of the logos are not there (UK anyways) ... got mine from here as per what I needed... media.info/radio/how-to/radio-station-logos-for-your-volkswagen-or-skoda-radio

I don’t have option car net in my car golf R 2016
Is anyone else just having a loading screen saying “checking navigation data...” after doing the update for a long period of time?? (Bearing in mind the previous owner hasn’t update the satnav since it was bought - 2013). I’m just hoping it’s a big update and that I haven’t cocked my satnav up 🤦🏻♂️
