    This Vlog is the best thing coming out of RoosterTeeth right now. And that's not necessarily a swipe at the other content they've been doing lately, it's more of a big compliment to the Vlog.

    My dad was displaced from Rockport, and still hasn't gone home yet. I went three days without hearing from when the hurricane hit, and got him out as soon as I got word where he was and that he was okay.
    He's staying with my brother in Dallas now, and didn't need to go to a shelter, but it really means so much to me that you guys are doing this for the folks of Houston, where I lived for 12 years.
    All the feelz. Thanks, Rooster Teeth.

      Peter Walker this is such a touching story I hope that you and father recover from this as soon as possible. I swear if I was not so far away from Texas I would be begging my family to go out there and help. I actually know a person who was just displaced from their home I. The hurricane Irma that hit Florida so ik just how you feel. When I heard their voice agin I was so happy. I really wish you the best.

    It is quite sad when disaster hits anywhere 😔
    But when disaster comes people come together. There is so much love and support from so many people. People heading down to those areas to help out, neighbors looking out for each other. I love that RT is also showing support for Harvey victims. Even with Irma that recently hit where I am, everyone has been so helpful and kind during the cleanup process.
    I pray for all the victims of Harvey and Irma. 💕 I pray that you all are safe and recovering from these two horrible hurricanes. ❤️

    Everyone should like this video, even if you didn't like the content. The more likes on the video the more money they'll get from this video and the more money they'll donate. Takes 2 seconds to do and has no negative impact on you.

    • @HNGamingOfficial
      @HNGamingOfficial 6 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Jacob, stop being obstinate. The point of likes is to get something seen, and trending. Sharing works too, clearly. There's really no need to attempt to counter argue something that is clearly meant with good intent, and is actually true. Here's the point, no one will get to the ad in the video, if they don't even see the video. Don't grow up being a douche ok?

    I don't want to knock anything in this video because what you guys do here and just in general is amazing work. But you have a large audience and you guys have never been afraid to talk about topics people aren't normally talking about. if you could do something even just to raise awareness that the hurricanes are not the only natural disasters happening right now. the whole northwest and Canada is burning right now and people need support up there as well. i know it's nothing to the same extent and this comment will probably fall into the nether of comments pretty quickly. but it would be really cool to even just hear you guys take a minute to bring it up on the next podcast so those that lost everything they own in those fires can at least get a little help sent their way.
    sorry to rant. love you guys. keep doing amazing stuff

    • @ToG_Michael
      @ToG_Michael 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Dan Chapman but that's why it's great that he's making a video like this. These kits can be universally used in any disaster. Now anyone near a disaster area who are wondering how to help know what to do.

    • @danchapman8482
      @danchapman8482 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ToG_Michael that's a very fair point. Those packs are universally helpful. It would just be good to get some awareness going for the fires. Even what blizzard did with their new donation pet was nice that they stated that the funds help all natural disasters not just the hurricane victims

    • @FilthAndRuin
      @FilthAndRuin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The reason they're focusing on the Houston hurricane though is that they're based in Texas, so a number of them have family and friends affected by the crisis. It's in their state so it directly affects them more than the other natural disasters going on. I understand that you'd like even just a mention but it's probably hard for them to focus elsewhere right now when it's their own backyard.

    • @blinkx1070
      @blinkx1070 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can attest to some of the stuff happening in Canada. I live in Kelowna BC, and while I'm not affected directly by any of it, we've basically been perpetually in a giant smoke cloud. For the larger part of a week we couldn't even see half a kilometer across the lake, the sky was orange and the sun was bright red. For most of August we got basically no rain in our 40 degree heat.
      Forest fires are pretty common during the summer but this is the worst it has EVER been. The smoke is so bad that we've been told not to do any strenuous outdoor activities and to limit the amount of time spent outside. For a while I was having a hard time sleeping because the smoke was starting to affect my lungs.

    Keep up the great work of helping those who are in need Rooster Teeth. and keep up the other great work you do that put asmiles on peoples faces as well some times when money is not something you can help with just lending a hand with other things like the support kits and helping with the clean up or even being there to help as a shoulder to cry on is a big help to people who have lost so much that just knowing that some one cares makes a big difference. Keep up the good work.

    I can't do much myself, but I only wish the best for everyone affected. May everyone get back on their feet swiftly, and normalcy for the most part return.

    The amount of comments with people removing their ad block and re-watching this video purely to create revenue for the disaster relief is amazing. Faith in humanity right here.

    Burnie, I really, REALLY appreciate this video. The kits you guys prepared are detrimental in the recovery process. The last part though, THAT really means a lot to me. "Throwing money at the problem" isn't always the solution. While it definitely helps, hands-on, physical man power is always needed. Sometimes it's knowing that a random stranger is helping out, trying to help a community thrive again. There is so much I want to say, so many recommendations to make. Just... help. If you're in the proximity and the danger has passed, just go. Be prepared, but go. There will always be SOMETHING to do, someone to help. You don't have to report on it, record it, or even talk about it. That feeling that is instilled within you though, it is an indescribable, immeasurable feeling of self worth and humbleness. Sure, emotions will arise and if they do, cry it out. Hug a stranger, friend or family member, or all of them and cry it out. We're only human, and it's okay. I love Rooster Teeth and what you guys do. Seeing this and your other charitable contributions affirm my beliefs even more, to contribute to your company and to be a part of something greater.
    Keep doing what you guys do.
    It's appreciated more than you will all ever know.
    Love from Nashville,
    Robert
