    Saw my first one of these in the metal in Cork today. Did double and treble takes it’s so futuristic and slick looking. Smoked everything from standing at the lights too, incl. a MB E350. I wish I could rationalise a purchase myself, but its battery capacity and the longer-range driving I typically do are incompatible. Looking forward to its bigger sister’s release whenever that may be!

    I have buy a honda e 3 months ago . Its a verry good car . About the range its drive 200 km ( if you drive not agresiv ) about hiting its true its use range ,,if you use hiting at maximum power ) AC its use only 2 km range , so no problem about AC . And remember you pay 30k € for a cool car. (City car ) if you want more range and not a technology car buy a Renault zoe .

    Nice one good positive feedback 👍 I am going to look at a White and Yellow Honda e on Sunday hopefully I get a good deal though i will be trading my Aygo in.
    The Honda e has had my attention since the concept it is the most exciting electric Car so far. Whether Honda will bring out a Type 2 version in the years to come will have to wait and see. I hope the charging infrastructure improves alot in the near future or a battery 🔋 upgrade would be nice.

    I've read and watched many reviews of the Honda E, and you all agree: driving it is enough to make a clinically-depressed person feel that life is worth living again, but it doesn't have more range than 99% of drivers need. You emphasized the driving a bit more and the range a bit less than most of the other reviews, ergo, your review's a bit better than most. Honestly, range anxiety keeps growing further and further past the point of madness. There are plenty of ICE vehicles that had far less range on a tank of gasoline, and no one ever worried about it.

    Would probably be great in a two car family for school runs, cheap as chips to run. But to me an ugly look but inside is very impressive. If this is the way Honda intends to go then it will be a bright future for them in EV’s.

    great review Nobby. The tech in the car is great, but unless you can afford £30k for a citycar is very steep. I've just got an eSoul and it's terrific around town and when I finally get to drive further than 5 miles, I'm sure it will be good on that too :)

      @@NobbyOnCars The Jazz has always been overpriced when compared to similar segment cars so the higher price tag should not pose a big issue for such customers - but I do wonder if they would be put off by the high levels of tech offered.

      Most ages that saw the mirrors were impressed, there is a lot going on though which may put some older people off, hard to know. But I agree, 30k isn't 'mad' money to a lot of people, especially a retired Jazz owner.

I totally agree on the design and funkiness aspect of the car and whilst it's very expensive and the range isn't great I do get what you mean tho' if I'm honest if money were no object I'd have a Renaultsport Mégane over that every time, I dunno maybe I'm just having a midlife crisis! Why would anyone think of buying a short range car, a town runabout, when they are likely to want it for long journeys?
    Apart from the ludicrous front and rear door handles, I find the Advance a delight to drive.
    I have planned to tour the UK in it and 70 to 80 miles per leg to overnight stays, I see no problem. I also know there is a fair chance I can fast charge as a safety measure.

    Not sure about the look. I see the mark 1 Golf resemblance at the front but if I'm buying a super mini car for €30k (plus post and packaging) I want it to look like 2070 not 1970. Will the NASA control center interior compromise or enhance safety?

    I think this looks kinda nice. But I think manufacturers need to offer a longer warranty on the batteries. Maybe 12 years. 8 years just isn't enough.

    • @NobbyOnCars
      @NobbyOnCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess 8 is a balance of first ownership versus cost. I don’t even know many who keep a car for 8 years though - although obviously someone will be running it in 8 years

    • @NobbyOnCars

    • @mrpotatoheadie
      @mrpotatoheadie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@NobbyOnCars I'd see 8 years warranty on the battery being reasonable against those ICE drivetrain options. Time will tell how much range loss there is in batteries. Also, we don't tend to discuss how much efficiency/power is lost over the same timeframe in ICE cars for comparison.

    4:59 Average energy consumption of 22.3 kW/100 km?! What is this thing, a tank?
    My 2019 Chevy Bolt, which is much quicker, farther-going and more powerful, seldom shows me consumption figures greater than 16 kW/100 km. True, it can drop to as low as 30, but only in serious Canadian winter temperatures when all the heating systems are on and I drive on highways.
    In a nutshell, the 22.3 kW/100 km as shown in this video is certainly too much for a car this small and the weather this favorable.

      @DavidHughes-op6zl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why in the world do you 'need' a 'comfort' armrest when you're driving - assuming that your priority is safety via a ten-to-two hands position on the steeringwheel whilst concentrating on the road ahead, around and behind? It's a car, not an extension of your sofa although I observe that the manufacturer does use the term 'lounge' in its marketing blurb, unwisely in my view. lf as it appears you feel a sense of deprivation about the absence of an armrest, lobby Honda to satisfy your apparent craving though I respectfully suggest you ask them to confine the addition for the exclusive benefit of backseat passengers. Fret not, though, because whilst you're parked in the course of a juice refill you can console yourself for the maker's unforgivable lack of provision in the matter by fixating on the calming images of fake floating fish so thoughtfully included on one of the facia screens.

    Ah, yes, folks, the Honda hee-hee e...
    ...I don't even begin to get the gush emimating from the motoring press and parts of the public about this obscenely overpriced, overteched cross between a batt-pack-shopping-trolley and a doubly concave mobile matchbox. Saleswise I predict that here in the UK it will prove to be a colossal white elephant. It features a boot the size of a postage stamp plus a range just about capable of carrying you twice round the block - ok, make that three times - added to which there's a charging-port lid on the bonnet resembling the top of your nan's commode. Finally (this next bit is tech overload gimmickry gone beserk and then some) we come to a multitude of in-your-face screens stretching would you believe the entire length of the dash, one, wait for it, forming a mock fish tank... I kid you not. Presumably its purpose is in answer to masses of ev drivers pleading with the manufacturer to be sure to feature on the facia images of floating perch etc., etc. The one aspect I applaud are those innovative door cameras but you pay a hell of a premium to enjoy their presence.
    [News recently reached me regarding an individual who, apparently murmuring yuck phrases like 'Cutesy-cutesy-cool' and probably
    wetting their underwear in the process of viewing the thing, proceeded to put down a deposit to purchase this Japanese runabout. A few weeks after taking delivery, said person went into a motor accessories shop wanting a windscreen wiper for it. The assistant's response was, 'Sounds about right! ]
