- Frightening moments for an Oakland daycare center. The incident happened last Thursday morning when there were children inside the facility. Surveillance video shows two suspects, one armed with a gun, pulling up in front of the center and stealing a car from the driveway.

Crime fluctuates just like everything else. Because it involves humans and humans are predictably inconsistent. Just examining one’s own contradictions and inconsistencies should back up my point.
Nobody is reporting crime because we know no one is coming.

The solution: society should pull back on the Internet and social media. Stop using social media and for sure stop letting your kids use social media. Stop banking online. Go to your bank and talk to real people, tellers and use cash instead of cards as much as possible.

When are you people going to get it? Criminals DO NOT CARE ABOUT GUN FREE ZONES or other warnings, beyond being happy that no one else will be armed and able to challenge them in any meaningful way. Disarming the law abiding civilian population is a large part of why this sort of thing keeps happening. Don't be happy that kids weren't threatened, they were. Instead, be angry that you have grown incapable and unprepared to defend yourselves and the children left in your charge.

My friend used to work for a lady who own an in-home daycare in Oakland. She had to quit because it was several incidents where parents was on the phone telling their friends about how “NIce” the lady house is that resulted from numerous of potential break-ins during business hours and non-business hours. Also, the fact 3 of her co-workers were robbed leaving the daycare.
Im sure your neighbors don't mind that your loud, annoying car is gone.

Glad my family moved out of Oakland.. been a resident for the longest still my Town but crime & violence is what Oakland known for.. and it aint going down anytime soon.
We drove to Oakland to drop family in OAK, speeding cars downtown and people running from crosswalks to save themselves, we counted at least 5 cars without plate numbers, road rage on the freeway and on city roads, what the hell is going on in Oakland? It is hellish… never drive to Oahu if you respect yourself and your family.

So, those criminals have parents, and those parents know what their kids are doing. If your kid doesn't have a job but brings a new cellphone home, you know how he got that. If you do nothing, you're a part of the solution. At some point, Oakland also has to start policing itself.
