I recommend you try to speed up the footage and making it transparent against detailed background while keeping the clips at 4 seconds length at max. That has been working for me.
Bludhaven was nuked by the Secret Society of Supervillains, mainly Deathstroke, as a personal attack on Nightwing for having convinced his daughter Rose to turn against him. Blockbuster was long dead before Chemo(called Slimer in this video) was airdropped to the city.
Always nice to see someone's else's opinion of a story I remember well. Since I read "Under the Hood" before the movie "Under The Red Hood" came out, the moments that felt bloated the story were just normal comic books moments for me. Like, you're one of the only humans on the planet who actually knows several people who have come back from the dead, why wouldn't you take advantage of that massive privilege that you worked for, building a "Batfamily" net and all... frankly I would have been more disappointed had Bruce just made his mind after asking Zee's opinion... But sure, if you're going to make it 75min, might as well not show everyone, and have to make a bunch of designs and possible more voice actors... Frankly, unless you're a Batman nerd who has at least read the classic sagas like "Infinite Crisis", then sure the whole "Deathstroke uses Chemo to blow up a part of Blüdhaven (the entire city didn't collapse, they later say that "only" 100 000 people were unalived, in a city of +10 000 000... kind of a win) cuz he's pissed that Nightwing... well, long story. I also really like Black Mask in that one, the comic & movie versions are different, but they're both good in different ways. As a fan of this story, I was stocked during *Titans* season 3's live action re-creation of the first meeting of the mob with Red Hood. It might even be my favorite take out of these 3, I know this show has a poor reputation but they did make some cool stuff, I thought Jason Todd was great in it...
Glad to hear your take, I didn’t think the book was bad at all, and I do love Batman though I’m not a consumer of all his material. I figured there were more threads connected to this from outside stories, and that other stuff would have explained the problems I had. I still think my argument about Joker stands though.
@@thenerddesk111 - Oh I absolutely 100% agree that Joker being present the whole time is *THE* major win that the movie version has. His incorporation in the comic was less than stellar, and I really hated his design there for some reason. Even though we got the "Fearsome Hand of 4", I'm not too mad that they changed the original team going after Nightwing, because Count Vertigo is the only member I like. (as Slade found out, it's kinda hard to sell Captain Nazi and the one Hyena that didn't die, without Count Vertigo to use _"confuse"_ on the other dudes) Still would have been a nice scene to see Black Mask and Deathstroke have a little chat, and we see him deliver the Hand to Sionis, and maybe hype them up a bit? They were a bit _too_ generic in the movie. And about Batman, frankly being a consumer of _all_ his material is pretty damn time/money consuming, especially if we also follow other titles in which he shows up like Nightwing, 'Tec and Absolute Batman, Batman .Inc, etc etc Keep up the good work!

"No, someone crazy would use it to make a battle suit and fly to Metropolis to try to become the king of the world. He's up to something." I'm translating from Spanish because I've read it in the Mexican edition.
I 🤔 Firefly would have been a better henchman for Red Hood . The image of Mr. Freeze's storyline is him being a tortured scientist trying to find a cure for his wife!!
I did a this same comparison review over a year ago as a part 3 of my then-ongoing Jason Todd Trilogy(which the TH-cam Algorithm for some reason refuses to share to more people). Long story short; both the comic and the movie, written by Judd Winnick, are flawed versions of the same story with the perfect version of being somewhere in the middle. The comic is too connected into the then-ongoing DC Universe continuity from that time, even tieing into the Infinite Crisis which just doesn't work, when the Joker was running around freely when he should have been held captive by Jason and the latter 3rd of the story supposedly happend in the middle of Infinite Crisis when Batman had just learned that Superboy-Prime destroyed the Justice League Watchtower and took Martian Manhunter captive(and Bludhaven being nuked happened during Infinite Crisis too). The movie on the other hand, while cutting out some of those connections, unfortunately ends up cutting out TOO MUCH without providing context on how Batman carried on in those years in between the flashback and the present day, while both Nightwing and Black Mask are flanderized into an incompotent comic relief(leader of the Teen Titans, everybody) and an over-actingly angry exposition machine(while in the comic his anger was slowly built up by all the set-ups the Red Hood caused to the Black Mask's criminal operations). Also, that 2020 animated movie on A Death in the Family was nothing but a cheap cashgrap that only made the characters in it look bad and cutting out Sheila Haywood as Jason's mother was another cardinal sin. The only good thing I could name is that the dialogue establishes The Killing Joke having happened before the movie, UNLIKE how TKJ movie tried to establish that A Death in the Family had already happened before it.

For me, Red Hood takes the title as best DC animated movie. It was so good, they tried to recapture the magic with that interactive... mess.
