I worked as a desk clerk doing night audit. One night a guest called the desk to complain that someone had thrown a trash bag off the balcony in a room above theirs....when I went to investigate, I found it was a gentleman who had jumped off the roof. One of the most disturbing images I had ever seen.

I did 🏨 security at a Days Inn in metro Orlando.gov . 2000s era(2x, 2003/2006). We had a few suicides while I worked there. One middle age guy took a bunch of illegal drugs 💊 drank a lot, got on his hotel bed 🛏, drape the bedspread over himself then shot himself 1 time with a .357magnum. Sheriffs office detectives & ME crews were by the room for 12-16hr. Another guest aced themselves in a bath room. Pills, booze. That may have been a OD. 😵

I work as a cleaner. Yes, you need sanitation workers to clean piss, poop, and vomit because it requires a completely different education, skills, and materials to clean. Which regular cleaners don't have.

I worked several motels and hotels for a few years in housekeeping. I realize that front desk and food service had to deal with a lot of crap, but housekeeping got the majority. At one motel, an old man took a room with three old hunting dogs for six weeks, no maid service, just towels. After he left the smell of old dog was so strong we had to strip the room, carpet and all right down to bare walls and concrete floor. Proffessional cleaners couldn't get the smell out of the concrete, the room was out of service for months. Otherwise the usual, vomit, shit, drugs, spoiled food , dirt, dirt, dirt, booze, sexual toys and lubes. Oh and binders of bomb diagrams. Did I mention a couple of properties I worked were contracted for lodging for students of the Federal Law Enforcement Facility? So yeah, some of them left training binders behind when they left. Scary shit.

My ex used to be the evening supervisor at a roadside diner that had a motel attached, both being part of a highly-regarded national chain. One evening the motel manageress didnt turn up and my ex was drafted in to cover for her. She very quickly realised that the manageress had turned the place into a brothel that had been operating for long enough to become both well established and highly regarded. Worst thing was disovering that if demanded exceeded supply the manageress had been more than willing to turn a trick herself and, as a result, had become highly sought-after and that in her absence punters expected my ex to "cover" for her.
The manageress's teenaged daughter was employed as a cleaner at the motel. My ex decided to leave it to those further up the pay-scale to establish exactly what the girls 'duties' involved.

@Updoot Everything -What is with that corny ass 1800's piano music in the background? It seems quieter since the other video, but keep just turning it down until it's off. Who listens to crap like that? (Robotic voice is sometimes manageable) I just pause, then read the words, but I would like to listen to stories while I work.
