By gum Simon, that’s a place will be trying when we come over to Whitby in October. The picture of the breakfast you added in was just what I needed to convince me. Thanks for all these recommendations because our flights from Australia are costing enough so we need a few bargains.
The beans and eggs are usually the first thing to go cold. I suspect they got plated up first and were hanging around before the rest was ready. Good price though considering there was toast and marmalade left for afters!
Did that used to be Sherlocks? My beloved Whitby, used to be fabulous. Shops for locals as well as tourists, Winter became ours, all quiet. When the major pub chains moved in and the local shops disappeared, we said thanks but no thanks and left.
Sherlocks is a bit further up..and yes the chains have moved in because they are the only ones who can afford the rents and business rates. Still lots of independents but the town is just rammed all year round now..

Often made a detour and called in at the Jollies for a pint and there would be me, the barmaid and a bloke called Dave....lol
@@popeyedish Those were the days. Used to play bingo at the rowing club on church street in the winter. Was just like going back in time 100 years, cobbled streets, subdued lights and hardly a soul. Sooo quiet, just the trawlers heading out.
Looked an excellent breakfast that. Love Whitby me, was there a week ago, didn't do any eating but visited a few pubs, sun was shining. Glad the wetherspoons has reduced their drinks prices by over a pound since I was last there, good food menu too. Very busy but quick service. Finally found the fisherman's social club, google no help, had to ask about. Brilliant club, pound to sign in and pints £2.50, horse racing on and cricket, lovely atmosphere, good juke box and pool table. Love the place, found another pub with free pool table and free juke box but pints £4.40 but nice place. Will definitely be back to try that breakfast and some fish and chips. Keep up the excellent videos 😊

Thanks for the wheelchair info. I went to the stables once about 5 years ago for a Sunday lunch. It was that cold I thought they had took it out the fridge not the oven. Needless have not been back. Chin chin
Brilliant video, Simon, and it shows the importance of videos like yours... I will now be going to this place when i visit Whitby in a few weeks, so you've got this Cafe some extra custom. I hope the shops realise you are getting them business, it's great free advertisement. I feel shops in general are a little negative or wary of someone with a phone, making a video. In the technological age we live in, they need to embrace it.
Generally in a B&B so get breakfast provided. But if I ever bring the dog I would definitely get one of them it looked gorgeous. I'm watching after 7pm and my juices are flowing. For info' went in the golden lion pub last month and it stank dunno if some milk had been spilt or something but it was very foisty. Enjoyed the review more please. 👍

so the large Americano coffee is 2 pound 85 (as my cousins from across the pond say) but that big ol' breakfast is just 8 pound 95? I 'm perplexed. This side of the pond I can get a cup of coffee for $1 maybe a $1 and a half but a big old breakfast like that we're well approaching $15. Just a weird dichotomy between the beverage to food prices. Everything looks delicious, also the Texan made me chuckle.

The Cindertrack starts in Whitby at the bottom of Chubb Hill. If you research on Google then you will see that you can ride all the way to Scarborough. Good luck.

First time i came to Whitby 2 years ago and i'd only just got there not even stepped out of the Royal Hotel and i took ill. Lovely doctor got medication to me within hours to the door. I don't see the need for greenery on a breakfast kind of defeats the object. All that fried food and a smidge of salad. Was the bacon smoked. Eggs over cooked. Not enough beans . Do you not put sauce on your food or you like it as it comes? oh you did brown sauce ok.
The Breakfast looks delicious and the cafe is spotless but i like to eat my food in reasonably peace and quiet not with so called background music so unfortunatly not for me , why do eateries think that everyone has to listen so form of noise while eating , love your vids keep up the good work , always loved Whitby , all the best , Brian .

It's that Hash brown, does it deserve it's place on a traditional English breakfast? Is it not from across the pond?🇺🇸 😂 Saying that , it did look a nice plate full of quality grub . An English breakfast is so easy to get wrong, Java café made a smashing good job of it ...👍 Nicely cooked,good size portion & great value for the price . Beans in a ramekin😢Hash Browns, not on a full English 😢But,the very,very good points😊 A mighty meaty looking sausage,good thick cut rashers of back bacon.A grand field mushroom,well cooked by the look of it😊Blackpudding,not one of my favourites, but looked fresh cooked 😊.Eggs a tadge over,for me. However,major big 👆, the lesser spotted side plate for your toast😊😊❤,and not just mixed toast but enough butter!😊AND jams&marmalade ❤😊! 4Got the cost & the tomato needed a touch more colour,in my opinion 😮 all that,plus coffee& a water Bloomin Bargain 😊Allan&Family

The sausages were too dark in color. They almost looked burnt. Why does everyone get those runny sunny side up raw yolk eggs? I like my egg yolks to be cooked and I also like scrambled eggs or omelets.
I don't know why most of these café full English breakfast reviews all have sunnyside up half cooked snotty eggs which are not nice and spoil the breakfast!!!!
Enjoyed ur videos around whitby yet u do remind me of muttley the dog wacky races and now worsened with cough and splutter, you may need a lemsip and a bone

Yes, do it! We were over from Australia in May, in Whitby four days, went to Java twice. It's fantastic.

Beans do not belong on a full English. Grilled tomatoes massively undercooked and don't get me started on hash browns.
