English Breakfast vs African Breakfast - Who Wins?

  • So, who makes the best breakfast? Is it the English or is it the Africans?
I compare a full english breakfast against a north African breakfast to see who is best.
From the England I eat a full english breakfast which usually contains bacon, sausage, eggs, baked beans, toast, black pudding, roasted tomato and fried mushrooms and a cup of tea.
From North Africa I eat Shakshouka which is usually baked eggs or poached eggs in a tomato and red pepper sauce. In the one I specifically had there was also greek yoghurt, crispy chickpeas, feta cheese, paprika and toasted sourdough bread.

The English is pretty basic, catering sausage, egg overdone same as the mushrooms, bit overpriced! The Indian looked nice but I don't do spice

I say English, but that other one looks like something I'd have for lunch or dinner 🍽 😋

Wow that Shakshouka does look good but I don't think I could face that for breakfast, I'd eat that for dinner. That said I couldn't eat a cooked English breakfast in the morning either

It was ok as there was no meat in it so not too heavy a meal

I'm English so going to be biased and say the Full English but some of that food on the plate looked pre cooked and and shown a griddle to char and warm back up when ordered , that sort of spoils it a little foe me.
I have had and love Shakshuka as the base for this is just like Harrisa but never had it with yogurt or fetta cheese , it's an anytime meal that can be eaten for breakfast but if it's not spicy hot it's not the real deal 🤣
    Great vlog fella 😎

I’m a traditionalist. Nothing against things like that African breakfast but it’s something I think I’d have for lunch or dinner. Not breaky. It’s a bit to ‘wet’ for a breaky for me . More like a veggie stew I’d be mopping up with chunks of bread.

Mopping it up with bread would be amazing 😋

Mmm! Nope, can't choose, love 'em both. We made a big pan of shakshuka a couple of months ago, and it was amazing. Having said that, the food you grew up with is always comforting, so . . . Full English for breakfast, shakshuka for lunch.

The English breakfast is great but without the black pudding and bubble and squeak instead.and tin tomatoes.i put some olive oil and a teaspoon of honey and some pepper.and I like cheap beans I think they taste better depending which ones .

I love a Scottish breakfast, shame they ruined the bacon. The macsween haggis is not the best. I tried some from sainsburys and was disapointed. Enjoyed much better ones in Scotland and go there every year to get my fix 😊

Given the ubiquitous application I am unclear on the meaning of "pretty good"
