We came to Whitby today and walked along the railway to Ruswarp for a Pork Pie (In the rain) on your recommendation, we were NOT disappointed!! We walked back (not in the rain) and sampled the Fish and Chips at The Angel Fisheries, again on your recommendation, again we weren't disappointed. I even tried to retrieve a wrist band but obviously way to late. Excellent channel, enjoy your laid back style.
Love your laugh mate. I live in the states and you bring so much England back to me and the misses. We lived in Manchester and we do this home sick shit on a regular basis. We have been over here for 11 years but you make it real along with a couple of other guys. Keep smiling pal
Thanks Simon ...looked fantastic. I live in Melbourne Australia now but loving your videos....I am originally from York and my Mum still lives in Scarborough!! Watching your videos brings a lot of happy memories of home. When I was little my grandmother used to take us to Knaresborough regularly and we would always get a pork pie from the market square butcher there....awww they were amazing!! I can still taste them now! Thanks again Simon...keep well. See you on the next one!
Lovely in Whitby that Simon. Granthams do a nice pork pie in Batley/Mirfield. My Mother manages the Mirfield shop so she always brings a couple home if they are being chucked out!
Looks delicious. Great video as always Good Sir. Also the Hidden Wrist Bands are a very cool idea! If only I could find one but I'm all the way in the US lol :)
Went there today on your recommendation Simon and I have to say you are so right about these pies, absolutely delicious and moreish. This is now my go to butcher's. Next time you go don't eat the one you buy for Mrs M. or you'll be in the doghouse again!!!!
Hello Simon, if i might make so bold, new viewer to your channel. Pork Pie 😊😊with the sound of that pastry, and the fact you cut it with a plastic knife. Bloomin 'eck I'm impressed. Brown sauce or a good dollop of Branston pickles. Couldn't see much jelly in the pie, which makes a good pie better😊 look forward to the next video Cheers 🥂

That looked lovely Simon. Never tried one of theirs but Breckons butchers on golden lion bank do a nice pork pie especially when just out of the oven. For the record Landers butchers in Baxtergate do a lovely steak pie and nice bite sized sausage rolls again absolutely gorgeous when freshly cooked. 😋
Hey Simon All good things come to a end.. Left Whitby this morning for home. Unfortunately didn't get to find a wristband, but enjoyed your Vlogs Me & Mrs k had a smashing Regatta weekend, enjoying the lancaster bomber, red arrows & closing fireworks. Oh... Not to mention the great food we had including, Pizza west, Macy Brown's having a NY burger, cocktails quality time spent. 😂 Best pork pie in Whitby.. That a Bold statement 🤔,it looked a little dry for my liking. 😂 I like mine having a slightly softer pastry, with a good amount of pork meat & jelly Oh... A blob of colman's english mustard wouldn't go a miss, just to enhance the flavour. 😋 Chin chin, my friend 😀👍
Hi Simon the pork pie looks good that rewinding love pork very lots plus baker in butcher shop seven half years love job all the pie made bye hand miss Victoria Jane twibell Simon love talk about whitby I love go whitby for day and meal trencher fish and chips
@@simplysnuff6512 I don't think they do pork pie as literally said but they do pies and they have different flavours and they are lovely, they do gravy with mash and either mushy peas or garden peas (based in ww1 &2 with the music )
Mr Simon if you go on there face book page it look like the small pork pies are £1.65 each I think you must have bought some other things at the same time and your keeping them to yourself that's why you don't know how much the are.
The pink "Ham" inside that "Pork" pie, obviously makes it a "Ham Pie". Pork Pies have that unmistakable "porky" grey colour, just ask for a ham sandwich or a pork bap? . Living close to the "DOC, Melton Mowbray pork pie" area, this info was given to me from one of the makers of a said "Melton Mowbray Pork Pie". Just a little insight for you to realise they are filling the pie with cooked ham, instead of cooking the pork in the pie, like the original.
Did anyone find the Simply Whitby! wrist band?

If there's one thing better than a ripper pork pie, it's a bloke who really enjoys a ripper pork pie!!! You've got it covered, mate. Good on ya!!!
Lovely in Whitby that Simon. Granthams do a nice pork pie in Batley/Mirfield. My Mother manages the Mirfield shop so she always brings a couple home if they are being chucked out!
I once walked up that hill from Ruswarp to Whitby. It was steep!
5:14 and a chopping board, love it 😂, looks a very tasty pie,
Nice one ! Thanks for the good advice .
Jacksons best butchers bar none. Can remember queuing all way up hill in December 2009 in snow to get Christmas bounty. Great vlog as always.
We have some cracking growlers in Barnsley thanus Simon but that looked on another level, I'm experiencing envy 😂 👍
100% best pies in the area. Good job you got an individual pie. I bet a family sized one would not have reached home!
You should have got a mug of tea to take out from the Whistlestop Cafe to have with your pork pie on the bench there mate!! The perfect companion!!
That looked quality Simon, I’ll try one next time we are around. 👍
The jelly makes a nice pork pie into a 'top banana' pork pie Simon 😄
That pie looks grand though!
A good pint with that, heaven!😋😋
Exactly!
6:02 😂😂 Break your teeth on that, just cracked me,

I did buy several items....and forgot to get a receipt!!
Seems to lack jelly.
I think Bothams are the best
Yes they are very nice indeed!
Dry humour . Desolate lol

Thought £2.50 for pork pie was a bit dear but thats from a yorkshire man😂
Did you buy one for Mrs M. Simon?🥮
Yes... But then I scoffed both of them.
