I’ve watched numerous reviews of this dac and you’re the first person that went into details on sound signature of each op amp. Great job on bringing new information on this excellent dac!
Thanks for the explanation of the op amp options Geshelli offers. I've watched other reviews about Geshelli products but didn't have a clue about what types would be best or how to change them. You are fabulous!!
I love the top of the line Sparkos SS2590 op-amp - it has incredibly clean and neutral tonal balance, and wonderful dynamics. A "3D" soundstage with layering that is second to none, in my opinion. I have owned the Geshelli J2, J2S (with two different AKM chips) and now the Dayzee. Using an improved power supply (I have a linear power supply) and upgraded to the SS2590 op-amps - it is the best DAC I have heard.
I had J3 with 2590 op amps. I loved that thing. Now I'm waiting for my Dayzee with 2590 op amps. Geshelli are great people with great products. Very nice video.
Great job! I love you have discovered this company. Geshelli labs is a superstar company and they are great people. I have met them many times and they are fantastic.
Thanks for doing the review on the JNOG3, it’s an outstanding affordable DAC and the Geshelli family is the nicest people you’ll ever talk to and I really looking forward to their newest products like their latest preamps and amplifiers designs coming down the pike..
hiiii I have the J3 ! So nice to see you give it a positive review. I love mine, it’s in a custom, carved wood case like Geshelli has in stock sometimes. It is so pretty and looks incredible in my flat. It sounds even better than it looks. Love your review
I’ve got the J2S, going to get the J3 or dayzee soon. When I ordered my J2, I made a few adjustments with opamps and color. This company is great. They make you feel like you’re their most important customer. If every company on the planet did business like geshelli, life would be soooo much better. Also, great video. Your presentation was clean, easy to understand and informative. Thx!
Great review! I love that you hit all the main points of the dac and gave us a breakdown of the difference in the op amps. I love your channel. Keep up the great work! Happy Holidays everyone!
Great video, and a testament to the hope you bring as a young, smart, and personable audiophile and content creator. I have a really nice/special Dac already, but your review makes me want to get a Geshelli. Adjustable sound signature in a very high quality Dac is really temping! Thank you for your comprehensive review🙏🏼
Thank you for your in-depth and well thought review. I appreciate the op-amp audio description - nobody else has done this as succinctly and with such vivid comparisons. You have a great audio setup, and the colors of your J3 are really pretty. Love your content and hope to see more soon.
About a year and a half ago I started out with their stock J2 with a beautiful Purple Wood case. But they recently upgraded it for me with the AKM4499 board and chipset. Plus I upgraded to the Sparkos SS3602 op-amp. It's an amazing transformation in sound. It blew away the Topping D70 Pro Octo that had temporarily replaced my stock J2. There was no J3 or J2s when I bought my J2.. that's why I did all the upgrades.
Great Review! I have other Geshelli products and love them all. My J3 was ordered a few weeks ago and should arrive soon. They're great people and they make great products. Thank You for what you do! I really enjoy your reviews!!! 👍
I listened but it wasn't close to a Chord Mojo 2 which is weird at it's price point..Neither detail or sounstage approached the Chord and the Mojo is a bit more configurable plus portable???
Just received the FiiO PL50 12/15v linear power supply. It's literally unbelievable with the J3. Unbalanced is a great upgrade, and the balanced is unreal. It's $128 on Aliexpress. Not sold on Amazon.
I just can't get over the aesthetics. It looks very cheaply built. From the 4 exposed screws securing the front and rear panels to the cheap aluminum pieces. Acrylic is very soft and will easily scratch too. Otherwise it appears to be a great performer at a very good price. I just do not like the case build quality at all. Obviously just my personal preference. I'd consider the wood, but that still uses the cheap looking acrylic front and rear. If they offered a front panel made of wood...

Which linear power supply are you using for the Dayzee?
@@AntonioJoSeis I am using a dual voltage custom made by Pine Tree Audio - it has 12V 4A for the Dayzee and 5V 3A (I think?) for my Bluesound Node 2i.
Great video! I need to get my hand on a Geshelli soon!

Bravo Spud! I love that you have the product in frame the whole time, minus your b-footage.
I've been wanting to try this dac for awhile. Great review thank you
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for your review and for explaining the different OP Amps. It seems like a good alternative to the Chinese DACs.
Absolutely lovely! The Geshelli looks nice too!

Couldn't agree more!

I've upgraded to the 2590 op amps on my xlr outputs. It's a solid piece of equipment and sounds absolutely outstanding!

you must have too much wax in your ears, as someone who owns both, the Mojo 2 for a long time, the J3 absolutely destroys the Chord

Hi. Do you have an option for people to support your channel on Patreon?
Nice work!
Sorry, I do not. However, thank you for the kind words!
Had anyone upgraded their power supply??? If so, with what???
I bought the IFI X Power adapter. Couldn't believe the difference it made. Not night and day but noticable. Cleaner more airy.
@brianmiller3121 Thanks!
