I heard their demo at the Munich show in May. They were paired with the Aune s17Pro and I had the WOW reaction. They were better than anything I heard at the show. Ofcourse I bought them. I am using them with the bluesound Node which sounds great, but I am aiming to buy the s17pro. This review is pinpoint. I agree with every word.
Great Review! It can be difficult finding great sounding closed back headphones. These could make me very happy. Thank you for your work. Your reviews are very much appreciated!!! 👍👍👍
I have the SR7000's and the AR5000's and yes, I can confirm that the soundstage of SR7000's is wider, however, if you change the pads of the AR5000's they sound wider than the SR7000's. Great review by the way!
I'm not going to watch this video. Im just commenting to appreciate your effort. Although I'd call myself a life long audiophile and music lover, I have only recently got the funds to make actual purchases. I took the plunge of buying the AR5000 as my very first headphone just a couple of months ago, which is almost 2 decades since I first heard of the release of the Sennheiser HD600. I quite like it and prefer it over a friend's HD600, but not willing to spin my head again over this new release. Thanks again, and keep it coming! Your reviews are extremely helpful in figuring out the sonic characteristics of audio gear.
Aune has released S17 Pro's updated version as S17 Pro Evo .If u get it on ur hands for review kindly check and compare its Preamp abilities too.Since I need a headphone amp which can also be used as a preamp for my speaker setup. Thanks for your review
Had been considering headphones but have preferred speakers for many years. Due to space constraints, tried going smaller with speakers and have enjoyed Dali Opticon 1s especially with a small sub. Speaker upgrades I am considering require larger sizes starting at 14 in and higher, so back to larger standmounts to get a worthwhile improvement but also it must work with a 55 watt amp I really like. Not all do. Recently considered phones as a intermediary purchase as well as getting into headphones as it won't bother the neighbors. Cheap phones are ok for checking out new tunes and podcasts but going up in price makes it difficult especially when I have had limited experience. Your review ticks all the boxes I am looking for and at the price, it isn't a big stress fest comparing reviews, price brackets, what they do well or not, etc. I probably wouldn't find much at under $200 hifi, once tried the HIFIMan HE400se which I thought were meh so returned those. Cheaper now but wasn't moved by the SQ. Spending over a grand was difficult especially for a phone newbie, so these could be a great option. There are probably a few competitors in and around the price range so will look at that but do not want to waste alot of time comparing (like with speakers).
hi mate, great video and channel...im looking at my first entry but wanting too pair with either a Shanling m5 ultra or fiio m11s....would these headphones suit? also looking at the meze 109 pro's....would these DAPs power either those cans ok? Or would something like the questyle m15i be necessary? appreciate any reply 😅
I don't test many DAPs to be honest so probably not the best to give this advice. From the ones I did try, Fiio M23 was really great and I can recommend it.
@@iiWiReviews just watching your m23 review now looks great! especially with the powered DAC option...trying not to go over 1100 euro with dap+headphones....any overears you could recommend I try also please mate?....technically this is my first audiophile setup
I have the Aune S9C Pro with Focal Clears. They sometimes sound abit too bright and spicy. I'm looking for a more laid back sound. Are these a good idea for me?
BTW, the Aune S17Pro isn't available on Amazon and have had some noted issues which I think Aune is trying to resolve. When those issues are resolved I would like to revisit the product. Having both class A and R2R tech in a single product seems quite intriguing. Also, how would the SR7000 perform with a decent class D amplifier? Any other recommendations to consider outside the Geshelli?
That's bad to hear. I don't use my as an everyday driver because it is too big for my current desktop space. Using it from time to time I haven't encountered problems so far. Can't say about class D amps. Haven't tried something like that.
Genuine question. Why do you want to use a class D amplifier for headphones? Class D are not load invariant and generally not ideal for high impedance load (anything above 4-8 Ohms). Using higher than expected load impedances will cause the class D amplifier to behave abnormally.
It can but you would leave quite a bit of their performance untapped. AR5000 are more sensitive and could probably perform equally well in that situation.
The problem is these are expensive headphones that according to your video in order to sing they need a amp at least another $600 or more. That brings the cost of these into the $1200 or more range. For most consumers the $600 cost of these headphones is out of their range, let alone the added $600 for the amp and this can only be considered a niche product not affordable by most consumers. I know that it is not your responsibility to only showcase affordable products, but just know the average consumer is not going to show interest in this niche product
„… is klling it“??? „TOTL SOUND…“??? This is a sign that this clip is not released with the necessary attention and time, obviously it has been rushed…

Great review and comparisons.
Man, youtubers make us financialy troubled. Now i need another headphone.
makes me happy to see you enjoy a product and it seems this is the close back HP im looking for, thank you brother.
Another great review. Really impressed with my Tradutto. Thanks. Cool runnings.
I have been on the fence about these, but your great review just convinced me, thanks

I want them!!!
I think that part of the headphone is called the yoke
These are on my shortlist, but I'm wondering if they will "sing" with my Topping L70/E70velvet stack?
It should be very nice match tonally.

It should be fine, these are not a difficult load. I suggest using balanced connection to tap that higher power of the DAP.
@@iiWiReviews appreciate the response! any DAPs with decent power you could recommend?

Would it pair well with Mojo 2? and if I need more power I also have a Topping LA90 amp with an adapter to work for headphones
It should work quite fine with Mojo 2 but it will appreciate if given more power.

Try focal radiance

I would like to hear these with the Auris Audio Euterpe amp.
Edit: Thanks for the great review! 😅
@kristoffer8740 a newbie re headphones, now I know.
Can my phone with a moondrop dongle work with these? Especially on a airplane flight?
It can but you would leave quite a bit of their performance untapped. AR5000 are more sensitive and could probably perform equally well in that situation.
Please, review the FiiO K9 AKM 🙏
there is a new Evo Version of de s17 Pro.

Because of language or because you know it to be less good performing?
