Great review, unfortunately there are good reasons for the draw backs you mentioned. The reason for a separate power supply ensures or minimises transformer interference with the circuit board. Also allowing the sound to pass through when the unit is off is fabulous, as you can continue to use the rest of your audio or computer equipment without having to switch the unit on all the time. Please do a review on the Douk Audio T8 Pro when you have time, the Douk does not have one of the draw backs you mentioned. The sound does not pass through when the power is switched off.

Nice review on the KEFs. Was wondering if you have any plans on reviewing the Dali Rubikore 2s ? Would love to know how they compare to the R3 Metas

Companies don’t put “better” cables with their gear, because there are so many power cables out there, and people like to choose their own cables, so a “courtesy” standard cable is included instead.

Thank you for the photo of inside the chassis - the output devices appear to be chips i.e. they contain the output transistors and higher current devices on the chips. Interestingly there are 3 output chips per channel; not the expected 2 or 4 per channel.

How do these compare to the Heco Celan 3 s you reviewed?

I had the Ultra for a week. I did not like how it make voices sound. I just ordered a bluesound nano instead.

Another great review, thanks potato fi! I looked at these but ended up going with some KEF Q150s. I liked the KEFs for better clarity, bigger soundstage (to my ears anyway) and smaller size. The RP600s did have somewhat better bass, but full agreement that both need a good sub to get full sound.

I do have KEF R300, the primary version. Even these are good speakers...3 way. I have used the pair in my new HT. My Amp needs a fresh pair for stereo audio. KEF R3 Meta is the target.

Totally agree with needing a power button on the app. I was having connectivity stability issues when streaming from wifi to the unit also.

Hi, I'm just wondering why you don't like the idea of controlling the SVS sub with an app? Getting up and going in behind a sub to adjust the volume whenever one changes an album or genre gets old real fast.
