hey can you try to get the Naim Uniti CI-102 and review it lol. it's been out less than 10 months and NO ONE will review it.

I've got two TZero's, excellent and the best Subs I've owned. Much better than the behemoths I've had.

I have an SMSL PO100PRO and you are correct...it takes the sound of my Wiim ULTRA to another level. That PO100PRO is a digital to digital converter. I have an actual Dac Geshelli J2S w/Burson op amp and my gear sounds phenomenal. That Wiim Ultra gives me preamp, subwoofer control, eq, and tidal connect. At $330 you can't get this level of functionality.

Hello, good review. straight to the point- which i like. But i wonder why do you think you need xlr connectivity? Other than lower noise floor on really long runs and a 3 to 6db gain, which equates to simply turn the volume up louder, there is no need for xlr in home audio if componenets are correctly matched and your AC line is good, and ofcourse you do not have poor quality cabling. I noticed your speaker of choice, far from my personal choice, considering the room you have (as shown in the video). This device isn't ment to be a world beater, its design is to get one involved in what is musically possible at a lower price point. I use mine in my home office and i love it , as it greatly simplfies set up and space savings, and is still far better then most home audio recievers, natively. I mean seriously what do ya want for 330.00 bucks. I think it's pretty darn good for the price point.

Another great review, thanks PF! I have 2 of these, one in my “vintage” system (Kenwood receiver and large Advent speakers) so I can stream when not playing vinyl on that system. The sound was good but not great until I added a DAC (SMSL SU-1) between the WiiM and the receiver. This really opened the sound up to the point where it rivals my main system (KEF, Denon, Audiolab, Cambridge). Fun times!

Thanks for the explanation of the op amp options Geshelli offers. I've watched other reviews about Geshelli products but didn't have a clue about what types would be best or how to change them. You are fabulous!!

I just found your channel and loved this review. My first Marantz was a 2215 as a teenager, although I added a 2220B during Covid which I recapped. They are fabulous vintage amps…definitely warm sounding…and some of the classiest kit you will find from any era. Keep up the good work!

I use a pair of SVS SB-16 Ultra, they were double boxed with thick foam inserts.

I have them and I like them.

Very nice intro. Except for the measurement sentiment, I truly support your approach. I found your channel through your Wiim Ultra review, and love that unbiased description of the sound. Most other reviews describe the sound as great, but often noting other, more expensive products to be better, but I was considering this for a compact system playing directly into active speakers, and then a separate DAC would destroy the simplicity of the system. I look forward to more of your honest and hopefully unbiased reviews.

Thanks for such a concise review, especially in regards to the soundstage. I have the Wiim Pro and have been trying to decide about adding an external dac, and you provided very helpful information. Just what I needed.

My experience with the Ultra is that the sound quality is seriously lacking in the midrange. I was streaming via WiFi using Amazon Music High Resolution which ordinarily produces excellent sound when connected via an older iPad using the Amazon Music app and the auxiliary cable for output to the RCA input on my vintage receiver. I would gladly sacrifice the convenience of using my phone for brilliant full clear sound.

Nice structure of the review still I would favorite a warmer sorroundings for the video. Avoiding this "interrogation room" decor :)

I just can't get over the aesthetics. It looks very cheaply built. From the 4 exposed screws securing the front and rear panels to the cheap aluminum pieces. Acrylic is very soft and will easily scratch too. Otherwise it appears to be a great performer at a very good price. I just do not like the case build quality at all. Obviously just my personal preference. I'd consider the wood, but that still uses the cheap looking acrylic front and rear. If they offered a front panel made of wood...

I've upgraded to the 2590 op amps on my xlr outputs. It's a solid piece of equipment and sounds absolutely outstanding!

I’ve got the J2S, going to get the J3 or dayzee soon. When I ordered my J2, I made a few adjustments with opamps and color. This company is great. They make you feel like you’re their most important customer. If every company on the planet did business like geshelli, life would be soooo much better. Also, great video. I love the top of the line Sparkos SS2590 op-amp - it has incredibly clean and neutral tonal balance, and wonderful dynamics. A "3D" soundstage with layering that is second to none, in my opinion. I have owned the Geshelli J2, J2S (with two different AKM chips) and now the Dayzee. Using an improved power supply (I have a linear power supply) and upgraded to the SS2590 op-amps - it is the best DAC I have heard.

Great Vid. Good Job! Just a quick question, before you connected an external DAC and noticed the sonic differences, did you allow the onboard ESS to "Burn-In" Did the sound of the stock ultra improve with hours of use or did you simply make your original observations and changeout to external?

After hearing sound comparisons of the RP-600m's and RP-600mIIs, I do like the high end better on the originals. The MKII's sound a bit more muffled on the high end. However, with the MKII's you also don't have the hole in the frequency response at 1.5k, which is a known flaw of the original's. I agree with the OP that the high end on the Klipsch (either model) does get fatiguing after a while. I had found that a better choice over these speakers for something similarly sized and priced, would be the KEF Q-350's. I absolutely LOVE these. They are amazing. They have far better sound stage and imaging over the Klipsch speakers. Also, the concentric drivers mean you will have a more usable listening space as moving around the speakers doesn't affect the imaging as much as with standard, separate woofers and tweeters.

I had J3 with 2590 op amps. I loved that thing. Now I'm waiting for my Dayzee with 2590 op amps. Geshelli are great people with great products. Very nice video.
