Just got those in black for 2020 GW Tour. A must have if your hands are large. The OEM are like toothpicks. Very easy to install, they look great on red/black bike and the heat from the grips is not compromised. It is worth it. You might need to readjust the brake lever inwards a bit with the dial. Also, the warmer the garage the better before installing and after for like 24 hrs at least. That adhesive tape does not like cold.
This was one of my first modifications to 2023 Goldwing, but yesterday I noticed the left grip has migrated left (outboard) about 0.25”. I guess I will have to remove, install now double-sided tape and reinstall. I’ve been using grip heat recently, so I’m thinking this is the cause of the grip migration. I’ve experienced no issues with the right grip.
I just put a set on with throttle wing. Super simple and fit perfectly. And usually projects like this turn into a shitshow for me. Good job Goldstrike !

By taking the damping weight off, you change the harmonics of the vibration of the handlebars. How do these grips address that? Is their weight similar to the bar end weight?
Hi there, thank you for reaching out! The Honda bar end weight and screw weighs .40lb. and the Goldstrike grip assembly weighs .40lb. so they are exactly the same!
Unless you upgraded the End Caps. These end caps are merely a finishing element. Obviously lighter than OEM. You know this just by having them both in your hand. But no negative affect because of it though. Just nit understanding the same weight validation.
Hi James, the grips are the same weight as the factory dampeners and have a similar effect in dampening vibration while still allowing the heat function to work properly.

I think that looks 100% better.... one thing that has always bugged me is how the grips look on a GW, too small and feeble looking, these are much much better and a simple install. One thing I think could improve them is a badge or something to pop in the end cap to cover the screw...looks sorta unfinished

Use a hair dryer or heat gun

I thought the dampners were weights for balance of some kind. does it feel any different ? What is the purpose of the dampners ?

If you contact Goldstrike they will sell you new adhesive strips so they can be reinstalled.
Now you need to make a video for the Throttle Wing install and demonstrate how it operates.

These grips DO fit 2012-2017 with factory heated grips ( I have 2012 and my friend has a 2016 and we both put these grips on our bikes)

The weights are exactly the same. .40lbs. Per Gold Strike’s product details.
Gold Strike website says these are the same weight as OEM. It’s obvious they don’t feel that way. I’d email them on that one.
