The left side horn bolt is a popular place for add ons. I have ordered the Ciro Goldstrike Tie Down brackets, which mount there also. I haven't installed them yet, but I am wondering if the bolt provided in your kit will be long enough and will the brackets provide enough clearance for all 3 items - horn, tie down and comfort bar to be installed at this same location? I will not use the comfort bar as a tie down connection point, as the P clamp is the weak spot and I would not trust it to hold the forces applied by my bike while trailering in my toy hauler.
You can use any pegs you like. Pegs are not included, so use Rivco pegs or Kuryakyn pegs or whatever you like best. We used Kuryakyn pegs because they were on an employee's GL1800 F6B, so we just "borrowed" them.
I bought these bars, Kuryakyn pegs and the brackets. The brackets came with two bolts, two washers and two split washers. The hardware is used to install one end of the bracket to the comfort bar. How do you install the other end of the bracket to the Kuryakyn pegs. The pegs do not come with hardware. Thank you so much.
I have an all black 2022 wing...do you offer black hardware? I'm think particularly about the stainless 3mmHex screw on right side...on on black bike with the black comfort bars...my OCD will drove me mad looking at this when I swing my leg over the bike. :)
The audio at the end says never reuse mounting hardware. It looks like all mounting fasteners get removed to access spark plugs for inspection or replacement. Nylock fasteners are never supposed to be reused (A good hardware will usually have them but I would never use stainless due to cold welding). Besides the Nylocks, does any of the bolts & p-clamps need replacement if loosened? The P-clamp mounts appear a little turkey but match the 2018 design very well.
The highway pegs that are show are a set of Kuryakyn pegs that are mounted to Foot Peg Mounting Brackets. We have not found a set of pegs that will directly into the Comfort Bars.
I noticed after removing that spotlight cover that there are crash bar protection underneath the cover itself....is that correct....new wing owner here..
The concern is that the smaller crash bars won't protect the plastic body parts, that cover the OEM bars. The comfort bars may offer more protection for the exposed body parts. (At least I hope so. I just got an '18 manual, and plan to install the bars tomorrow.)
Hey National Cycle, are the bars going to interfere with the installation of fog lights??? i like the extra crash bar and the looks of the bars. But it doesn't look like it's going in the future to remove the engine side cover to access the spark plugs.
The Comfort Bars will not interfere with installation of Honda accessory fog lights. Fog lights can be installed before, during, or after installation of our Comfort Bars. But the Comfort Bars will need to be removed to take off the side covers to access the spark plugs.
How long should it take a home mechanic to install these approximately? My dealer said they were going to charge me 2 hours shop time. Which seems really high.
Show Chrome makes a trim piece for the carsh bar opening if you l;ike the option of keeping the cover removed. Maybe you can come up with and include something similar to cover the ugly jagged edges made by the Dremel on the crash bar cover. www.bigbikeparts.com/templates/product.aspx?ProductGuid=52-932
Finally a way to mount foot pegs with some crash protection. Pluses and minuses for this and RIVCO.... Perfect for me with this system!
The Video helped a lot thanks.

Excellent video..
So what exactly is the reason for the P clamp? It's not ridge so I can't see what its purpose is.
Look for highway pegs to fit the Paladin comfort bars the ones that screw in to the bars themselves

Hello
Thanks for this supervideo..
Does it affect the ground clearance in corner? The wing in French mountains roads is delicate
Can i scratch the footpegs before i crash the comfort bars?
I prefer the RIVCO pegs but this is a different way. Choices are all good

Hello Glen, We don't stock any black hardware that would replace the bolt that are used in this kit.

I like them
What’s the name and part number for the highway pegs that screw into the Paladin comfort bars.

Thats a ripoff. They are just guessing how long it will take.
Can these bars be used as tie downs for trailering?
We don't recommend using these Comfort Bars as tie down points.
Where does the Driving pegs come from?
The pegs that are shown in the video and in our photos are from Kuryakyn. Our peg mounting brackets will accept foot peg clamps that use a 1/2" bolt.
I bought these but I did not install them. Got a lot of info from this.
Did you install these yet?
will the comforts bars fit a 2020 dct with a roadsmith trike kit with runnings boards
Can I get these in the UK please ?

Or you can take like a mini torch and melt the edge of the cut to make them smooth
Or file down the rough edges.
Honda is victor
Not very appealing, very old looking design.
