    Great video. Im considering same ones. The other major brands have offerings but i didnt like the bracket mounts or permanent cover removal. Im cant find a picture of what they look like flipped up in the stowaway position.

      The Rivco pegs? I like them, they are really good looking pegs. My only issue with them was having to take them off to change the spark plugs. Still great a great product but I decided to go with the Goldstrike instead. Thanks for watching!

    I agree about their written instructions. I’m sure I got all the bolts in the right place, but had washers left over. I used medium locktight on everything, so I should be okay. They do have a video for the highway peg installation that was very helpful, but even it could be a little more detailed.
    One note… it looks to me like you have your pegs canted forward. They should be canted toward the rider to better match the angle of your foot as you’re riding. The bracket they’re attached to is slanted and should slant toward you. I think all you need to do is swap the left bracket for the right. Not sure what they’re called for sure. I can’t put my hand on the instructions right now.

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I rotated the pegs towards me so it seems to be fine. I’m fairly certain the arms are in the correct position… I also used lecture after the fact. And the instructions are horrendous but I really like the feel of these pegs. Thanks for watching and for the info.

      @@BigSmittyRiding; I’ve installed several Goldstrike accessories. Most recently the rider highway pegs, passenger comfort pegs, passenger armrests, among others that I installed earlier in the year. I’ll have to wait until spring to adjust the pegs to where they feel best for those long rides. All the Goldstrike products seem well engineered and high quality. Everything I’ve installed so far has been pretty easy, in spite of their poor instructions. I have the same black grips as you, but they’ll have to wait until spring and warm temperatures as well, so the adhesives will cure properly. My bike is pretty well as I want it now, thanks to Goldstrike. Enjoy the ride, Smitty.

    • @BigSmittyRiding
      @BigSmittyRiding  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they are both extremely comfortable. But I have zero experience with the Rivco pegs. I actually think the Rivco pegs look better. My only reason for going with the Goldstrike was I didn’t like having to take the Rivco pegs off to change out the spark plugs. It was really that simple. I almost bought the Rivco instead.
      I think the Goldstrike pegs are more adjustable for rider comfort but the Rivco look better and are hidden much better.
      Sorry, probably didn’t help you… But I will tell you Goldstrike makes great products and I’m very happy with how they function. Hope that helps. And thank you very much for watching!

    • @whatsupeh1
      @whatsupeh1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sultan. I had the Rivco pegs on my F6b. Nice pegs for that bike with a pretty stealth installation. The installation on the ‘18+ wings looks a little clunky. I just installed a set of the Goldstrike pegs on my 2021 tour. Pretty easy to install and they look great even when flipped up. It’s winter here now, so I won’t get to try them until spring. They say 3 way adjustable, but there are so many variations in the adjustments that if you can’t find one that suits you, then the pegs are not the problem. The Rivco pegs are only adjustable, forward and back. That’s it. So if I were you, I’d go Goldstrike.

    It looks like you mounted the peg to the peg mount wrong. At 7:09 the peg is angled forward. This is because you didn't mount the peg mount angling back which it tells you to do in step 9 of instructions. Just turn it around
