And they did it again with Elden Ring.
I think it is the localisation and translation team that deserves a lot of the credit, but I'm not sure exactly how it works...
@@senecauk8363 it's not localisation, even though fromsoft is a Japanese company. The main language of their games is english
@@Dymrios ah, okay. But surely Fromsoft doesnt have lots of Welsh speakers? I assume this stuff is done by people overseas even if they see part of the core team?

Margot and Marjit and Godrick VA are just astounding. Wish they had greater part to play.
I wonder about Mr. Vanderpuye, getting called in to continue Patches' lines. He sounds like he enjoys it and probably has some kind of awareness of how popular the games plus his character are, but does he know about the continuity (or lack thereof) in the games?
There is one another: Gowry’s voice actor, Stephen boxer, who also voiced slave knight Gael. Imagine he says” Hand it over, that thing, your Elden Ring.”

All the voices are amazing
I love the subtle consistency in the welsh accents for everyone from liurnia Sellen, Ranni, Thops, Blaidd etc
FromSoft has always had flawless voice actors who perfectly fit their characters. Patches, Roderika, Melina, Margit, there's just so many fantastic and memorable voices and not once am I pulled out of the game by the voice work. The writers definitely deserve credit for it as well. FromSoft's games probably have less than half the talking of most games but almost every line is memorable or has some purpose.
I don't particularly like Godfrey but his voice takes me in everytime. It sounds so damn majestic and noble i love it.
Also ranni's voice is also wonderful fitting so well.
How come you don't like Godfrey he's badass godrick is the weirdo

@@TheBlackAztec3 it would have been cooler. But the fact that it's not, that it's more "human" really sets in the fact that he's a normal human, with no relations to any gods or greater power. He's a tarnished, just like you and me.
God tier voice acting I especially love Ranni’s. The sting you feel every time she hits a “T” is awesome

As a welshman, Its really nice how alot of the cast are Welsh.
You will love xenoblade 2 Torigoth then😂
I knew it! Kale and Cypher ( Valorant) is voiced by the same guy. His 'greetings' has a distinct R sound and strong NG accent in the end. He's my favorite NPC, especially since he's the first merchant to accommodate you.
I went back and listened to Yorshka's dialogue since it's the same voice actor as Melina and you can really hear the similarity.
I hope Rykard gets more time in DLC. Such a cool character and Voice actor.
And his theme, too, one of the coolest and most thematically terrifying.
Interestingly, if you go back to the Rykard boss arena, you'd find that he is still alive and waiting to be regenerated

TOGETHAAA! I loved Elden Ring voices, thanks for making this game so magical.
I absolutely love roderika's voice
For every game, FromSoft manages to recruit absolute top level talent in terms of voice acting. Absolutely incredible performances.
Do you remember the Sir Vilhelm voicelines? They are absolutely insane❤
I believe Shaun Dooley also did the voice acting for Yura, one of the best voices in the game tbh, showing the fire giant doesn't do him justice.
I was thinking the same, like its a clip of him yelling twice thats bot gonna do him Justice
I knew Yura had a familiar voice, I only knew Dooley from tv shows and stuff so I was surprised lol

Melina's voice did something to me.

3:51 Funny to me how they seemingly cast someone just for anguished howls and pitch-adjusted them. Pip Torrens was doing double duty in Radahn's case, so maybe Shaun Dooley will voice someone in potential DLC?
Dooley also voiced Yura.
As a South Wales resident, I love the number of Welsh actors here. I watched the lass who plays Ranni on a TV show after starting Elden Ring and only after checking IMDB did I realise she was in the game! And some of these actors are well respected TV and film folk in their own right. Hilarious to see Shaun Dooley playing the Fire Giant! Con O Neill was in DS2 and appears in more and more British TV shows (and in The Batman!)
By ordah of the Peaky Blinders
Shaun Dooley also plays Yura
Yeah, most of the Souls series actors are off the telly rather than being voice actors by trade. They're probably all with the same agency, which is why the same names pop up in most of the games (and they've almost all been in either Casualty, The Bill, or both.)
Con O Neil is also in Our Flag Means Death and he is great in it!
@@AshenVictor yeah it is interesting - look at the last 3 modern Resi games, and the same set of names comes up there (not the same as Souls, but a group that appear consistently across RE)
