So I am a big fan of Petra, and I believe she is the best romance option in the game, and in this video I explain why, and why she is the better option over Randvi in particular.

I loved Randvi the moment I first saw her. Maybe because she reminded me of Kassandra (the braid😏) when she confessed her feelings to Eivor I just couldn't say no.
I hated her precisely for that same reason, there's only one Kassie

If Ubisoft had spent time developing Petra as a character instead of just two missions and then suddenly turning into a robotic NPC, I'd love her more. My problem with Petra is that, only, really. Like you, I saw randvi as an ally and I didn't want to betray Sigurd.. come on, that's the shittiest thing you can do as a brother/sister. But yeah. Maybe if Petra had a more extensive role, it'd be fun. Kind of like the Dragon Age/Mass Effect romances, if that makes sense? In the end this is a RPG. It's all about story, and Petra's ends too soon without a climax.

This made me laugh XD. Was confused between Randvi and Petra. But your words of wisdom helped me choose Petra.
I thought the line Randvi said about caring for and loving Sigurd - but had always, secretly yearned romantically for Eivor without ever acting on it -- out of respect for Siggurd -- was kind of a hook for me, because there's alot of depth and vulnerability in that, and how she had felt for a long time yet repressed those feelings within herself ❤. It's pretty romantic 😊.
Even though playing musical chairs with wives is how they do it in the show, throughout the series lolol - especially the sons. I still feel weird about choosing to Romance "my" brother's ex 😬 even though it's just a game... So I'm gonna stick with sweet Petra... Can always do a second playthrough anyway.

My favorite romance is actually Vili’s. They had such a nice chemistry and a past. I play as male Eivor though because I find the voice acting FAR better.
The voice acting for him is incredible

I feel like a lot of NPCs could've been done better, especially the romance options. The game makes you feel like if you don't choose Randvi then you're just picking a side piece. 💀
Fully agree with you. I went for Randvi initially, as I thought it was brave of her to put herself in a vulnerable position by admitting it, but I immediately regretted it, as I remembered Valka saying that I would betray Sigurd, and always felt like Eivor's bond with him was stronger than any feelings she may have had for Randvi. I'm not far enough into the game yet to know if the betrayal of Sigurd is inevitable, but I was playing with the assumption that I could avoid it, if I chose my options carefully.
Plus, the setup felt a little too forced - like it was only an option because Eivor and Randvi are two main characters. Plus there's no prior implication of any romantic feelings between them.
Eivor and Petra feels natural. She's not not main character like Randvi, but we have a side mission with her, so spend time getting close to her, so her confessing her feelings for Eivor feels more natural and less "these are two main characters, so let's put them in a relationship".
I even restarted the game, despite having clocked over 40 hours playtime, because I was really regretting the decision to date Randvi instead of Petra.
That is some commitment restarting the game, but you are making the right choice 🙂

Petra is wasted, no dialogue during Gunnar’s wedding, no dialogue when you return injured, hell why didn’t we get a wedding first seeing as you romance Petra as soon as you get to England, why can’t you tell Randvi you’re in a relationship, nobody says anything about your relationship and by rights she should take your side as the jarl’s wife
Yeah to be fair you are spot on, I loved Petra but considering how long the game was she should have been more involved with the story if you chose to romance with her
That annoyed me so much! The fact that you couldn’t talk to Petra at Gunnar’s wedding. She just walks past you. I love Petra but they really missed the mark on her interactions.
I got with Randvi as soon as possible as male Eivor lol, I still got the good ending though where Sigurd stays in Ravensthorpe.

As long as you got 3/5 of the choices that Sigurd agrred with then you would get the "good ending"

You do know you can have both of them no need to choose between them.
I chose randvi over many things. Petra walked away when eivor fell on hard time randvi was there the whole time even when eivor fell on hard times yet always made sure you deserved more. Petra it was more just hanging out and that’s it’s. I didn’t betray Sigurd as I waited till they split yet Sigurd and Randvi was forced marriage for clan peace so in all it’s understandable to love someone else just don’t do it when they are together.

I've been playing male Eivor. Recently got the game. Tbh I didn't know there was romance options in the game. Until I came across Petra on accident. That was one of my favorite Assassin's Creed quest. It reminded me of the Night To Remember also Mind Of Madness quests in Skyrim, both really good quest.
In my game after the good ending as Evior, she can date both at the same time. Neither seems to mind a bit.
I can't stand the idea of Sigard coming home to losing his wife & possibly his seat as jarl to His own brother but I'm leaning more towards Randvi I did turned her down at the tower but when i chose Eivor game decisions to back up the son of the jarl of jorvik to be new jarl which denied him of roaming freely because he has a duty to his people it let me see how much Sigard had neglected his position & chose to roam freely leaving ravensthorpe to Eivor & Randvi to run & his union to Randvi was to unite the tribes so if she leaves Sigard that possibly can't be good either was it not Eivor who built these alliances I know it's terrible I'm still in the game maybe the seer can slap some sense into me So will see lol

The betrayal doesnt really matter since u can still keep sigurd and get the same happy ending if u didnt betray him but ya petras better
I don't agree with you because right at the beginning of the game when Randvi and Eivor meet for the first time, the chemistry of the two is already clear. I stayed with her forever.
Yeah I can see why people did, but it felt like the game was forcing it a bit too much for my liking

Plus, once the romance is in place, you can still hang out with Petra (dice, archery, etc), but with Randvi...she's just a bootie call, nothing more. It's too bad. All that effort for her to be nothing special.

Yea, with Randvi I feel like I’m always cheating on him with his Wife, when I first saw her at the start of the game I knew she was a romance option even when she was announced as Sigurd’s Wife
Wasn't Randvi and Sigurd marriage to keep peace with raven clan and Randvi's father clan. I remember that early parts of the game. And Randvi even says they marriage isn't real and she doesn't love him and vice versa. Say if I'm wrong
Technically, you can have both. Just romance Petra first, then Randvi after or before during the wedding ceremony. It makes Eivor a whore, but it’s the same way in Odyssey with Alexios or Kassandra sleeping with everyone left and right lol. Ciara would have been a cool romance option relationship wise in Wrath of the Druids.

I literally found out about randvi, her secret message..she said was she did not have deep feelings for sigurd like, she secretly have a feelings for eivor, I'm trying to figure it out, petra is sorta of wasted option for me, I literally realized that randvi really likes eivor that much, so I'm trying to search how to unlock the good ending that sigurd could be happy for them I was like howwwww 😭

Personally, I felt that at the moment it was right for Eivor to give in to her feelings and that there is enough of a built-up to see their romance come to fruition, but I felt more comfortable with Petra, because her relationship with Eivor has not the same problematic nature of the potentially romantic one with Randvi(the infidelity that is and that it feels more like seduction than anything). I would never in real life date Randvi, if I were in Eivor's shoes and would rather go with Petra than anyone.
Also, I love Petra, she is funny, positive and very protective of her little brother, which I appreciate. Oh and you referenced Petra from Fire Emblem Three Houses!?
That is the first AC Valhalla video linking these two games, which I love, because I feel like that there are some story similarities with the two, with the useage of Norse and Celtic mythology and mainly with the many Sages(Eivor, Sigurd and Basim e.t.c) in the game and Byleth being reincarnations of ancient precursors. With the coming of Three Hopes, the similarities become all the clearer with Shez's little secret.

Randvi reminds me of Kassandra, so she was sure option, plus I kinda hated Sigurd character the moment he showed up, so there was no hesitation to betray him on my part.

You can get both: romance Randvi then when you get the option with Petra dump Randvi get with Petra after the wedding at the end of the campaign you can state your love for Randvi again (even tho she said she would not go back if you broke her heart) and after the wedding you can kiss and hop into bed with both at any given time
You can also get with Petra first and then get with randvi

The correct option is choosing Petra early, break up before returning to Norway then hook up with Randvi after she ends her marriage.

Not to state the obvious or anything, but like what kind of monster sleeps with their brothers wife? Eivor loves their brother and is terrified by the prophecy that he will betray him, it doesn't make any sense that they would fuck their wife, even if Randvi is unhappy with their marriage

A story of a Sibling trying to defy a destiny that will lead to them betraying the relationship that matters most to them. It just seems really bizzare that the opportunity to sleep with that same person's spouse would appear so abruptly, and it makes even less sense in the context of the story that the character would take that opportunity.
