Bro, the way Kassandra fights reminds me of the Achilles fight scenes in Troy. The swift dodges, confident look, and the fighting with a hand behind the back. Nice touch by the game creators

yeah, thanks to her spear she lived 2400 years. She eventually died in october 2018, after letting go of her spear. She is one of my favorite AC charaters.

@@ang77l tldr kassandra is the canon pc from odyssey and odyssey is the first game in the timeline. Kassandra due to having two half isu parents is 3/4 isu and has an artifact that basically makes her immortal as long as its in her possession. Said artifact is why her father is Pythagoras while her mother is leoniadas daughter.
Shes basically a litteral demi god and her abilities border on magic due to it.
Kassandras child with a Persian was the starting child of assassin bloodline. Her childs grand father made her the second hidden blade

1:40 you can tell Kassandra has more experience and battle strategy. She's sharpening the broken stick from the axe to act as her short spear like in Odyssey.

The Greeks were more disciplined and skilled in a fight compare to Vikings. Vikings, while also being good fighters, mostly rely on strength and ferocity.

Fighting a spartan with centuries of experience is like trying to fight the nature itself, impossible.
Later in the quest she literally says that this was one of the most exhausting fights she has fought in a long time

When the protagonist from the previous game takes over the new one...if only for a moment. lol. Kassandra (whether good or bad) is probably one of the most badass characters in the series.
I love how they also use some of their abilities in the fighting . Eivor with his axe throwing and rope dart . And kassandra with her heroic leap thing and shieldbreaker ability . ( yes i butchered the names of the abilities its been a minute i dont remember their true names)

You’ve got to admire Eivors abilities to use different weapons and using the shield as a weapon shows it
Seeing Kassandra makes me realize how much I missed playing as her.
A hidden detail I’ve just noticed about Kassandra during the fight is if you watch her, she actually goes through 4 distinct fighting styles referencing different future protagonists.
She starts off in her usual Spartan fighting style, heavy weapons, force and momentum, then draws the sword and switches to an Ezio’esque fluid, balanced & precise style. Then goes through Edward and Connor with a dual swords bucaneer style and native hunter techniques, and finishes with a Viking strong style similar to Eivor.
Eivor adapts, but Kassandra shows her 1000+ yr combat experience at this point by effortlessly changing styles and approach depending on her arsenal.
better compare this scene with the battle of Achilles with Hector at the walls of Troy
At first I was annoyed that Kassandra was winning. Then I realized how old she was (I never finished Odyssey).I didn't know about the Staff of Hermes and honestly thought this was just a random crossover without real story context but it's neat to see it actually fit in.

@@komogrey She did. Eivor charged right in from the very start, yet she was only pulling punches for most of the fight, gradually getting more serious only when it dawned on her that Eivor was good. Even then, she was far from going all out & in the end, she was only trying to get him to talk. Eivor on the other end, had been trying his best to kill, or at least maim, her right from the start, & he NEVER got the better of her, despite his best efforts.

Greek vs. Norse This was a good fight. Always wanted to see that clash between the two. I’m a big fan of Greek but that don’t mean I didn’t want my boy Eivor to win.
All I have to say is I love Kassandra and Odyssey so this was PHENOMENAL. I love the story of Kassandra and the Isu, and the way she practically danced around him was beautiful.

You know, if Ubisoft are smart, they could easily insert Kassandra in any other future AC installment because Kassandra lived until 2018, maybe as a quick cameo (ala Stan Lee) or even as a pseudo plot device... i've spent hundreds of hours on Odyssey and i love Kassandra almost as much as i love Ezio (which is saying a lot because Ezio has three games to build up his rep)

Kssandra’s fighting style has improved greatly, she honed her skills and it shows, she’s no longer rash and head on.

It'd be cool if the game read your save file to see if you played Odyssey as Alexios or Kassandra, and Eivor had to fight whoever you played as.

Thing is that Kassandra is the canon main character.
The canon is that kassandra was the eagle bearer and alexios was deimos. Odyssey just lets you play as any of them for the player to be confortable with the character he is using.
In valhalla the same happens. You can play as a girl but the canon protagonist is the male eivor

I played Odyssey as both (only the first ours tho, games to long to play it 2 times) and i liked more kassandra, so she was my chosen character to fully comolete the game

First time playing through valhalla and was so geeked when i saw her. Very underrated character. One of my top 3 if not favorite protagonists.
For anyone wondering what the music is for the fight. The song it "horni hljomar- when horns resound" by einar selvik. I want to share because ac Valhallas soundtrack is arguably the best game soundtrack of all time and not enough people talk about it
I knew this could not happen because Kassandra's timeline is far behind Eivor's but then I remember the Staff of Hermes that Kassandra gave to Layla back in Odyssey. Yep, definitely possible
She was immortal. She lived for over 2000 years before she finally died. So yes. This was 100% possible.
Im more mad that Alexios wasn't canon. Brother (nearly) was Ares and Hades with Leonidas sprinkled in. Same can be said for Kassandra but i fell like Alexios was the better one and canon (since from what i gathered only men could participate in the Olympics and women were only allowed to watch so they can marry one of the men, and the voice acting for Alexios was done better in my opinion.)

The Spartan warrior was selected from birth, he was separated from his family at 4yr old and was trained FIERCELY in the art of fighting. He had to steel food to eat and if he got caught he was beated for clumsy. He had to assasinate slaves without getting caught, they were also teetomer until 40.
The only advantage that the viking has is that he is taller and his weapons are better crafted since Spartans used bronze weapons
Individually the common Spartan would rape the common Viking. Army vs army It wouldn't even be a battle.

I played this section on 23rd December then 2 days later got Odyssey for Christmas.
So I played it backwards but imo that was a cooler way of doing it. Cos I saw Kassandra for the first time in Valhalla so to me Odyssey felt like a really long prequel/ flashback explaining how Kassandra got to where she was lol

for those wondering why this meeting can't be Alexios at all...
1. Canon lore: (Good reason)
The AC Odyssey book says Kassandra is canon.
Ubi themselves said she's canon.
2. Randvi's hair: (Serious joke reason)
To everyone who played AC Odyssey, the first time you see Randvi, doesn't her hair look just like Kassandra's hair, just with a different color?
exactly, their hair are recycled assets. Throughout the story arc, the ones having nightmares said the one causing it had a braid, and Valka even said she looks like Randvi.
This wont work with Alexios unless if he fashioned some viking hair braids that look like Randvi's/Kassandra's at some point.
if they had to accommodate the possibility of the eagle bearer being Alexios showing up in this scene, they have to make a totally different script.
I really like the idea that Randvi has some sort of descent from Kassandra. Though I was not the biggest fan of the Legacy DLC (for various characterization reasons) I did like what it set up for the franchise. We know Kassandra has descendants, so why can’t Randvi be one of them? (I also mostly ship Randvi and Eivor together because I’d love to see Eivor and Kassandra together, so maybe that’s why I like the idea lol)

Perhaps that blade will be a new weapon in the free DLC

I admit that this encounter gave me real emotions. I missed Kassandra so much and seeing her with Eivor (female) made me love both even more. It would've be really weird and yet amazing a love story between them.

See now I feel like this trilogy has come full circle with arrival of Kassandra/Alexios. I suppose if you keep your saved content on AC Odyssey available when you start playing AC Valhalla, the game will just naturally pick up on which character you chose and pick up their story. Nice job Ubisoft. I had my doubts at first about how well this trilogy would work out as a cohesive story, but now that I’ve seen this, I can sleep soundly at night knowing Ubisoft did something right for once.

@@Excalis3344 Basically it was supposed to be Kassandra's official sword in Odyssey, however Ubisoft removed it from the game and after fans complained they put it back.
@@enenrax it was never removed, it was the reward for a hidden ending in one of the lost tales of Greece quest in which you search for the daughter of barnabas. You get that sword by burning her farm and thus getting the secret ending. But after an update, ubi made the sword available to anyone who completed the main ending of that storyline

Kassandra is canon unfortunately. This is the problem with having genderbends or two separate playable characters. It will be hard to decide who’s canon who isn’t.

'Im not a Hidden One, but I have friends that are' about sums what the series is now lol. I aint even hateing, cause the idea of being an asset/proxy to the templars and assassins actually sounds pretty neat.
I would love for these types of games to be an offshoot of assassin's creed where you play as someone allied with but not part of either order. Kinda like how watch dogs is an offshoot. But ubisoft doesn't want to make sense
I’m surprised that I looted the Spear of Leonidas when I went exploring around the island first, before doing the mission, and Kassandra wasn’t surprised about me wielding her Spear back in Odyssey lol. I miss her and AC OD!

I have collected the most similar armor to Cassandra, the breastplate of the hero of Sparta, the belt of the immortal, Persian greaves and the bracers of a mercenary
in general, it turned out well, but the wrong color and the bib are slightly different, the colors turned out to be red, red and gold, silver greaves, they are most similar to those worn by Cassandra in this cut-

I think that without plot armor eivor would definitely win since he is an expert in attacking and does have a pretty good defense
