The first shot in this video looks great. I use FSLTL. I'm tired of all the housekeeping for mods to put traffic into the simulators. This is by far the easiest one I've seen.
Whilst AIG gave nice results, the complexity of the installation and the need to spend hours downloading each airline separately meant that as soon as FSLTL came along I tried it and wow the ease of use via the FBW installer is a game changer. For a free product FSLTL is a stunning addition to MSFS. I remain to be convinced if Just flights soon to be released payware AI traffic will be significantly better to justify its cost.
Great video! Certainly find FSLTL much better than Simple Traffic. Though I wonder what Just Flights FS traffic will be like in comparison. FYI - nice to see NZQN in the vid... you should fly the Fenix into there 😉
Hi Gavin, thanks for the info in the video, can I just make a comment the background music is really annoying as a person with hearing difficulties the music mixing with your voice makes it difficult to hear everything you are saying clearly and although not a complaint by any means just a suggestion for us older folks with hearing difficulties. Keep up the good work really enjoy the content you create 😀
I was playing the sim and just happened to see a large contrail out the window. Looked at FR24 and it was a Kalitta 747. Fired up the F-15 from Lakenheath and took off to intercept what looked like the most likely contrail and it was indeed the 747!
I agree that so far it is the best, I am using it and love it. I wish they could adjust the take-off and landings of the traffic. Also, another ai traffic mod is coming from JustFlight. The question is which one will be the best?? We shall see.
I am using FSLTL with FSHUD ATC too its great. I still have AIG installed but not used it recently. I had the AIG setup mainly for Vatsim but I may change that now

I love this mod, however I’m looking for the immersion of being in sequence holding short of the runway with 3-6 aircraft. Every time I taxi out, the taxiways are empty, even though FR24 says there’s 5 or 6 planes in sequence.
FSLTL is a no-brainer as you say. I've used it since the first release and wouldn't entertain the other competitors out there. AIG nearly nailed it, but unfortunately made the installation far too cumbersome. I don't doubt Simple Traffic is just that, but you can't go wrong with a freeby, especially when it works so well. The frame rate hit is very minor, even at the busiest airports. Would love to see some more exotic models in there too, beyond the standard airliners. But it's an amazing piece of work so far and I'll be sticking with it. It's a big thumbs-up from me.
Is it necessary to add the vmr file for vpilot after every update or is that a one off task and the file will be automatically overwritten with future updates?

The JustFlight product was released yesterday but, given the high price tag and lack of 757 / 767 support out of the gate, I'll be keeping an eye on it at this point but not purchasing it until it has more of a track record. Other youtubers were showing it yesterday and they seemed to be confused by how it operates, while others had no issues at all, so that's just another data point that I will consider as I watch it mature a bit before deciding.

I use RealTraffic & PSXT to inject live traffic. Ground traffic is accurate to within a few meters. FSLT seems to have better model matching, but the fact that it turns over control of ground traffic to the sim is a show-stopper for me. My use-case may not be common, however, in that I like to tune into live ATC and synchronize with the traffic that is injected.
I use PSXT as well Joel. I like FSLTL but it lacks the accuracy for ground movements especially here in Canada where deicing pads are used regularly over the course of our winters. So while using PSXT I can see aircraft using the deicing pads whereas FSLTL doesn't mimic that activity.
How's this for realistic? There are literally NO flights in or out of EDDB today 25/1 due to strikes. I just departed. Hardly any parked aircraft and NO aircraft arriving or landing or even moving around the airport. It doesn't get more real than this. I have Injector linked up to FR24.
The only reason I'd consider other LT addons would be if their traffics takeoff from the right Runway. (I know it is a MSFS thing but still believe there should be a way).
So I recently downloaded and installed FSTL, but for some reason when I open the sim, the FSLTL tool bar isn’t found, and when I generate the injector it’ll say it’s loading in 20 IFR planes, and however many ground aircraft. But will stop there

I think the latest fs2020 update has reduced the frame rate hit, but it's still worse than the new payware FS Traffic. It used to literally halve my framerate with its default settings on the ground at KLAX on a 13900K with 4090!
FSTL is Great for a free product ! Do they fix the AI planes take off cinematic ( In mine take off are done in the middle of the runway and they hold before runway 😅)
Unfortunately I get frequent CTDs using FSLTL and don’t when using Simple Traffic... so I’m looking forward to Just Flight’s FS Traffic. Not knocking FSLTL though: it is free and looks as good as you need, for those unaffected by the CTDs, but I have tweaked everything in sight and can’t solve the issue. I might try this update though... just in case...

After watching a number of videos, I'm still a bit confused. I fly GA aircraft, seldom into one of these big airports, mostly into small and/or regional airports. Would this be valuable to use? All of the videos just show aircraft at the airports, but refer to in-flight flights. It is showing the actual aircraft in flight in real-time? Sorry for the dumb questions.
I have the same question. I would have thought that using the ADS-B, picked up with FR24, you would see planes actually flying. However, I guess you are right. Looks like just parked planes at the airport. Very boring.

Is it any way of seeing the AI injected flights info in game? I turned on nameplates but it didn't show. Aig had a nice overview map of the surrounding traffic in their traffic controller.
The only problem is with fsltl,airplanes low flying on airport every direction, and the other is airlines like spirit(nks)jetblue (jbu) flying cesna or private jets
just a quick question, atc is telling me very often on final that i have to go around. is this issue initated by msfs or by fsltl and how could i prevent this?
Is it possible to replace MSFS generic aircraft with the FSLTL base aircraft when in AI offline traffic, i.e. not using the injector? I have the FSLTL base models in my Community folder, but I seem to see a mix of FSLTL and MSFS generic airplanes at airport gates. What are the correct Traffic (and Data?) settings to do this?
My biggest annoyance is still with very old crap FS2020 ATC and assigning wrong departure/arrival runways to what is on flight radar 24. If an independent developer can build a tool which users flight radar 24.why can't Asobo do it.. 🙄
I mean, come on... JUST FLIGHT's FS TRAFFIC will have to correct default AI BEHAVIOR otherwise world will stick with FSLTL. It's the only way that will be worth spending money on it.

U should do like me :) use PSXT and (in parameter.xml) add liveries of FSLTL. U are not obliged to use AIG.

I use Simple Traffic because it is just a set and forget. I'm not as concerned about matching real traffic.

FSLTL is great, but for me a framerate killer. Therefor im using the simple traffic addon. Its simple and it works without killing framerate.

FS traffic by JustFlight seems to be framerate friendly. It’s supposed to be released this month.

For full immersion I use the AIG models, RealTraffic and PSXT. I find it's also easier on the frames than FSLTL
I also strictly use Real Traffic and PSXT. But I use both the AIG & FSLTL Aircrafts

Ensure you've no other traffic mods. Could be a conflict in community folder.

My FSLTL quit working since MSFS update 14; cannot figure out why.
Fstl seems very awesome. I have fs2020, but it ruined the performance of my last computer.
All I get on vatsim is failed to create aircraft, the model may be corrupted or missing? Any help would be appreciated

the problem will probably be that the AI traffic will not appear in the ATC. In my opinion, this is a constant problem with Live Traffic-

This is sadly a default ATC limitation.

It can take upto 15ins for an aircraft to land. You can see what traffic is being injected by checking the traffic manager window.

There is an option in the settings to disable generic (default) traffic

All my aircraft liveries are just painted white. What gives?
FSLTL crushes my frame rate using a 4080 with frame generation turend ON. Weird. It's much worse than on my older 3080. Even more weird.
Bc your GPU has nothing to do with it. It’s all your CPU
@@danielm8393 assuming he didnt downgrade cpu, how should that matter? Cpu intensive or not, going from 3080 to 4080 should not be a net negative.
