This game is just perfection, every aspect of this game is polished to the limit, gameplay, music, graphic maybe not the best but still look great for its time. The ideal example how developers should make game for true fans of the license.

Agreed. The boss theme for Mysterio reminds me of a mix between the Spider-Man Animated Series and Nu Metal.

It was indeed a unique boss fight but I wish it would be more creative. I mean the only solution of beating Mysterio is your impact web and no other attack works on him. Also it's kinda unusual for a master illusionist to put his weak spots at front of his enemy in a very obvious way. In my opinion Mysterio battle should have some free styled way of fighting just like in Rhino battle were you can hurt him either by letting him ram into electrical poles, throw drums at him or just engage in a hand-to-hand fight.
Well think that the Spider-sense allows Spidey to "see" thinks that normal people can't. For that reason the weak points of Mysterio are exposed to the hero.

I always saw Mysterio as sort of the "Scarecrow" of the Spider-Man universe. Not the most powerful villain, but he messes with your head and it's trippy.
The Mysterio battle was awesome, but am I the only one that wished for a battle with Imposter Spidey right before Mysterio? What they coulda did was had you fight the Imposter first (as a separate level) in the Bugle's basement, and after you defeated him, he'd attempt to escape, and you corner him in the Mysterio battle room. Afterwards, the Imposter reveals himself (as Mysterio) and that battle starts. Like if you agree.
If this Spidey game ever gets a good remake (Which it should), that would be a very welcomed addition for this boss fight.
Hell We should at least get to try an fight monster Ock before the final chase.

I agree with this idea in my childhood the level right before Mysterio's fight you can see him as the imposter I've always tried catching up with him by swinging thinking a boss fight would've happened and to my disappointment I had arrived only to see the imposter vanish into thin air
(I didn't know anything at that time though so don't blame me)

Defiantly one of the best boss fights in this game. I'm not gonna lie I remember fucking loving the heck out of this game as a kid, the soundtrack as well was wild.... Yeaaah this tune is still a guilty pleasure haha that I haven't hear in seven years but fuck it. Glad it's back.
I got used to play this with a ps1 simulator but I got tired of playing it over and over again. That's why I just ended up here to get the courage to play it once again lol

Mysterio is probalyone of most underrated villains outside the charmeleon. He has short amount of apperences in the tv series but he do has a big role in the comics and the game series
Mysterio scared the fuck out of me in this game...not gonna lie like this game was all friendly until after Venom then shit got really dark and scary a bit. anyone agree?
Yeah that’s how I felt it definitely started to get rough for Spidey ever since Venom showed up. Mysterio is awesome in this game and the movie.
I felt uncomfortable during the sewer levels, but the symbiotes and Mysterio were cool

this was my favorite part in this game battling him he was to easy. and I love the hell out of this theme.
My favorite song in the game
1st round was just warm, then the 2nd round is where everything gets serious with electrical floors, Lazer zappings and those electrical floor tracker types. This boss fight was a lot better than Monster Ock chase.
So Spiderman for the 64 and PS both had that groovy music to just wtf groovy music I love that

This boss level used to tie me up or get me stuck because I played it in the hard mode and it was nearly impossible to go up to the next floors. He always stepped hard that made me fall so many times back then and with only saying I was just a little kid (I was 7 years old) it got exhausted and frustrated and gave me courage to throw my ps1 out of my own window...
Remember when all of marvel was together, remember when spiderman had no extra tech , remember when all of his villains werent working for hydra? Ah the good times

Mysterio is a supervillian that treats all the crimes he commits as a stage performance, after stealing money from a bank Mysterio appears like a magician to hear the round of applause from the audience after robbing the bank, than he disappears in a cloud of smoke. Techno boss theme fits in with Mysterio's character he puts on a special effects show while he stomps Spiderman flat.

Man, i'll never forget this soundtrack. Loved playing this on the ps1 from 1998-2004. Will greatly miss this fun old classic action game and it's music/soundtracks. But we have to move on.
