Great video bro! I totally agree with the assessment that there are a few "profiles" that most players represent, excellent explanation :)
You also mentioned looking at the style (movement, guns/vs abilities etc) of a player and using that to your advantage. This is a great way to think about it. As a sort of concrete example of this, I use this to position my sniper crosshair. If I see someone spamming slide, I'll position it lower than if I see someone constantly spamming jump, or just walking at head level 24/7.

    • @AscendantNomad

I have watched your videos about game sense over and over again, they are so awesome. Each week I focus on improving a different aspect of my game, and I often return to your guides. I always learn something new, even after the 10th time. A point that I overlooked a while ago makes much more sense at a different part of my journey to improve.
A few days ago I was playing comp, and during some round, I managed to predict exactly what my opponents are going to do and I shut their entire play down, winning us the round. That was the first time I felt like this, and it was a great feeling! Gave me a lot of confidence, and I have learned that way of thinking from your game sense videos. Thanks for making them!
BTW dead game stasis ruined it lul :D (Not really though, but I would love to see a video on scrub mentality, a bunch of people need to take a look in the mirror :D )

I love running double primaries . . . At least when i can't run Chaperone, and one of the hardest lessons to learn was to remember that if I'm holding an angle that is within Felwinter's range, and I see someone on the radar, that I'm out of position. Once I was able to drill that into my head, I have been able to win more 1v1 CQ" engagements than I lose.

Love your videos! They’ve helped a lot. I know one thing I need to work on is tilt, as well as not getting ahead of myself during a gun fight. There’s been times I’ve turned the corner to 3 guardians lol or just wasn’t as aware as I should’ve been.
My gun game has improved though. I figured the best way is just to play my way. I’m great with Spectral Blades so until I’m fully comfortable with Stasis, I stick with it for PvP.
All an all you’re a great teacher and greatly appreciated for this console player.

I'd like that video on Self-awareness. I would say I'm decent, top-fragging in pretty much every playlist, but the moment I touch something like Elim or Competitive, even if I top-frag like normal, I just lose.
I like these playlists, and I like to play them, but it feels like I'm JUST at the edge of being able to 1v3. 1v2's are still a bit of a struggle, but they're manageable.
That, and a video on Discipline. I play with pulses a lot of the time, and I feel like I ALWAYS take fights I have no business winning, and I seem to struggle with breaking that habit. The way I see D2 PvP is whether or not I can out-discipline the enemy team, and it feels like that makes my play very reactionary, and not at all proactive.
I feel like just a simple shift to moving with my team would help a lot of the time, but I feel like they're worthwhile things to talk about.

I watched a The Science video from The Game Theorists that is titled "The Science of Esports". It isn't about esports specifically but about building muscle memory through practice. Not just memory in the joints on your hands, arms, legs, etc. This also leads into building muscle memory in your brain. It's theorized that it takes roughly 10,000 hours in a field to master a skill. This means that you have memorized every possible combination by experiencing it and can compare incoming information to previous knowledge. This will significantly reduce the amount of time that you spend thinking (for the human brain that's an average of 250ms). Professionals in any field, like gaming, can bring that time down by almost half because they spend less time thinking about how to respond. As for the response of our muscles that are the cause of movement, they can be worked on as well. The body is made to adapt. Look at runners on the Olympic level. Distance runners generally have a lean build and rely on slow-twitch muscles for training. Sprinters have a more heavier build for the explosive power that they need. This power relies on fast-twitch muscles. The body will adapt to how you want it to. You just need to train it

Destiny is just as much a build game as it is a skill game. The "get good" mentality only gets you so far when the game punishes you heavily if your loadout isn't designed to be lethal and easier to use.
Also I'd like to see videos covering "noob stomping" cheesy strats and how to play and counter them with loadout and playstyle. For a lot of "bad" players I think they're just getting cheesed, and maybe aren't used to games punishing newer players so hard. Even better, show how top tier players incorporate cheesy strats into their playstyle that typical players don't.

Always go after the slayer on the opponent's team, if they out preform you in one skill set, well, slow them to a crawl, make them go after you, bate them into becoming frustrated, making mistakes, then ya make the kill, e-mote something like a salute if it was a hard fought win and so on. One day I started to play with Le Monarque and sidearm. I paired these two with oathkeepers, statis bubble grenade. With bow I have to play really passive and have pay attention a lot more. One week later I noticed I can counter shotguns a lot better and they don't irritate me. Original plan was to play end of this month but my friend talked to me play end of next month 😁. But it have been fun to play this combo and I really joy to play pvp right now.

I've watched quite a few of your videos and videos from others of similar purpose, and have been interested in trying to git gud for a while (but have never earnestly began the process). The concern that makes me tentative to do so is my framerate. In other fps games I can keep a worst case of 90 fps so I have no issues, but on some d2 maps with all settings at lowest and even a lower resolution I'm often running as low as ~25fps. While it feels nigh on impossible to play at times, I know a lot of that is probably just psychological. With all this in mind, I have a simple question:
Is it so much as worth trying to become a solid player with this setback? A very subjective question I know... but I'm interested your opinion. Does some average schmuck have a hope in hell of getting anywhere at that kind of fundamental disadvantage?

I love the video's man. But I don't know why the outro needs to be so loud... I know everyone does it. But you're like the David Attenborough of the D2 community and your video ends with a rave party... Maybe next video can be about the Shotgunius Apius or the Flying Sniprious? Keep up the good work!

Self awareness in all things :) would be great to get your thoughts on how to be aware of how 'good' (or not) anyone is...

I'm always kind of mad when I am in trials and match gilded flawless players absolutely clutch them away but haven't gone flawless a single time on pc. On Ps4 i have gone flawless multiple times but I'm still trying to figure out what exactly holds me back on pc

I have about a 1000 hours in Destiny 2 and i am horrible at crucible, pvp in general.... that thing called gamesense...yeah that doesn`t exist in my head 😂 sometimes i wonder why i grind pvp god rolls of weapons when i obviously dont know at all how to use them 😂
But i still love your videos! I just think i am too old to develope gamesense, it`s not easy when you first started playing fps games at 36 🙂

I would love to know a how good are you🧐 video. I feel so many try to intimidate or Flex there k.D. yet farm 6,s
Or some times it's the killer 3 or 6 stack. I learned the most about myself when I started doing private match 1v1s to practice & I'm still not sure someday lol
