Hey guys, loved to see that! Just a quick note: we don't need to create a attribute node for vertex colors, now blender has a vertex color node that we can plug directly in color socket

ive been snapping my meshes for about 6 months now. After the export from zbrush back to blender it always somehow messed up the position of my mesh so i needed to snap it to older version of my mesh and delete it afterwards to have an updated version of my mesh. Thanks for this video bros

Hey! I've just added GoB to Blender but I keep getting an error message saying "path unknown". Does GoB work with Zbrush Core too or only with the full Zbrush version? Thanks for your help.
Hey guys, question: I've installed the addon and set it up, it works perfectly going from Zbrush - > Blender, but not the other way around. When I hit the addon's export button in Blender it asks me to show it where the zbrush exe is located every time, and never exports the model. Any ideas? Thank you!
Hi all, i was trying to do the same as was explained here in the video but every time when i hit export i get an error saying something about python and about the file path .. what can i do to make it work ??
I was thinking it was going to be a video about how to do some sculpting stuff in Blender like in Zbrush hahahaha. But I did not know about this, it is really useful.
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Ibrahim Blake Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Awesome tutorial! When I hit GoZ with the lowest SubDiv level in Zbrush, the model is shown with the Vertex Color node already applied in Blender, not with the image texture in your video. When I connect all the maps manually in Blender, the model looks distorted. Only when I make GoZ with the highest SubDiv level applied, the model looks good in Blender, but this slows down the computer. How can I export with the image textures already applied to my lowres model in Blender like at the beginning of your video?
the floor of the object is not the same in zbrush and blender, is this normal? i was hoping it would work like maya where the pivot would be at the feet on the floor of a character.

Tip: you can decimate your chunky subtools with "use and keep polypaint" enabled. Keeping the mesh low, while retaining your polypaint. I wish blender had a way to check for addon updates :/
i have a model in zbrush it has over 70 mln polygons, when im trying goz all objects to blender it begins break down . Do these programs support such polygonation or is it because the PC is not powerful enough? dont know what to do ( Could someone give advice ?
Even though the scale and everything is setup correctly when i import objects manually into blender from zbrush, for some reason, when i export the high poly from zbrush and the low poly from blender their scale doesnt match in Marmoset toolbag (i use this for baking). However, if i import that high poly into blender first and the export it from there again as an fbx the scale matches in marmoset with the low poly! I cant wrap my head around why this happens.
I think there's more to this installation than what's shown here or on git. I get nothing but errors trying to export. That or it's not ready for 2.9 or the updated zbrush breaks it
@@FlippedNormals I did some digging and there's more to this installation that needs to be done on the zbrush side. Something to do with the goz structure. I'll post back when I get around to playing with it.
On a previous video you guys mentioned HP models lagging when imported into Maya and suggested using a GPU cache to alleviate that issue. Does blender have a similar fix or does it handle dense models better?
I have it working both ways but Blender is not showing up in the GoZ app list, which is annoying because anytime I try to send a mesh back to Blender it pulls up whatever app is set to current for GoZ. Anyone having this issue and figured out how to fix it?
Excellent video, one question, how do you do in the case of having polygrups in zbrush and being able to import them into blender, work them there and then be able to export them to zbrush again without losing the polygrups, or in case of blender, how to create them there and then export them to zbrush. From already thank you very much.
As far as I know, Blender doesn't support polygroups in the same way. There are the new face sets for the sculpting part, but I would assume these are different from the ones used in ZBrush
hi guys me again i downloaded the zip file but there is no import export file to enable why can i find it and its impossible to contact jose conseco to ask why
But how to transfer the material and it's color? I have many materials / shaders with different colors, but the model is white, only the polypaint is kept :(
Hmm. That scale issue doesn't seem to be an issue for your pipeline, but it's a huge issue for mine. When doing environment art instead of characters, I need to bring finished sculpts into Substance Painter at the same scale, rotation, and position as the low poly meshes from Blender. Everything I send to Zbrush through GoB seems to have an arbitrary scale, which means my resulting sculpts (when exported as OBJ or FBX files) can't be used in bakes.
Thanks for the video guys! Any insight into using GoB to pose a character? (Sending a Tposemesh to keep subdivision levels.) Currently I use Maya Quick-rig for this, it’s the only thing I use Maya for these days. I would like to move everything to Blender. In Blender I’ve tried Rigify and it’s easy enough, but sending it back to Zbrush messes up the vert order or something.
I don't know how rigify works, but it seems strange that it would mess with the vert order. In any case, if you keep a backup of the original mesh you send to blender, that should have the correct vert order. Then you can always get it back. That's me assuming there's some way of vert re-ordering in blender?
@@FlippedNormals I suppose you could transfer the vert positions from the duplicated and rigged mesh and send the original mesh back to Zbrush as you say. Just additional steps. The search continues! Thanks for taking the time!
In this case, Maya seems like a better choice. Maybe it's worth figuring out where in the process the vert order is changed, again it seems strange to me that rigify would do it.
jesus! This PlugIn is everything. There is one weirde thing, when I import the mesh from zbrush (something around 1.4 poly) it appears in blender in super low quality. Idk what to do, sorry if I overheard that in the video.
as a dummy looking to begin learning zbrush/blender/digital sculpting for 3d printing, why is this workflow used? what is the purpose? I thought zbrush was a more thorough sculpting program.
