    It should be live on their website when this video goes live, but they haven't launched it right now as I type this. Hott off the press 😏
    This is the Solar E-Clipse Electric Bike! Is it an eBike or Motorcycle though? You tell me.... This thing is freaking crazy and I love riding it so far!

    Tip of the day: One very good reason to install passenger foot pegs (even if never used) is that it adds protection for your bike if ever accidentally dropped. I don't double-ride on my electric motorcycle but have been bumped in traffic twice where my bike fell and both times those passenger footpegs and my own foot pegs prevented a lot more damage from happening to my bike.

    That is a sweet bike, period. Nice design, great power, the price for a 50Mph Ebike is comparable if memory serves, but I haven't checked prices in a while so there might be slightly cheaper options. I kinda like the rear wheel fender plate thing (If you have to have one I prefer that style to one hanging under the seat) although this one seems a little busy. Certainly seems like something I'd have to register. (oh yeah, the kid is adorable!)

      What? This bike is worse than the Kandy lol
      The sur ron or talaria is the way to go both have 20kw motors vs the 2kw motor here same price range plus this bike has the motor mounted to the freaking swingarm! Dumbest thing ever that's like putting a window under your car even the controller is mounted above the rear wheel lol 😅😅
      in the 5 k range you have 20+ better bikes to buy not counting s73's or Ariel Rider etc

      @@miguel360kmc it's 72 volt and 80-85 amps stock making it about a 6,000 watt bike with a 2500 watt eco mode. However it comes with a battery and Kelly controller capable of outputting 300 amps (22,000 watts) STOCK for 6k. In surron terms, the "red wire" hasn't even been cut on this bike yet.

    • @miguel360kmc
      @miguel360kmc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@williambontrager2349 so what? I mean don't matter if I'm wrong about the motor specs or not. All that power and it's useless the motor is mounted to the swingarm the weakest point of the bike it's crazy low to the ground so zero aggressive riding can be done on the bike which it actually says that in the owners manual along with no jumping the bike ever.
      The controller is mounted above the rear wheel with a fan 😨 sure that long fender and offset will help but it won't save it dirt and mud will 100% make it's way in there. That fan will for a fact die over time. The swingarm will for a fact brake with hard riding
      The motor will for a fact get rocks and dirt up there breaking the chain and maybe more god forbid it jams doing 70mph lol
      The pegs leave zero options for swapping or upgrading.
      The battery placement aside from being simply a pain limits the upgrade options drastically .
      The rear shock mounted straight to the swingarm with no linkage is just dumb.
      Maybe for 100% street riding never riding in the rain or even after it rains it will be ok but I'm not spending over $1,000 more than the sur ron to buy a bike that is insanely less capable than sur ron it's a flat out fail 😨😔

    • @williambontrager2349
      @williambontrager2349 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@miguel360kmc the motor position is protected not only by the swingarm design but also a carbon fiber case for the motor. It's position also allows easy replacement or access. The factory offers a warranty so obviously jumping voids it just like it does with surron. My version doesn't even bother with a fan and is just open but the fan is largely irrelevant bc it's open to air by it's position. The swingarm is solid AF. The battery is in a case just like the surrons just has 3 hex screws to access rather than a key and a floppy lid. Again it's a 72 volt 45 ah battery ($2400+ from chi batteries), motorcycle brakes rather than mountain bike brakes, 105 lbs, Regen brakes, and has all the upgrades you would spend 4k on with a surron already stock and an app can unlock it to a 70 mph 12,000 watt monster FOR FREE. That's while being street legal with a vin#, an alarm, turns signals, cruise control, and many other things surrons simply can't offer. This is a slightly more street geared surron already fully upgraded for 6k. You can't buy a used 72 volt surron for that. The motor is also almost fully enclosed so no rocks are getting in anywhere.

    Sur Ron might have a bad year, with this solar e moto, the new Talaria, and the Sondors e moto. If this Solar holds up quality wise, I think it is the best deal for a 72v 45 ah 21700 cell, 60mph, mid drive, emoto bike. If you go in the app you can make it go to it's top speed.

      Most ppl I Kno with talarias and sur rons don't even take it off road.i got a dual wheel hub motor bike 3 years ago; before mid drive motors were popular. There's currently no market for dual wheel drive....everyone skipped it and went straight to mid drive for the same price point. Unless they can get this under 4k I think the same is going to happen to these light weight " e motos"

      So you think it's a good idea to mount the motor to the swing arm? Or mount the controller above the rear wheel? Lol😅
      This bike was built bye people that don't actually ride bikes.
      Mounting the motor to the swingarm lol I mean that is the weakest point and does not allow for ANY real aggressive riding bottom out hit a rock some dirt you damage the motor having them extra welds on the swing arm makes the weakest point even weaker so just no nope not even
      Controller is going to get ridiculously dirty and corroded and simply die
      Peg mount doesn't allow for any customization without fabrication zero adjustments
      Battery is a pain to get to

      @@williambontrager2349 the question is how do you get it registers as moped if it can do 60? I though mopeds had to be limited to like 35-40 in most states.

    • @williambontrager2349
      @williambontrager2349 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@custommotor lol fun thing I discovered in my states codes, they deleted both the peddle and power limit (less than 2000 watts) language while also not having a speed limit. So any two wheeled electric vehicle over 750 watts is considered a moped and all that is needed is the required safety equipment like brake lights and headlights with high/low beams. One initial inspection and you can renew the tags for 5 bucks a year forever without more inspections. Just can't use it on limited access highways and on bike paths.

      I just bought a 2023 Honda Rebel 500 for $6500...100 miles per tank and I get 50-60MPG. It costs about 10 bucks to go 100 miles. Insurance is about 25 bucks a month as well. And it only weighs 400 Lbs. Fuel injected as well. If this E-moto was 2K it might be worth it...

  • @47f0

    In several United States jurisdictions, this absolutely requires a motorcycle registration. In a few States you might get away with moped registration, but you really need to check your local laws first.
    Having a registered motorcycle can create a whole 'nother bag of worms with insurance and licensing requirements.
