Sure Katniss doesn't know about their plan, but I can see that it is definitely what's inside Finnick's mind. You can see Katniss falling more in love with Peeta two times here. First when he was comforting the morphling and second when he have her the pearl. I love she keeps the pearl with her small amount of possessions when she's in district 13
johanna must've been protecting wiress and betee like hell to get them to Katniss. Especially since we know that betee tried to go into the cornucopia where spool was. Blight must've been very good too.

This scene is done beautifully. An action sequence with very little dialogue, and starts with just sounds and facial expressions. Just the looks Finnick and Katniss exchange before standing up and drawing weapons is chilling.

The confusing world of hunger games where in the government seemed to have the time, money and resources to create abominable creatures and a functioning indoor ecosystem yet, for some reason, fail to provide its common people with such simple resources as food...
It's not that they can't provide food, it's that they choose not to. By keeping the commonfolk poor and weak, they'll never be able to rebel. Keep the people supporting them rich and happy? They'll keep supporting you.

given the popularity of finnick, katniss and peeta, it's not implausible that they would receive gifts like that from sponsors. likewise, theyre right by the cornucopia so there could be more there (given the fact that the cornucopia tends to be packed w things each tribute needs/will make good use of). though, considering the fact that the movie doesnt do much/enough to imply either of these options, id say youre likely right in that it's just a continuity error

The beaches seemed to be, for the most part, safe(r), since each hour's hazards couldn't go beyond the confines of their section, but of course they are also a hazard in that they are an open space easy to observe from the cornucopia. The monkey mutts might have been wired to not be able to step past the forest, much like the jabberjays or the blood rain. The only place where the beach might not be as safe is in or nearby the tidal wave section, as we saw.
Idk about useless but he was definitely carried by Katnis multiple times in the series and the team was carried heavily by Katnis and Fennick . 4 or 3 mutts were killed by Peeta meanwhile the rest took atleast 7 or higher by the end of the fight .
The fact she was willing to die just in hope that Peter and Katnis would someday take down the Capitol is incredible

Katniss didn’t know cloves name or marvels and referred to the girl from 5 as Foxface the whole time in the first games, I don’t think it’s that crazy
