    Good close look at some of the soon to be monsters one thing that was beaten into me by a mate a koi keeper of 30 + years is don't panic if you find a bug or two on a slide if you have a problem you will find the slide is near jumping around with critters on it there. You will always find something when looking treating is down to the numbers you find. This tip has served me well over the years

      Hi Martyn. Totally agree. I only decided to take scrapes because of the Kujaku and what I could see on the tail and fins. All has disappeared now. Also the Goromo dorsal fin is a good indicator that something is not right. Otherwise, like my other animals, better if they get on with things 😊
      If The chag becomes too big, at least I will have an excuse to build a larger pond 😊

    Hey Lau ! Great to see the fish bowled and beautiful Chag, love mine. Sorry I haven't been checking in as frequently, as you know from the comments on my last videos things haven't really been going to plan with the pond. But I am still here, work has made frequencies with my videos a little longer but I will be filling another one soon. Love the intro and little video cut aways at the beginning ! That Kujaku is gorgeous and the pattern is stunning. Looking froward to the next video and hopefully you get those parasites ! All the best Josh

      @@LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection Hey Lau, great to hear back. No bad comments thankfully just when I responded to let you know about the troubles I'm having so I didn't write them in this comment. It's a tough old hobby but I will plough through and hopefully come out of it a better koi keeper. Keep experimenting, I love it ! Unfortunately I will be on holiday so won't be able to make it, if you spot any nice fish let me know. I'm going after quality not quantity for the next few years and reducing my stock. That Kojaku of yours really is beautiful !

    Great video, one of the comments refreenced the age old adage of only treating when absolutely necessary ... lots preach this stuff but what else would they do if there is a clear sign of reddened dorsal fin and tail. You've performed a cracking job nursing the goromo back to tip top health. Good luck and as Leon mentioned you should be right for the rest of the season. Be well and keep em comin!

      Thank you. That's very kind of you. Yes the goromo has been through a lot, but he is strong again, hopefully he will be putting weight on. It was touch and go for a few weeks, but I am there with him now.

    Hi Lau, the delivery of your goromo sounds like a courier problem, although i would have thought the bag should have contained enough oxygen for two days, but well done for nursing it back to life!

    • @LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection
      @LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nigel, I think it's a problem on the supplier side first, as a person said that the fish left Wednesday night and it arrived Friday. When I called them to explained what the problem was, they immediate said that the fish left Thursday. But I have seen how some boxes containing fish get badly handled.. so the combination of both probably almost killed the fish. Putting an air pump is his mouth wasn't ideal, but it saved him 😊

    Got some good growth going on there Lau, shocking !! 48hrs in a bag uk to uk, I reckon that was down to the courier rather than the dealer but if the dealer bagged it up and prepped the koi properly it could of done 48hrs in a bag .., I was right then guessing tric ☹️but some good info on the nasty little blighters, I found alparex works best for me but it does turn your pond luminous green for a while , see you Saturday 👍👍😀😀

    Good update Lau, I have tric earlier in the year and went with PP at 80% dose rate to be safe. I did top it up with a 50% dose after 2.5 hours and didn't need the HP. Next day water was crystal and tric gone. Don't blame you for not wanting to try it but for me FMG didn't work. Hope you have sorted it now.

    • @LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection
      @LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah PP is a harsh treatment. More worried about their gills than anything. Formaldehyde seems to have worked .. so far it has after the second dose. If it comes back and they weren't fully eradicated, then I will do PP.

    Hi Lau another awesome video mate it happened to me too treated for flukes with the lernex Pro then ended up with costia 🤬🤬🤬🤬 bugs this year is maddening nice that you have got rid of it. And the treatment you have had with you're goromo is absolutely disgusting mate I would be spewing bullets if it was me, I say name them so that others are aware of how they treat fish and customers, pond's looking good though mate 👍👍👍👍

    • @LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection
      @LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Vince. Marek was explaining the other day that costia was almost pretty normal after flukes as they get released from the guts and via the gills. That was interesting.
      For the Goromo, I know.. I am pretty disgusted to be fair. I have been emailing them and over the phone. They know what they have done. I am shocked more than anything. But what else can I do... But he is healthy now and the red on his dorsal fin has gone, he is eating lots, but it has been tough with him. I am surprised he is still alive..
