So when you submit the edit ( new ds160 ) you will get a confirmation receipt. Then you link the new ds160 with your profile on travel docs. So when you go for an appointment they see the new ds160. I hope this answers your questions.

Yesterday I tried ani that the the travels loaded it log me out and again I logged in with the new application id that was showing in not loading page ... And it logged out me again and again I entered in new page .. that continued.. that happened more than 10 times I guess .. it took me 3 hours to complete.. remember if the page will not load just wait don't exit ... Just wait wait wait then it will.log you out and again fill the security question... If it is taking too long like 2-3 minutes refresh it by pulling up to down. And don't do exit or anything

If you are talking about extending the expiration date then that is not possible you have to submit within 30 days and then can edit it later if any changes occur before your appointment.

You have to update the ds -160 associated to the appointment if you want to make a change in your current ds-160. To answer your second question, it can be different.

Have you tried reprinting your confirmation letter from the portal it might have been updated.
Is your new ds160 number updated on the visa appointment confirmation?
Can you confirm if you created new DS-160? If yes, did you change in interview appointment page or that had old DS-160? How was your interview?

There is difference between a passport number as per appointment confirmation and as per DS 160. Is this a problem at the time of appointment?

There is an option to save at the end of the page while filling ds-160 form. Just click that and then the data entered will be stored.

No, they can’t. They can only see that ds160 which you have mentioned in appointment CGI portal.

The security question cannot be edited. Only the information that you filled in ds160 can be changed.

No there's no way to review the submitted form. You can only do it if you have a downloaded copy.( Which is available when you submit )

Fill ds160 form separately and then when you book your create profile to appointment book you will get the option to add dependent.

As per USTravelDocs India website, you do not have to change the interview location on DS 160, if you have booked interview at a different location than the one you originally selected on DS 160 when you submitted the form.
