- I attempt a BLIND Hardcore Nuzlocke of Pokemon White 2, without having EVER seen any gen 5 game before. What follows is by far my best video yet. I truly hope you all enjoy, I poured EVERYTHING I had into this one. 💗

Bit of advice for blind Nuzlockes, the moves protect and detect are extremely useful as they allow you to safely scout out moves.
also toxic stalling
or use substitute
Or get setup on...
I wouldn't use it too freely though, it can backfire badly if the opponent has a setup move...

I love how different this nuzlocke video feels compared to most other nuzlocke videos I've seen (although haven't seen THAT many). The pokérap to name the encounters you got was awesome, the art was so cute and the video in general was really well edited.

That Pokerap was amazing! Also super happy with the ending and the fact you're cool to do that. I know a lot of streamers wouldn't publish a run with such an ending. Caught me off guard which makes great content for the novelty.

Laughed my butt out on the Rockslideth shakespearian-esque bit, had a lot of fun watching!
Great run and nuzlocke, just goes to show the snowballing effect missed encounters and dumb deaths early can have on the endgame (mainly thinking about how a certain lost Sandile would have been a perfect counter for a certain Bisharp...)

Oh for sure. I don't think I realized at the end just how much things snowballed from just a few lost encounters. Nuzlockes do be a wild beast. thank you!! you're the first person who commented on that part, I was hoping some folks would get a good laugh out of it
Loved the alpharad reference and the rest of the script for this vid has been gold so far
From my own, admittedly less blind, nuzlocke of this game, I found out that Cheren's AI seems to demand that he have +Attack of at least 1 stage before he'll attack. Cheren achieves this using Work Up, which increases Attack by 1 stage per use (and Special Attack, but that's irrelevant here). Azurill has Charm, which lowers attack by 2 stages per use.
So yeah, Azurill saved my run in that fight as well. And to think I was disappointed to miss out on Mareep or Riolu from the Ranch (the only place you get any of the 3, from what I know).

Nuzlockes are like my favorite thing, so I always love to see new people trying out this really fun way to play pokemon!
I hope for the next one you do actually grind instead of rare candying your Pokemon though. A big reason for that is when you rare candy you aren't getting EVs so using this run as an example, if your Pokemon are at level 60 you're missing out on ~80 stat points. And that can definitely make and break some fights
oh for sure, but in a way, I like the extra challenge! wouldn't be as compelling to just one shot my way through hehe
TRULY UNDERSTAND THE TRAUMA OF THIS NUZLOCKE. The God restart was priceless and so surreal
A very valiant attempt! I’m in love with your wordplay and alliteration. Don’t sweat continuing at all… the usual justification people give is that after you wipe the run is functionally over anyways but I’ve found that’s extremely false, especially with more recent games. Fight until the last ‘mon falls!
One tip: Skarmory and Jellicent are both very good. I’m surprised they both road the bench until the Second Battle of Getsisburg.

You were totally justified in starting over with a new team. That you wipe when your entire team dies, even with Pokemon in the box, has never been a "canon" Nuzlocke rule anyway.

Just to confirm this FlygonHG refers to resetting as his own set of personal rules. Even in Bulbapedia I've never seen it say you have to reset at a white out. And Bulbapedia is the Pokemon Bible

That Clay fight made me remember something incredibly abusable by the AI. The reason Clay didn't go for Bulldoze on Darumaka was because the AI doesn't like to use Speed-lowering moves if they outspeed you. I'm definitely using this in my next Nuzlocke lol

This video randomly appeared in my recommended and I clicked it; I love nuzlockes and I recognised you from that collab video with FlygonHG. And I was immediately hooked by the funny commentary, jokes, and everything else in between. That Pokerap was pure gold and had me dying.
How I never checked your stuff out after watching that collab video until now I do not know and I was doing myself a major disservice. Bloody, just so you know, you did way better than I did when I did a non-blind Nuzlocke of Black 2. I lost a huge chunk of my team in the eighth gym, then kept getting unlucky trying to train replacements until I only had three Pokémon left, total. No backups in the box. I decided I’d try training in Big Stadium and Small Court in Nimbasa City, but forgot that beating the seventh gym had given them a level boost. I lost my entire run to a random pair of cheerleaders. So don’t feel bad about your mistakes; I managed to do this despite actually knowing what was coming. Congratulations on your first hardcore Nuzlocke, and I can’t wait to see the next one!

Well, I loved that. So much of the Nuzlocking community these days is all about playing the "perfect game" that it takes a lot of the fun out of it, but having you go into these blind makes it all the more entertaining (plus your humor and productions values are outstanding). I hope we see the next installment sooner rather than later, but no rush, as quality like this is worth waiting for.

A+ Prose all throughout, thank you for buying me a ticket for this emotional roller-coaster. And no shame from me on the extra life-a little bit of plot armour now and then doesn't stop a story from being entertaining and engaging.
I'd also love to see more kinds of challenge runs from you than just nuzlockes down the line; there are a lot of different formats, and it's not so hard to stich together your own rulesets either! (I even made one myself that I enjoyed greatly-though I've only tested it in Sword and Shield!)
That being said, I do indeed look forward to tuning into the next episode of Bloobyball Z!
