Yeeesss thanks so much dude. This is one of my favourite songs on the new album and probably from the band too tbh. Your tabs are always more reliable than others, big ups
As someone who bought a cheap Jaguar and a LP for first guitars......I have learned a good vintage-sounding Strat is invaluable especially if you wanna play RHCP/John Frusciante songs. It just sounds and responds the right way
brother, i'm waiting for the day, and i know it will come soon, when your tabs will come out before the original record ... great great job bro. you are a point of reference for the pieces of Frusciante & co
i'm really excited for let em cry! the wah work on that is great :) a lot of these songs i'm not bothering to learn because the guitar sits so heavily in the mix that it doesn't sound right played by itself, while some other songs are more heavily guitar led
Nikola, could you do Little Wing by Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood at The Madison Square Garden sometime please? i'd love it if you covered that, i've been watching your videos for a year now and i think your approach to that performance would be phenomenal. Love from Asia
Perfect as always Nikola! Been a sub for a few years now, you taught me Californiacation. Can you do Whatchu Thinkin’ by RHCP? I love that song and would love to know how to play it.
hello nikola. I've always wanted to ask you a question. What's your favorite Red Hot album? Did you also like with Klinghoffer on guitar? And in your opinion, is their latest album as good as the others? I know it looks more like an interview, but I'm really curious about your thoughts! But mostly thanks for the immense work you do and that you make available to everyone. Greetings from Sardinia bro
Awesome playing as usual! But I'll have to disagree with the tonality choice for the verse... It is full on E major! [I - bVII -IV - iv - I - bIII - V] Also the bridge and chorus (first ones) scream Dminor with Ebmajor being the Neapolitan subdominant.
Thanks! I might be wrong on the tonalities. I was trying to make sense of that change from A to Am. What would be the explanation if the whole thing is in E major?
@@nikolagugoski WOW you answered! Again, I love your videos... As for the explanation: I think rock music and Common Practice theories on tonality differ a lot in terms of "functionality"... I think rock music has much more in common with the older medieval/renaissance modal theories so that's why a LOT of chord choices may look... random or even unfitting (is that a word?) => like the bVII or bIII, right? Of course, as an art form, it definitely turns into something else as time progresses but I think the reason these chords are so ubiquitous is because they were born simply out of the necessity of harmonizing in fifths... so if your melody is emphasizing the b7 of the scale, you'd harmonize it with the b3 on the bass, so that the first note IS the fifth of this chord... (hence so many power chords). As for the IV - iv, I think that's more straightforward, it's just a minor plagal cadence. Again, thank you for doing what you do!
@André Paroni Hey man! I know it's been a while since this comment, but I want to put the circle of fifth on my new video and I'm a bit confused with a few things. By your comments, it looks like you know what you are talking about, so it would be great if we can talk a bit more. Let me know where I can contact you if you are interested. Thanks :)
@@nikolagugoski Hey, Nikola! You flatter/overestimate my abilities by a long shot! Hahaha That sounds great though! I'd be thrilled to do that... though you gotta promise not to hate me if I'm not able to figure it out (seriously though, if it's something that I'm not too sure of, I'll be honest and admit defeat Haha) I'll send you a message on Instagram, sounds good?
You should do Soulshine by Warren Haynes. Would be even cooler if you did the live version and included Trey Anastasio, and Derek Trucks solo parts. That would be amazing and a cool challenge for a talented musician such as yourself. Just remember this song is in Bb major but tags a little minor in the solos. That gives it the unique sound.
Dude would love a second channel maybe just discussing for example what you think of albums or guitars pedals ect. If you just casual no set releases or algorithem chasing just casual engagement. I think guitar wise new album OK but musically poor overall especially lyrics, and few good hooks but not into it
I'm not smart enough to know what the hell is going on exactly but I'm smart enough to know the way that pie shape keeps changing all over the circle pretty much means he's pretty good cause I'm not sure wth going on lol
Danke!
Thank you so much man! You've bought super thanks on a few videos. Contact me somewhere to send you some PDFs if you are interested 🙂
Could you make 'it's only natural', please? There is an incredible solo !
There's like 3 incredible solos in that one.
I love that u put the circle of fifths, it helps a lot to understand about th theory behind each song
@@Deekaidthe beato bandit!
I dont understand it, it keeps jumping all over the circle without any logic to me

This one finally caught my attention last week because I noticed John was singing the chorus! Love it!

What’s happening at 3:25?? How can I get that really high (and cool) tone out of my guitar?
You'll need a real amp that can play loud :)

I suggest you play it once through in normal time in the beginning before breaking it down into a lesson.
That way I'll get a lot more copyright issues. Also, I think most people will lose interest until we get to the lesson
Didn't notice the key change at the end
