This solarmax inverter is manufactured by Asisan Power Devices (APD) Taiwan. Outside Pakistan it is sold branded as pirmeVOLT, or Senergy or Cellcronic Galaxy 7G inverter.

Asalamualikum sir,
I want to know that your batteries are set in lead acid type. So after 100% soc does it still charge the batteries with 100-150 w or not to maintain the soc.
In my case I have 4 osaka pro-200 tubular batteries and it charges them with 102W after 100% SOC. Is it ok or the inverter is overcharging.
lithium ion batteries ko cool rakhnay ka setup karain. only lithium iron phosphate lithium ion batteries are safe.
These batteries are in 14S 20P setup. Meaning 14 series and 20 parallel. Each call can discharge at 40amp. So overall 800amp at peak but i have been only using it at 80-100amp max. ( the BMS is set to lock the batteries at 70+ temperature or over 4.2v per cell or under 3.1v. So far (in past 5-6month) zero beaches. Also I under-charge the batteries to 54.5 volt at 10amp instead of the recommended 58 (4.15v x 14 in series) at 40-80amp. And I agree phosphate are much much safe, hence this setup is outside the house (in garage) and in ventilated area.
Please make video on time based charging.

Does the bms of these batteries communicate property with inverter?
Unfortunately no. These batteries are added as lead-acid with charging specifications provided by manufacturer. In past 3 months, not a single "safely protections" have been trigger by battery BMS. The SOC on inverter are may be a little out of sync during discharge but they sync up again once the re-charging cycle is complete.
@@ShoaibKhan-zd8sp strange, somehow the battery's bms should trigger safety parameters independently.

Jii, change the hybrid mode to “backup” . It will first use solar, then wapda and then batteries.
And jii with 3 sources if you switching of wapda, it will power the load from remaining sources in under 100ms

the way MPPT works is that it would dial-back to power curve to only deliver what is needed. So in this case you are exporting 6000kW to wapda, the MPPT will reduce its output by only generating 6000. however it has the potential go generating 7500.

This inverter has an excellent mppt. suggested string size is 200-450 Voc (with in 80% of Voc max) and upto 15A per mppt.
So that Absolute Maximum 8 Candian TOPBiHiKu6 (N-Type TOPCon Bifacial Module) per string. However go for 7 per string to stay below the max limit

@@SaeedKhan-fg8th For MPPT over voltage is an issue. Current draw is controlled by inverter. it wouldn't draw more than 15A. It like a system that run on 12v, you can attached 85AH or 185AH battery it all good but you can't attached a 24v battery.

How to set charging time 11 to 1 pm(Peak Production Time Normally) to get maximum output from 16 Panels otherwise it limits to 6.1Kw .Im using backup mode.Can i turn on time base control to limit charging time so that it will charge in these 2 hours so production will go to 7

Yes you can do it with time based control functions
Please call solarmax support on 03151230064 and they will guide you.
here is what i use to (a. charge battery from 12pm to 4pm, b. use batteries during peak hours, c. prevent the inverter from early morning battery charging where solar production is low)
STEP 1: Set mode to "self-consumption-mode
STEP 2: Under hybrid Mode setting, Set two "charge times". First from 11pm-11:59am with charge limit of 100w or less. Set Second charge timer from 12:00pm - 3:59pm and the charge limit to 1000w (adjust to your battery capacity) and do not set any discharge time.
STEP 3: Disable Grid changing
Sir will it work with backup mode as well or it will for self consumption mode?
@@muhammadshaharyar5086 From my understanding, "backup mode" ensures the battery remains charged continuously. Even if you deactivate "grid charging," the battery will commence charging once sunlight is available. Therefore, if you opt for time-based charging, you'll need to configure it as follows:
Timer 1:
• Start time: 11:30 AM
• End time: 1:30 PM
• Charge power: 1000W
• Charge to State of Charge (SOC): 100%
Timer 2:
• Start time: 1:31 PM
• End time: 11:29 AM (next day)
• Charge power: 100W
• Charge to SOC: 50%
My istaller said charging a bettery with Grid is Good for Battery life. What u say about this?

Yara it is an excellent inverter and “yes” is answer to all your questions.
However if I had to do buy inverter again then I’ll go for nitrox with nitrox wall mounted battery. Solarmax doesn’t offer wall mounted batteries.
Explore max power with max power battery - the were supposed to offer 10 year warranty for the combo.

With 50V per panel and 10 panels, you will be close to 520Voc. Generally, one should keep a 20-25% margin to the upper limit to accommodate for weather. On cold days when the temperature drops, the Voc (open circuit voltage) increases by 0.30% per degree drop from STC (standard test condition of 25°C).
What this means is that if you create a string of 500V (at STC), the same string will be at 500 + 37.5V (0.30% per degree) at zero-degree temperature. And there goes the inverter! because of PV overvoltage.

@@Rrizwanas far as i know meter had a lot of issues so they offered simple CT based solution to match the inverter designed life of 20+ years
