    Lavender, mint, eucalyptus, and lemon are all my favorites. Lavender just calms me down. Mint is for when I want to stay awake. Eucalyptus is for when I'm tired. Lemon is for when I'm feeling good. :)

      @@hasnaat8123 Mint contains menthol, which binds to your cold receptors and increases their sensitivity. This causes the affected area to feel as if it is colder, which triggers a response from you body suggesting the possibility of danger. Because your body suspects danger, it prepares for fight or flight by releasing epinephrine (or adrenalin) and cortisol. These hormones increase alertness, dilate the blood vessels, and raise the heart rate. This is what causes you to feel awake. It's similar to pinching yourself or listening to loud music to stay up, because it basically just coerces your body into releasing hormones that keep you alert.

    Being a certified aromatherapist, I advice/inform my clients on all the issues mentioned in the video as well. Glad to see that someone is giving such excellent information to those who are not trained or educated on essential oils, since they are not so “innocent”, “harmless” or “safe” as everyone thinks they are!! Yes,they are very interesting and could help people in several ailments,but...Many of those have serious contradictions and should be used in low quantities or not at all! Regarding pregnancy: it is adviced during the first trimester that pregnant women should avoid using ANY essential oil at all. After the first trimester only two or three essential oils could be used,and they should definitely be diluted in a carrier oil. Kudos for this video!!

      Sarah Ferguson I hear this over and over from Aromatherapists. Personally I think it's a super safe insurance driven approach. They might get into big trouble if they taught that you can use Lavender on the skin undiluted and one of their former students clients reacts to it. Not wrong exactly but not 100% true. It's a safer way to start and a good idea but not entirely necessary in most cases. when somthing is proven safe over and over and over again like Frankincense it proves that the blanket rule is not 100% accurate. it's a good guideline to start until you learn more (from credible sources like Robert Tisserland). Robert Tisserland is a recognized top authority on safe use of Essential oils. He literally wrote the book on it. I have read it. Have fun learning more! don't close your mind just because one authority says somthing. Science is all about trying to prove things right or wrong and accepting the results. If others didn't accept being proven wrong we would still believe the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth.

    Please be very careful with tea tree oil. I used to use it a lot for ringworm, athlete's foot, first aid, and for cleaning. I did so for many years with no issues, however all of a sudden I developed a very severe allergy to it. In other words, I became sensitized to it to the point that even a brief exposure to a tiny bit would result in huge water blisters, and a rash that would take over a month to clear. Perhaps if I had had some competent advice concerning its use, I would have only used it diluted and not ended up with the allergy. It was a very frightening experience.

Always better to be safe, & hey I might learn something new along the way. Like using Castor Oil when making topical rubs. Castor beans have their own anti-inflammatory properties so when mixed with something like Lavender it makes for a great rub for sore muscles, joints, etc. About 3- 4 drops per tablespoon of Castor.

    Ok this is easy to understand but can you clear the ingestion, and if I drink it as prescribed by you will it help to kill the fungi on the nails as well 😊
    Looking forward for your kind answer 🌈🙏 Paulina 🌼

      you're not going to like my response but I'm going to tell you anyway ....i learned aromatherapy with a guy who in the 1970s went to France to study real perfume making with the experts.
      ... later he added the title aromatherapy to his business cards .
      .I got to smell what these real oils are like and the majority of the stuff in all those health food stores is synthetic and or inferior or water down with other oils .
      if you're really really serious your best bet is to get the money together or get student loans... it probably would cost a lot to go to the perfumery school in France.
      ... the only reason I say that is because even if you study with a so-called professional aromatherapist..
      .. you don't know how much they do or do not really know .
      ....some of these people are crackpots and have never smelt all of the real oils ...
      . ..so some of them don't even know what it is that THEY don't know... if you understand what I'm saying.
      ...... just us too many people in America have never even had a real Pizza...
      they think going to Domino's, Papa John's ,Little Caesars , all those places have fake pizza ...
      .... they are loaded with chemicals, and preservatives and some even put high fructose corn syrup in the dough and the sauces.
      ... and don't even really use real cheese ...they use that stuff made from oil... cheese is a dairy product .
      .... the same applies the aromatherapy and essential oils Market.
      ... most people don't know what these real oils are supposed to smell like .
      ....so I'm telling you your best bet is to really learn it at the right place.
      .. go to France it'll change your life I'm sure once you smell a real Clary Sage or hundred-year-old rose oil or real kananga real Hyacinth you never forget what any of these smell like and right away you know when something doesn't smell right

Diff, a week in the hospital and a non healing anal fistula and a Crohn's flare that was life threatening.
    The nose blister kept getting worse too. I found out he was sticking the oil inside his nose! This very expensive and soul crushing year was all due to him burning his soft tissues with straight, undiluted oil

    The most essential oil in my house will always be castor oil, for by taking regularly 1 tablespoon (15 ml) castor oil early in the morning on an empty stmach you will not only be able to excrete all the waste deposed in your bowels but all the toxins in your body (especially methymercury!) via the liver too, and for this one there will exist no dangers.

    "Essential oils, widely used in society, emit numerous volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Some of these VOCs are considered as potentially hazardous under federal regulations. However, essential oils are exempt from disclosure of their ingredients on their label. Thus, the public may lack information on emissions and potential hazards from essential oils. This study examined VOCs emitted from a range of commercial essential oils, including tea tree oils, lavender oils, eucalyptus oils, and other individual oils and mixtures of oils. Using headspace gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), the study analyzed 24 commercial essential oils, including 12 with claims of being “natural” or related terms, such as organic, 100% pure, or plant-based. Results identified 595 VOCs emitted from the 24 essential oils, representing 188 different VOCs. The most common VOCs emitted were alpha-pinene, limonene, acetone, linalool, alpha-phellandrene, beta-myrcene, and camphene. Among the 589 VOCs identified, 124 VOCs, representing 33 different VOCs, are classified as potentially hazardous. All natural and regular essential oils emitted one or more potentially hazardous VOCs, such as acetaldehyde, acetone, and ethanol. Toluene was also found in 50% of essential oils. Moreover, for the prevalent VOCs classified as potentially hazardous, no significant difference was found between regular and natural essential oils. This study provides insights and information about emissions of commercial essential oils that can be useful for public awareness and risk reduction."

    • @robertolson3115
      @robertolson3115 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Smartest question I have ever seen. Notice nobody answered. That's because nobody knows. EO's are high hydrocarbons of themselves, which is why they are so flammable. You don't need additives because they come that way naturally. Some undesirable benzene compounds like Toluene occur naturally, but usually at levels below 1% so toluene is not really of concern. But some of the major constituents can be of concern. Of course toxicity is determined by the dose. EO's are so concentrated it can be easy to make a mistake and burn your skin, or kill a small pet. In the end, there is no substitute for clean air. Its the ultimate.

    • @jerushacarlson
      @jerushacarlson 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      NY MSK try taking it nightly, one drop on an area of thin skin, all month long. If you've tried diffusing it for cramps, that's nor the right method. It needs to go directly on your lower abdomen, 1-2 drops, for the immediate cramps. Long term nightly use of it should eliminate the cramps before they even come.
      Also, I agree with the other reply: magnesium and calcium are essential for health, and most of us are deficient.

    Most of the essential oils you find are not pure oils. They've been cut usually with Dipropylene Glycol (DPG). This cuts the amount of oil that you need but keeps the fragrance. One of the reasons DPG is used is because often the essential oils will irritate the skin and this keeps the irritation down. It also makes the oils less expensive.
