Keep em coming brother… Sorry to hear about Danielle. Giving us a little piece of back home over here in Romania…Thank you!
Thank you, Glad to see were reaching around the world with our little channel!! God Bless
Holy cows there a few meals of catfish. Wish we could do something like that in our state. Two Thumbs Up
Thanks, sorry your state restricts y'all, guess you'll have to get your fix watching us🤣. Thanks for watching
As soon as the geese get scarce, I intend on putting my wire nets out again. Great video....
Goose breast medium rare, just about as good!!
Bradley: glad to see you back out running your nets. Hope to get mine out again soon but, this cold weather we've been having really gets to me. Now, seeing you catching and eating has got my dander up. Cheers - Roy
It's tough Roy, Im ready for warmer weather. Older I get the less drive I got in this cold🤣
Yes indeed. Deer season is over. It’s time to get after the fish.
It's that time for sure!!
Hope y’all get to feeling better. This time of year you gotta be getting on the water, not laying up on the couch.
I love those fiddlers. Fried whole is my favorite.
Keep it coming, warm weather is near.
Ready for that warm weather
Awesome video, love the catfish 👌🏼
They bout as good as it gets!!
Great video. Those catfish fillets looked awesome. And that is about my favorite fish too. Hoping for the river to thaw out soon here in Illinois so I can get back out there.
I wish y'all keep y'all's ice up there🤣🤣🤣. About had enough for this year 🤣
Man great job! I haven’t messed with those in awhile, I might have to next winter
Hard to beat these fresh fiddlers. Not sure I could skip a winter🤣
Big fan and love the wire basket videos. Had an idea for a new video. Could you do one on how the catfish are behaving going through each month of the year, where to fish in the water column for each season, when you start moving the baskets up and vertical instead of deep and horizontal, etc.? I know it's a little different for each of us, but I'm on a river in Alabama, pretty close to the same seasons as you. I pick up small tidbits about seasonal approaches in your videos, but would appreciate just a single explanation of catfish feeding habits through the year and how to best get the baskets in the right place. Haven't been able to find any info on that available. Thanks again for what you do for us.
Thanks a bunch. Great idea that will help some folks. I'll work on this in our next wire net video
Also how the spawn affects net fishing would be helpful. Thanks again.
@gameon3716 we can touch on that also. Might have a sit down with an older net fisherman in a video soon. We do touch on that in some of the hoop net videos
Sounds great. That's kind of what I had in mind, just a sit down, strictly informational type video. Thanks again, Bradley.
Like the videos.
Thanks!!
Your baskets are a little different than ours. We make the basket with 1 by 2 in dog wire in our part of Alabama. We buy cheese trimmings by the drum from a guy in Fulton, MS. (I think) Took our baskets up last week, got tired of cleaning the little stickers. Love your videos, plain and simple.
Thanks, glad you guys watching. Louisiana law is the wire has to have 6 inch opening with no smaller than 1in mesh netting. Most of the builders here build them using reinforcement wire and 1.25in mesh netting. Little stickers is right🤣
Cold water cats eat real hood. Y'all had a pile of fish in them nets .
@robertchall8576 They fine for sure!!
That's a heep of fish I can smell em here in TN
Fine eats!!
Dang. Now I want fish for supper.
I know a fellow🤣
Did yall ever put out the wire net throat build video ( part 2) I'm trying to build a few wire nets to fish north west Louisiana this year. I'm confused on the opening size from 1st and the catch throat
I haven't finished that video yet, but on the first throat you'll just run the barrel over the wire letting 3 or so mesh hang over the front. Run a piece of twine through all the mesh in a circle then tie the circle off at 4 points. Hope this helps and we hope to get the video finished in next couple weeks. We just had a bunch of stuff come up
Living off what God provides!!!
Best way to do it!!
You guys ever set for eels with eel traps/pots??
No, never for eals
Where do y’all buy your bait for the trap?
Depends on Where your Located?? If your in North Louisiana, Cooters in Farmerville
Since K&M quit selling Blocks of Cheese. Where are you getting yours from
I always got mine from Cooter's
I need info on those cheese blocks. I’m from west Monroe as well
Cooters in Farmerville or Honey Hole I believe sells them. You can also get them in Janesville from Nets and More
Яка приманка??? Дуже цікаво яку приманку ви використовуєте???
Id love to answer your questions, but I have no idea what language this is. If you ask in English maybe I can help
I love me some catfish I think they are the best eating fish out there I have a question people talk about how catfish are bottom eaters and they are the worst fish to eat how do you feel about that
Catfish lay on the bottom about as much as other fish do. Far as feeding habits, they are a little less picky than other fish that eat mostly live foods. However, they eat about everything a Bream would eat😉. I know when bait on a trotline gets stagnant and old they won't hardly eat it. They like fresh cut bait which tells me they eat fresh dead shad that dies or that's killed by other fish. Now, Buffalo or carp, that's bottom feeders🤣
Where can you purchase those cheese. blocks
5:16
Where are you located. Several bait shops in North Louisiana and South Arkansas carry them. Net companies do as well
I’m in Kentucky we’re can a person get some of them wire nets at and we’re can a person get them cheese blocks at
Nets and more in Janesville Louisiana has them. If anyone would ship it would probably be them. You'd need to check Kentucky regulations of course. Lots of local bait shops in Louisiana have them, but I understand that's a ways. They might can crush and ship the wire nets then you just unfold them. Look Nets & More up online
Ok I will check thank you very much for letting me know I really appreate it I would really like to get some and I really enjoy all your videos keep them coming out
@user-yp2nv3yg2r no problem
Do you make your own bait? If so are you willing to share your recipe cause I really don’t wanna pay the prices I’m seeing on line. My uncle used to make his but I never watched him.
I haven't made my own bait in years. There are some hoop net groups on FB that share recipes from time to time. I have mixed my own though. Years ago when I could get Cotton seed meal in 50 lb sack for bout $6 a sack, id mix it with my Stink cheese and stuff that under my slat trap Throats and wear channel cats out. I hear now of guys using things like soy meal, rice bran, etc. I think anything grain based with added cheese will catch catfish. One of the best baits I've seen for drawing fish in to tight line is sour Milo or scratch grain. So anything gain based and cheese that will cake up
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 thanks more helpful than you know. Good fishing!
@americanhottopics7373 no problem!! Thanks for watching
How do you avoid catching turtles?
Fish deeper water, especially once it warms up. Turtles like to hang out around banks
O ok thanks!
Thanks for the comment now I can go back to eating catfish and stop listening to people that don't know what they're talking about love me some catfish God bless
Lol, id never listen to people anyways🤣. I've caught many channel catfish using live bait and quite a few on jigs while crappy fishing. They eat live bait as much as anything. Their just opportunistic feeders
You don't use any bait??
Yes sir, we do in these wire nets. We use the compressed cheese/soy bean blocks called power bait
That’s a mess of fiddlers. And they charging $9-$10 a lb for fillets in the store. A guy makes money fishing like that and has enough to feed his neighbor
I just can't pull myself to work that hard🤣🤣
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 oh I meant basically makes money just going on days off from a normal job by not having to buy it lol.
@RaisedOutdoors definitely helps being self sustainable
Hey brother, love the videos keep up the good work. I have a question about bait. Do I need to put bait in the hoops to catch catfish?
@robbiepeeples239 totally depends on situation and species targeting, but it's not required. You'll see in all our videos if we're baiting or not. Most of the time Hoop nets are not and wire nets are
Use Google translator.
I would, but if there is a way to copy these comments on TH-cam, I'm yet to figure it out. Sorry
🍞🍞🐠🐟???
Thanks!!
