Clear and accurate information for the 225 Quattro Dom, totally agree on poly bush upgrade that a suspension strip down is not a driveway jack up job. 👍
Forget hybrid crap for 1200 when you can get a brand new Garrett G25 550 for a little extra. But you're looking at around 10k if starting from OEM for a stage 3 proper forged setup for 400+bhp. Stage 2 is the most cash efficient way for these engines, as you said TIP, exhaust, FMIC, injectors and map, up to 300bhp
The benefits of a hybrid is the fact that you don’t need to change the manifold and downpipe, which again is more money. But that being said like you say the figures start stacking up high when you want to pass the stage 2 region figures wise
Great video, agree with the hubcentric spacers and I would go 1 further and say get ones that bolt to the hub then you bolt the wheels to the spacer if your going bigger than 10mm. Your putting a lot of shearing pressure on the extended wheel bolts if your putting 20mm longer bolts on, defo worth an extra tenner for ones that bolt to the hubs.
i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Kylo Ramon thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi dom, got a question, I’m trying too remove my head on my bam engine tt to replace head gasket, 2 problems so far, 2 bolts on turbo manifold have shredded so can’t get a grip on them with the e14 torx, not a problem I thought I’ll leave it attached too the manifold and pull the whole lot with the head, got down pipe bolts off, but heater when trying to remove turbo support bracket, the bolt started Coming out nice then locked up, basically the head has snapped, so now thinking pray bar to try and rip it off the turbo, what are your thoughts on getting it off so I can finally pull the head, proper headache this car. Cheers
There is a bloke on ebay selling ECU's with a stage 1 map for £130. I know its questionable to do this but I needed a new ECU anyway and im loving the extra power - so far no dramas! Edit: make sure you part number match!
@@TheParrottBros thanks it's Avus silver, very clean condition, future plans are that i'd likely to take it up to the 285hp as per your description, with upgraded brakes, on exhaust system I'll probably go for Miltek decat option.
It all depends what your after, big boost and lag or low down spool. The G25 is a brilliant option. Search TH-cam for team prawn racing and have a look at his s3 that runs a Garrett g25
Great video . I have just got a 199 tt sline 225 and find your videos very helpful . My car is at 130,000 miles would a stage one remap start speeding up problems on the way or is it safe enough ?
Providing the cars service and timing belt is up to date a stage 1 shouldn’t cause you any issues. You may find if you have weak boost pipes they may split as you will increase the boost pressure and things like that but that’s all what if’s. It’s more fun that’s for sure
Any chance of a video discussing Haldex options? The HPA Touchmotion system looks good but is the Haldex Competition Controller a better alternative, if you can get one? Is the PowerTrack insert worth considering?
Anyone knows the BCS exhaust for the TT? I've been trying to find something that doesn't sound like a fart box and this one seems to fit the bill. The system includes a 3'' downpipe and 200 cell sports cat. It's got an actuator that makes the car stock-like at low rpm and it opens up the harder you push it.
@@TheParrottBros Thank you for taking the time to reply to comments! It's around 1500 euros where I live and that's just the exhaust system, no work done. I've read only good things about it so far, everyone says it's a quality product. By the way, I've installed the forge blowoff valve and the ramair filter. I didn't expect it to be so loud! You can hear the car breathing like it's alive.
That’s good to know, yeah it’s funny some people think the induction noise is too much haha. If you fit a turbo intake pipe it makes it even louder too
thanks for the video.. I have a question regarding exhausts.. I'm going for the Baf Motorsport down pipe do I also need the miltek back box? would that be the best combo for a bam 225?
I would email Chris and make sure it mates up to the miltek, I’m sure it will. The miltek does produce a lovely sound. Search TH-cam for miltek cat back noise
Neville Carpenter hey buddy, thanks for the nice comment 👍🏻. Coilovers is all dependant on what you plan to do with it. I’m just going to fit nicer shocks and some eibach -25mm springs. Keeps it nice and comfortable and slightly lower and stiffer
@@TheParrottBros Fitted the Bilstein springs but not happy with the front, they seem to sit higher than the back, i was wondering how are yo Eibach springs? what are the measurements? it is now a toss up between eibach and H&R, by the way i have a year 2000 Sline.
Surely a 'decat' exhaust won't get through an mot? I have a milltech rear box, sounds awesome, really nice bass rumble as opposed to to the 'waspy' crappy sound most exhausts seem to have
Thats Correct nick, a lot of people run decats and then swap in a cat for mot or find a way around it. The miltek is a lovely sounding system and very popular in the 1.8t world. Some others can be raspy I’ll try and film some different ones next time we all get to meet up
Great video once again!!! I see all your videos. I see that you make a lot of research and spend many many hour doing research for midifications. Have you been thinking about doing remap yourself? 🧐 I would like to contact privately about that. I have spend many many days doing research. I will send you PM about that.

Great shout that, I’m going to be doing a video on spacers at some point I’ll be sure to add that
Or instead of using wheel bolts change to studs that go into the hub, makes it so much easier when putting wheels back on.
Very clear and good video. Thank you for the advice! Would love to hear a big power setup video
Thanks for the comment, I will start doing some research and see what I can do
Really would love you to do another video going into depth about big power builds !!!!
There is one planned for early next year 👌🏻

Have you changed the downpipe, fitted a fmic & put a tip on? Best figures will be with above mods 👌🏻

Awesome vid! any suggestions on 15mm spacers?
H&R are very good quality spacers, good build quality and fit
Thank you :)
We need big power mods!!!!
Noted, will start doing some research
hello. about the rods you're talking about? is it the rod inside the engine? or the tie rods under the car? sorry new to modding cars
If your looking to get more power the rods are what push the pistons up and down, rods short for con rods :)
thankyou :D
Any upgrades for V6 s-tronic?
You know what it’s something I know little about, leave it with me and I’ll see what I can find out
Can I map without changing the back half of my exhaust?
From decat back I'm stock. From decat forward it is 3 inches.
Yes that’s absolutely fine, a lot of people do that

Is this only for the Quattro or the 2wd as well?
Exhausts and certainly other things like rear anti roll bars may differ on 2wd vs Quattro setups. In the uk they are more Quattros than 2wd models.
