Not all TT's had bose, some just cae with a part amplified speaker system, my silver roadster doesnt have bose for example. i would say probably 10-20% of tt's dont have bose but i think it was quite popular in its day
They are an acquired taste, if they produce them from factory I would be a little bit more keen for the fact that the ones that produce the metal and are quite heavy and it doesn't really suit the rounded shape of the silhouette at the back for my personal taste but I can appreciate them
I've emailed you about pogiparts and some roof bars! Great vid by the way....some interesting stuff, I've seen a guy on youtube restore one of the ABT cars.Oh and I've got some of the GTT stuff brilliant stuff buy the way!
I just bought a Mk1 TT and from your videos, I knew what to look out for and what to worry about. I instantly saw the OEM cupholder and thought of you 😂 yeah sure it's got a couple of problems that need fixing but brilliant service history and this guy has owned it 6 years and has spent lots of money making sure it passes its MOT each year so I was happy with it. Parts need fixing; flexi pipe and power steering pump.
A CUP HOLDER!!! HAHA take my money, i love seeing a cup holder when buying a tt, that or an arm rest haha Sounds like you did your research good on you mate, hope its a good one and you get plenty of smiles to the gallon
@The Parrott Bro’s Haha thank you. I do miss having an armrest but I'll take the cupholder any day of the week.. The car will be nice once its done. However after driving it properly now that I own it I've discovered a problem that I have not a clue what it is. Keeps revving when i let off throttle and dip the clutch to change gear 🤷♂️.. but the power steering pump was just low fluid so an easy fix 😊

Yeah but don't want to distort the look of the vents with one of them and also the direct warm air on the phone in winter i think it isn't a great idea,so i think the better choice is one of those supports of aluminium between the vents because are also great looking and recalls the aluminium parts.

No idea why you would think the window drops get you keys , the reason is due to the design and history , the glass surface area , it drops to save seals and keep air tightness when driving but mainly , when you close the door it allows air pressure to leave rather than pop a window , it was a thing back in the day with cars with small interior to glass ratio , with the old glass seals but country dependent ( with temp ) and or of both doors were slammed front or bk would pop Interested in the 20quud micro switch fix for the door lock if you have a link

As far as I know there is no genuine arm rest made for the mk1. The TT shop and forge commissioned one that looks like it should be genuine with the dimpled end caps. The tonneau covers do pop up on eBay quite often for 100-150 depending On condition and seller. Thanks for the channel support 😎

I bought at auction what I thought was a regular 180.. however there was a limited market in mk1/phase 1 that had a tuned 180 that the only thing different is the brushed steel on the glovebox that has the Audi “🟥S” monogram alongside the Quattro badge in.. I literally panic bought it at reserve price so it didn’t get broken for parts.. deep met blue paint, bright blue leather seats and the wheels that came on the 225 S3 of the same year.. Not all TT's had bose, some just cae with a part amplified speaker system, my silver roadster doesnt have bose for example. i would say probably 10-20% of tt's dont have bose but i think it was quite popular in its day
I liked the Sportek stuff, especially the wheels!
Literally saw spotecs on a TT for the first time last week! Used to seeing them on b5 rs4’s
P3 Gauges do really nice multi gauges in the vents... still avalable
Just been looking into them, they are very cool
Damn I got mine with the single arm armrest and the cupholder, didn't know it was considered rare
Sounds like you did alright then! haha they are nice bits i bet you couldnt imagine being without
Going to buy my first tt before Christmas. Had a4’s and golf gtis but no tt as of yet
Good video i have in my TT a factory optional extra which is a coat hanger
Love that, stylish and practical
You missed rear window louvers, they are very cool 👌
They are an acquired taste, if they produce them from factory I would be a little bit more keen for the fact that the ones that produce the metal and are quite heavy and it doesn't really suit the rounded shape of the silhouette at the back for my personal taste but I can appreciate them
Scored some OEM roof racks, with ski rack today in Northern California. $450. I can't believe it.
Ooo amazing!! ive been on the hunt for a set for years they rarely come up for sale anymore
@@TheParrottBros , gentleman was selling the car with the racks, took a chance and contacted him, was able to buy. Only an hour away.
Loved these options
Some very cool and very odd items thats for sure
Would be nice to see for the B5 and B6
Brilliant vid mate, still say if they did baseball black with red stitching would have been absolute fire 🔥
thanks peter, i know right, the baseball is a pretty cool set up for 20 years ago!!
I've emailed you about pogiparts and some roof bars! Great vid by the way....some interesting stuff, I've seen a guy on youtube restore one of the ABT cars.Oh and I've got some of the GTT stuff brilliant stuff buy the way!
Is that the guy that bought the really dirty one? love the Gtt parts, easy way to spend a months salary isnt it aha
@@TheParrottBros yeah it was dirty covered in stickers if i remember rightly. I wrote to santa for my GTT parts hahahahahaha
Hello. What is the name of the channel of the guy that restore an ABT?
@@natanaelsantos2027 mec-tec
Great video.. the fiscon mic came as oem i believe that goes in the interior light. Connected to the concert audio head unit
Ooo thats cool, this is what i love about doing videos, there is always things i didnt know about
I just bought a Mk1 TT and from your videos, I knew what to look out for and what to worry about.
HAHA take my money, i love seeing a cup holder when buying a tt, that or an arm rest haha
Sounds like you did your research good on you mate, hope its a good one and you get plenty of smiles to the gallon
Hey brother I've been following you for a long time I'm in America on the East Coast New York-New Jersey area I have an MK 12 25 2001 TT is rather unique I have tons of rare parts that I've been holding onto for all generations 39 38 years old I've had Audis for about 20 years extreme car enthusiasts I used to build on days that I got into Audis I have several right now
Enjoy your videos on the MK1TT and find them very informative. Thanks for all you do. 2001 Quattro 225 with the original cup holder. 👊. I also have. Audi TT Original Custom Car Cover w/TT Logo for Audi TT Mk1 2000-2006. Red and Grey with TT Logo (ZAW400105)
Hood Cover w/TT Logo to Audi TT Front End Bra and Mirror Covers with TT Logo (OEMTTBRA)
Thats very cool! thanks for the channel support means a lot,
this is why i love making videos on mk1 tt's, the owners always have cool things to share as im sure no 2 cars are the same and audi made some random stuff
someone knows any phone holder for this tt?
Yeah if you go on ebay and search oem mounts or mk1 audi tt phone holder there is one that goes into the vents
@@TheParrottBros yeah but it cost much the shipping to italy than the product🤣
@@danieleraviola349 ooo now you didn’t mention county’s haha. That’s a tough one then
Yeah but don't want to distort the look of the vents with one of them and also the direct warm air on the phone in winter i think it isn't a great idea,so i think the better choice is one of those supports of aluminium between the vents because are also great looking and recalls the aluminium parts.
Great vid Dom. I spotted my car a few times.
The price of some parts is crazy nowadays.
Haha i was waiting for someone to say that, i always trey and use cars that i know people own, always nice to see your car on an enthusiasts video ayy, mate honestly some parts cost more than half decent cars haha
@@TheParrottBros you are always welcome to use my car pics in the videos.
You can pickup some good bargains and make decent profit. I recently bought some genuine qS wheels and tyres for £300. An armrest for £35 from eBay. And a V6 bumper for £55 a few years ago.
@@cab29 I will send you a list of what i want if you can source them for me haha
No idea why you would think the window drops get you keys , the reason is due to the design and history , the glass surface area , it drops to save seals and keep air tightness when driving but mainly , when you close the door it allows air pressure to leave rather than pop a window , it was a thing back in the day with cars with small interior to glass ratio , with the old glass seals but country dependent ( with temp ) and or of both doors were slammed front or bk would pop
Interested in the 20quud micro switch fix for the door lock if you have a link
Where I come from, 50 pound a flap does not sound that bad lmao 12:26
Great video, some things in there that I did not know existed!
hahaha!
I had a feeling that there we be at least one thing in there that most wouldnt know existed
Just watched and a listing for a roof rack popped up on FB...lol. New South wales though...and Im in US
Always the way, I usually find when I’m
Looking for large items like wheels or body panels they are the other side of the country 😂
good vid mate i do like the vortex kit 👍
Thanks buddy. That front splitter 😍
mine has the satnav but i cant get it to work no matter what buttons i press...
Have you found or looked at a manual on how to use it, it may be faulty, unfortunately ive never used it so wouldn't be able to advise
If I would of known how valuable the cup holders were, I would of stripped that off of my wrecked TT. I only took the seats, dash and head and rear lamps.
Only a few bits then, loads of smalls are worth month, the heat control caps, the hazard switch etc etc haha
I recently got 02 180 fwd it came with the cup holder but it broke I'm now determined to fix it the car is it really good condition for being an American car, im a tech and live working on this car coming from ford the difference is astonishing
Hey Dom! Nice video, thanks you very much! btw: its abt, not ay-be-teh. Its a lastname of campanys founder, not an acronym. :-)
Great vid, love the channel. I have the armrest in my 225 coupe, fairly certain it's Audi manufactured, it has all the right logos etc. Also have the original cupholder(s) in my roadster. Would very much like to get a tonneau cover for the roadster, but seem very hard to find.
As far as I know there is no genuine arm rest made for the mk1. The TT shop and forge commissioned one that looks like it should be genuine with the dimpled end caps.
The tonneau covers do pop up on eBay quite often for 100-150 depending
On condition and seller.
Thanks for the channel support 😎
@@TheParrottBros Gotcha! My mistake. Honestly it really does look like Audi made it, the company did a fantastic job, the build quality is superb, pricey, but I'd say well worth it if anyone has the cash.

I have also seen a roadster with purple poles, it was in my motorist meet video, a special order i believe. very cool indeed
Just started the video, did you mention the aluminum dial dash controls!?
Hey, what are you referring too buddy

Really interesting video this, I have only recently acquired a TT and was interested to see if I had any rare ish parts on it. I have a cup holder which was a good start but I also noticed that I have an old IPod connector cable in the glove box. Yet to see if it is working with the factory stereo though 😂
Usually the ipod connectors work on the really old ones anyway, haha i love a cup holder me :)
Need a votex kit ASAP
You still after the original cup holder ? I have one sitting in my shed 😅
Haha what’s the chances, I’ve now stripped my only TT for a roll cage and have nowhere to put it 😅
hello. very good video, very rare and unknown pieces, you need the 2 din to put a screen. Thank you
my wife starts to hate you, your ideas make me spend money on my tt
Haha tell her im sorry ( im not sorry 😂)
I’m lucky when I bought mine it had an original cup holder 🤪 I didn’t know how rare they were then.
Very lucky man, dunno how people can live without one on a road trip
My TT came with the Audi roof racks. They were hard to get even back then in 2007. I didn’t need them so I was able to sell them within a day for $450.
WOW! yeah they still exchange hands for mad money even till today, look pretty cool though
@@TheParrottBros For sure! If (hopefully when lol) I get another TT, I think I’d want a set to to have them 😅
I definitely didn't throw away my original cupholder..
No you should not! 😂
Got myself an abt front grille that came on a vortex front bumper 😊
Talk about the dream package!
Wish I never sold my tt now, if you look on eBay it’s the Moro blue one that’s smashed up 😔 thinking about buying another one 😅
That’s sad to hear mate! Yeah this is something I often hear people say, they miss the tt’s and come back to them in later life. Just harder to find nice ones

I'm fan of the ABT look. I'm not buying the whole story about 'spoiler fitted to fix dangerous handling', though ;)
Just to make it look cooler, i dont mind either way was long before my driving career
Yes it was real. Above 220-230 km/h the car could lose the rear really easily (peoples actually died in the Autobahn), so Audi made this recall. It's a real thing
On my 225 German spec tt, I have a factory phone changer between the two cups holders . In the hard horse shoe curved plastic that the cup holder bolts to . The external aerial is in the Roof I know it’s factory approved because the hole is dimpled pressed not Just drilled with a random drill bit. No idea what phone it would change I guess a Motorola or Nokia . But no cradle where the handle is beside the hand brake leaver
How cool! often people take the phone part out and leave the hardware, ive seen some cool things people have done with old phone holders like wireless charge pad etc
@@TheParrottBros The first one I saw online had the phone mounting stuff removed and I thought it was a cool looking "oh shit" handle for the passenger to grab onto. I'd been looking for one before I got educated on what it actually is.

Ooo man thats annoying specially as the market for the parts is massive here, im sure there is a work around like ordering it from a third party company that are a franchise or distributer, like tt parts in the links i left
By the way it should be Abt not A.B.T. The tuning company is run by a Mr. Abt, its the German equivalent of the surname Abbot, but without the "o".
Hi mate I’m having trouble with my tt could you help me plz
I can certainly try, what seems to be the issue?
The rev counter keeps bouncing and oil light keeps flashing I have had it go into the garage and they don’t know why it’s doing it I have had ecu testing on it and new oil pump new oil pick up pipe new oil pressure sensor and new oil sensor but it’s still doing it not sure where to go from here thanks 🙏

Different engine models.. I already got an S3 with the Bam in. 😂
