I have never been able to do crow until I watched this video! Held it for at least deep 3-4 breaths & I can’t explain just how happy and grateful I am for this video!!!
I really appreciated that you said it may not come right away. I watched another video where the teacher claimed that 90% of us would get it by the end of her video, which made me - part of the 10% - feel bad/ like a failure! I really appreciate normalizing that for some of us it may take quite some time to get this more challenging pose, and that's okay!
more video like this please! you make me more motivated to do challenging things. I've been struggling trying the crow pose but didn't make any progress. I will try to follow your instruction! thankyou
This is the only video you have to watch to learn the pose. Excellent. I was able to do it in one go for 4 sec only after this video. Listen to the whole thing. Everything is imp what she explains about practicing this pose
wow! my crow pose is on and off, most of time - off. but with this understanding, i finally able to engage the correct muscles and get the balance!!! back of my arms don't hurt as much, now i know how to practice this, thank you!!
“Squeeze something between your legs and bellly” YES! That is the SECRET. Another way to do this is this: when I lift the second leg, I squeeze the muscle I would use if I was about to fart 💨 in yoga class (yes, really) and I am able to lift my but higher and round my upper back and I feel 30lbs or 13 kilos lighter and I can hold crow. So just before you crow, practice 2-3 times squeezing those low muscles to hold in gas, or squeeze (it’s called a keagal) the muscles to stop peeing, then remember to do that once you lift both legs and crow will be MUCH easier to do because you will activate the correct muscles and feel so much lighter.
u really change the game, i have strength but lost the awareness abt my body engaging right way. It really reall wake me up. Wish u uiwll make more kind of video to build mobility and strength core like this.
I have tried over and over unsuccessfully. I just started to get it. It seems that the difference is leaning farther forward. Scarily so. I feel like I could crash onto my face.
I can do it until the part where you lift your feet off the ground and all the strength is on the arms. I just can't do that. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or maybe my arms are too weak. 😢 Can you recommend a video to build strength in the arms ?
Hey Flora 🙋🏻♀️ Yes, it's quite common when we first start practicing arm balances. Bruises mostly happen because we put so much pressure by "resting" our legs on those particular spots. Instead of resting the knees on the arms, we should actively pull the knees towards the chest so that we can take a bit of weight from those spots. Of course this takes time. As you keep practicing, you'll understand the logic behind the pose, and your bruises will disappear 🥳 Hope this helped. Please keep me posted, and feel free to ask any questions you may have along the journey 🤗
I’ve only started yoga recently but on day 8 the crow pose came up but I don’t have strength in arms or legs .. I can’t lift from crouching position.. what do u recommend to do to strengthen legs or core cause I’m lost .
