***** You really havent seen shit about ff7 so you can't talk about it much. I'm sure it will be a complete remake built from ground up but still. And tlour came out a year after the original...so that was a bit too close as the original obviously hasn't aged at all.

Sjono To be fair though God of War 3 aged pretty well, but yeah Microsoft is great at these Remakes the Halo 2 remake in Master Chief collection is in my mind the gold standard aside from the GameCube remake of Resident Evil.

3) You're wrong, this is called Gears of War Remastered. Sure it features brand new assets, lighting and tweaked gameplay etc. but it is not an entire remake. It's just that Sony and Microsoft have very different ideas what constitutes a remaster. With all 4 original games bundled in on top via B/C (all multiplayer enabled) it provides outsetanding value for money, God of War 3.. not so much. =p

It's more of a remake compared to a remaster.
Remake = remaking certain parts of the game/all of the game while improving the framerate/resolution
Remaster = improving the graphics/resolution/framerate and nothing else.
So happy to hear this is coming to pc..

No... Halo MCC was an actual remaster. tlou was a money grub from Sony who literally allowed such a bullshit port to pass and sell for full price. Sad thing is they would have kept selling it for full price no matter what until people were outraged by that fact when it wasn't even a complete remaster at all. It was literally a bump up in the AA and the resolution. That is it. Nothing more. That's shameful and honestly a slap in the face to the gamer's intelligence. It's insulting. Halo MCC gave you 4 games (now 5) for the price of one on top of completely .... literally completely... reworking and remaking Halo 2 and CE as well as the other Halos from the ground up all the way into new updated sounds and new textures as well as just overall more polygons and all the DLC for all the games within one bundle. That's called fucking value. tlou is a fucking disgrace in comparison. Lmao
+pushpopLoC909 Dude, chill, you wrote all this just to write a point I'm already aware of, when comparing TLOU and H MCC as a remaster aspects, H MCC wins, hands down, but TLOU was also great for those who didn't get the chance to play it on the PS3, the graphics was a big difference, and it felt just right on the PS4, And this game believe me man, it was crazy, it was the best game for me last gen. I wouldn't mind paying 60 to play it again, it was magical. A masterpiece, seriously. they also give you The Left Behind DLC for free which was amazing, like seriously I've never enjoyed and loved a DLC like this one since COD WAW's Der rise, anyways so yeah, they're both are great. Sure MCC is a better deal even though it includes very old games like really old, but hey, they worked hard on it so they deserve the credit, they also added the MP of all Halo games which is a deal breaker. You see what I'm trying say here? They are both great. With MCC you get more for your money, but

Annnthony Anthony They also redid the cut scenes, called in actors to and improved the scenes along with animations. Check out the side by side comparisons on TH-cam....i have to give it to them, they really went all out 4 a simple remaster. I wonder if they'll get their money's worth in sales.
It's funny how people make a big deal about 60 fps at 1080p. While gamer's on PC have been doing for over 10 years now. Not to start a PC console flame war. I mean I play consoles as well. I just find it funny that consoles are finally starting to get 1080p at 60FPS while now on PC the big thing is to get 4K at 60fps.

The one thing I hate about gamers is the hypocrisy that goes on. First, Xbox fans criticized Playstation for being to indie and having to many remasters. God of War 3 for one and the most criticizing remark I hear "Oh why not a trilogy remastered, FAIL". Than they turn around and praise Gears of War Ultimate Edition. Where's Gears 2 and Gears 3? Hypocrisy is strong with this community, it's a no wonder why the world looks at it as a joke.
treyart1 Because God of War wasn't a good remaster, Gears of War UE has taken 10 months just to redo a lot of things, they fixed practically all the bugs, every texture has been redone, all the character models redone, and most of all, it plays differentally to the original, well you have the general feel, but not it's a lot smoother everywhere. basically, real effort has gone into remaking this game. Also, they have said they would need a hell of a lot more time to remaster 2, 3, also, i reckon they are doing only one game to avoid the disaster that Halo MCC was

Too early? This game came out almost 10 years ago. Sony has remastered every single game they can and they are not even half as old. What is funny is that Sony stated not to expect many Remasters and they are shelling those puppies out every couple months. Even then GoW UE looks like a really proper remaster. I see so,e of these others Sony has released and don't see a slight difference.

Unfortunately Gears 4 plays the exact same as Gears 3...same roadie run, same stiff character animations, even the same chainsaw, knasher shotgun, and lancer. I was hoping for much more innovation with the new Gears.

2. They said it ran 60fps in single player. (it only runs in 60fps in multiplayer)

5. He thought the remaster of gow1 "is about the most stupid thing i could ever think of" - and was then praising it (with incorrect information) for the whole video...

The Gears of War remaster is fucking stupid and pointless. It's only 9 years old. It's backwards-compatible on the Xbox One already, and they're not remastering all the games so the $40 price tag for just a graphical update is a rip-off.

If you're remastering a game like something from the late 1990's or early 2000's, that's understandable because there's a huge graphical difference between now and then. Gears of War 1 looks amazing! It really has no need for a graphical update for $40! $15 or $20 is somewhat acceptable.
+TheLazyFatMan The Last of Us Remaster was good because a huge percentage of Ps4 owners are Xbox 360 owners who never had a PS3. I never had a PS3 and thought I needed one because I had a Ps4 instead. Nope. They brought over TLOU to the Ps4 and now they're bringing the Uncharted Trilogy to Ps4. I'm out of reasons to buy a PS3. Gears of War is backwards compatible on the Xbox One. Even if you don't have an Xbox 360, you can just go buy it on the Xbox Store and download it in your Xbox One as of November.
MultiMarvelGeek 9 years is a long time tho. Most of the people on the internet now were in diapers 9 years ago. They also didn't have an exclusive coming out. So they wanted to remaster an old one like they did with Halo last year. $40 is a good price point I think. Better than $60, plus you get the gears 1-3 and that shitty judgement game to play too. So that's 4 games basically $10 each and one has a huge graphical update and multiplayer update. All filled with hours and hours of gameplay
