Dont get me wrong, I love the Evo's and STI's, every single one of their models. But the thing that gets me, pisses me off and kinda makes me sad is that Back in say 2004, the STI's and EVO's were almost like king of the streets. Stock for stock or lightly modded vs lightly modded they were faster than almost any other car in its price range, particularly "muscle cars". Its now been 12 years since then and so many performance cars that the STIs and EVOs used to shit on, now doubled or tripled in power, and the STIs and EVOs had made just little improvements. Still great cars, but now they get shit on. Like what the hell, why did you make the big improvements to your cars that other manufacturers have? IDK just my thoughts :(
Because they are mase so That they Can be used in wrc and manufacturer rally. Need som specs That dont unite with more power. 280 hp is because of japaneese tax rules. 2.0l is wrc rally specs with 34 mm restrictor. Etc. There is a reason for everything. In Japan wrx 3.6 is not unheard of though.
+Poor Man Mods they were made to drive the shit out of in all round weather in any condition. Adding too much horsepower would be too much for the daily driver. They are horrible on gas.
acalinga I feel the same way. Knowing Mitsubishi discontinued the Evo, it seems like Subaru could relax a little bit on the rally stuff and make a sports car that's more refined and subtle.
Beautiful intro man! I'm surprised you were so unimpressed with the car though! Having reviewed all the STIs too, the new one felt so much sharper and more composed to me. Maybe Florida didn't have any super windy roads to let the car shine. Or maybe I'm just biased haha. Regardless, keep up the great work David!
i know Im asking randomly but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Cody Jasper thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Then they should of stayed with the hawk eye body for like ever its such a beautiful design. That and it actually looks like a race car/rally car not a fast soccer mom sedan
Subaru messed up by putting the same EJ257 engine in the 2015 STI. It's been the exact same for 11 years besides the improvements in variable valve timing in 2008. If I was on the market for a new STI I'd wait till the next phase.
god ive probably watched this 15 times. really helped me decide, i didnt have many choices, needed awd and lots of space (cuz 6'4) this is perfect just got mine and love it!
I love the 2015 model however I would take the WRX over the STI since it has the new FA20 engine. better gas mileage, makes great power and more reliable than the EJ engine.
I finally got my first Subaru...2015 STi, love it....coming from driving big lifted off road trucks, I love this car. I love its appearance and engine. I'll of coarse look at aftermarket tuners, turbo, etc...when the warranty is up. But, I am very satisfied...
Watching this video 5 years later lmao i got a 2019 sti limited trim, brand new and yes it has sunroof, android auto, banging sound system, car sounds dope, fun to drive and handling is so good but man it just isn’t that fast.... for 2016+ standards its just not that fast for the money. But lmao i would never get a wrx again had 2017 one and i felt like i was missing something
Really think the car looks pretty nice, personally im not a fan really of the 4 door subarus. I think my one and only favorite subaru is the GC8 impreza ( 2 door ) that is converted to a 22b clone. To me the 2 door subaru is one of the absolute best car subaru has designed. I know thats a big claim, but i truly love it.
What i love about subaru's apart from the AWD is the boxer engines i had a old 1994 liberty with 350 000kms for a first car it was a beater and it kept on going like a boss. I have to respect Subaru as a company they make really good cars and they almost always give you a turbo charged version for all their models.
Adding a Cobb Accessport V3 and Cobb exhaust turned my 2015 STi into a completely different animal. Now I can truly appreciate the boxer rumble. Next on my list is the Cobb SF intake.
This being my first Subaru, I am fortunate enough to have the STI and all I can say is that I am so glad that I grew into this car, learned the shifting techniques, and am further improving on my driving. I just love the fact that on a cold morning or a cold night, I hit 100 as if it were nothing, my car wants me to push her further and further, letting me know that I can go so much faster. Its a great car for my first turbo awd vehicle. Test drove the EVO X and the 2014 STI but I fell in love with what seems to be the hybridization of the two beasts. No Regrets :) Love your vids, love the reviews, your fucking awesome man.
+blazernhan to put it short and crisp, I've never been happier. Honestly, it's more than a car when it leaves you smiling after EVERY DRIVE. Test drove An Evo X, a 2015 WRX. Went home with a galaxy blue pearl 2015 STI PREMIUM With bbs wheels. Living the dream
+blazernhan black is beautiful, love black, only issue and gripe I have with that color, is maintenance it takes a lot of love to keep black clean, and galaxy blue as well, so with that being said perhaps the gray which looks mean, or white, but honestly buy the color you love. End of the day it'll be yours. And as far as mpg, if I baby it, like keep my rpms under 3k than I'm good and I get around 26 to 24 on high way, now if you hit boost, than you're looking at lower mpg down to14 to 16 so it all depends on driving habits. To be honest, this is my daily, and she drives like a race car: stiff ride, can be twitchy, and aggressive, but so damn worth every part of it. Test drive both Ive heard the WRX is very comfy compared to the jackal the STI is, but I'm a "no compromise" kind of guy so it's all on your wants and needs. Test drive both and let your heart decide to put it simple, so I regret the STI? HELL NO. Best decision of my life. Drive my dream car everyday. Makes me happy.
After watching the video, to answer the question in the title... yeah, it's missing something. To me, it's the STi character. It's like Subaru gave the STi it's performance bits here and there... but with a tie. Honestly, the first time I saw the new STi was on my way to school. And I swear to God... I thought it was a Hyundai Elantra with a big ol' wing on it. The front fascia looks nice and aggressive, but it really loses it's character heading towards the back (minus the big wing)
What's it missing? A good engine. This engine is SO dated now, i can't begin to understand why they're still using it. The WRX has the turbo FA series 2L, and it is a SUPERB engine. Put similar parts on the WRX and STi, and the WRX will end up making more power. Doesn't it completely defeat the purpose of a new flagship sports car if you don't put your best engine into it? What were they thinking...
Skylar Garrett I, for one, like the lego ability of the EJ engines. I can pick and pluck the best parts from motors of the last 12+ years! Sodium filled valves? Yes please!
Josh Lum I'm a bit worried about a switch over to the 2 liter wrx engine. I like the idea of legacy parts, think the current engine is more than enough for the average driver and the only real benefit I see is fuel economy. Am I mistaken?
I bought the 2015 Limited STi when it first was released. WR Blue and everything. Turned out to be a major disappointment with problem after problem. At 1100 miles Subaru offered to buy it back under the lemon law. It was a fantastic looking and car inside and out, and I would like to own another one day, but I am just soured over the whole thing. The interior is a huge step up from the past generations and was ultimately what made me finally buy one. I think Subaru doesn't want to mess with what has worked for them in the past and this is why this new generation isn't much of a departure from the last. Next generation will definitely have a new power plant.
common mistake I see from drivers in this new car is that they floor it below its power band. you should floor the car when in 4k rpm. the power band is from 4k to redline. the gears are designed to keep you there at all times. also, with this new ecu from Subaru the car actually makes 330HP. they did not re-certify it (probably to avoid emissions and keep insurance rates lower, from a global standpoint) so it comes underrated.
Agree with you that it is missing something. I have a 15 STi and like it, but I haven't done anything to it yet. Like you said in the video, it needs an exhaust to help the sound. I think intake, downpipe, and Corsa exhaust would really give it a great tone and feel.
I was going back and forth between a regular wrx and a ralliart, ended up getting a ralliart but I can't understand the hate for these new 15 body styles. I think they look awesome. Way better than the previous years
The engine is not the same. I understand that the differences aren't obvious considering everything else you've been driving, but the differences are immediately apparent when driven back to back with the previous generation STI.
I completely agree with you on I wish Subaru would've done something more with the car. Especially to warrant the price tag. My favorite cars will always be the Evo's and STI's, but these latest generations.... i just couldn't justify spending the money on them to be honest.
I feel that Subaru should make the 2016 STI have an exclusive model that has a nicer interior, more luxury side, and produce more power. (around 375-400 hp) The Tsurugi had a little bit of a nicer interior, yet still looked cheap. I personally feel that it would go a long way for Subaru and open up into a wider margin of buyers, something that a 40 year old with a steady job could drive around in and not be labelled as some, "young wanna-be punk". I know this isn't Subaru's style, and dont get me wrong I love Subies and their unique rally style, but this is something I had in mind. Im open to opinions back. Thank's for reading!
To be honest it would be a big improvement if they went to the 2 liter engine in the STI, the worst thing about the car is the economy. Another thing is that I wish it came stock louder.
its missing more power and sound. thats why i had mine with turboback exhaust, intake, injectors and fuel pump on e85. protuned by JR too. muuchhh betterr. the car brakes and handles better than it can go in stock form. Idk if your car had a short shifter but all subarus should have short shifters!! You have been driving too many modified cars to like any stock car ThatDudeinBlue I LOVE your car reviews David! even though you didnt like our new subies too much haha
the '06 STI was the best ever, I believe that car in blue with the gold rims will go down as the standard of what an STI is suppose to be, like an old air cooled 911, 60's / 70's camaro, mustang, or c2 corvette, firebird (smokey & the bandit), gtr, you name it when you think about a car which one pops into your mind? when it comes to sti the 06 in blue & gold is definitely the one
Don't let this review sway you guys into thinking its a "meh" car. What he was doing mainly (pulls) is not where this car improved. All the improvements are in the chassis, I suppose you can only expose its new strengths on a canyon road or obviously a track.
If only Mitsubishi didn't kill the Evo :/. At least this Subaru will compete against the new Focus RS. Maybe if the new Ford is significantly superior to the STI, Subaru will finally step their game up and make significant changes the next time around. Can't wait to see the two duke it out.
Turning radius has nothing to do with a car being AWD. To give you an example - a Lancer Ralliart has same AWD system as an Evo X, but has a 32.8ft turning circle (exactly the same as all other cars with the regular Lancer chassis) vs 38.7 ft for the Evo X.
Hey ThatDudeinBlue I'm sure you will prob ignore this message. But I think you should check out a 2015 wrx. As I'm sure you know they changed the engine in the car. I think you would like it. The suspension isn't as firm but handles great still. I don't think the sti is the revolution this year where as the wrx has been for Subaru this year. Im sure people will complain with my comment but its just a personal opinion. Your thoughts?
Hey so I learned manual on my buddies Hawkeye sti **RIP he crashed it** now he has the model before it the 04 to be exact. Now I'm not a big fan of these in particular, I'm a muscle car guy. But his Hawkeye was the most crazy car I've ever driven, his 04 is fast but the Hawkeye blew it out of the way..
Yea actually it's missing something very important, the beloved 5 door hatchback version for both the WRX n WRX STi. Don't worry tho subaru the focus RS will gladly take your sales cause it's already got me saving for one
They need to update the engine and add more noise. I've seen a few new STIs driving around and they're just way too quiet. Oh, and they should definitely make a hatchback!
The subaru philosophy of not doing major changes is actually a good thing. They get to tweek all the small details that were not rigth with the car before. If it ain't broken, don't fix it
Good ol' Dale Mabry. Wished I knew your channel months ago, but at least I caught you before ya hit 300k. Good stuff man, hope you come back some time in the near future.
It's actually not faster. It's slower in a straight line than even the 2014 WRX standard. Around a track it'll win. But i was really disheartened that it lost close to a second on the quarter mile AND 0-60 going from 2014 to 2015. Not that it's a drag car by any means, but still.
It's not an Impreza anymore, the separated the name. Now it's just WRX STi. Oh and Subaru will regret doing a cut paste of the engine and transmission from the previous car. The Focus RS may have up to 350 hp and Subaru will need to increase the power.
My issue is Subaru improves or "Changes" many things on the car over the years except the power. I have an 05 STi and the performance hasn't changed much since then and may have even went down due to added weight, etc. The car should be making about 360 hp by now in stock form after over a decade of being on the market in the US. I collected many magazine articles from 04-05 and 0-60 times of 4.5 secs and 13.0 1/4 times were common.
I’m kinda grateful mine feels like it hits max power at 4500-5000 I get worried when I push it to 6-7000 😅 I’ve tried it before but it doesn’t pull me back into the seat anymore then it does at 4500-5000 so I don’t usually bother pushing it past that, it’s a quick car from factory there’s no denying that..
I love the wagon, I wish they included a wagon version, and I understand the whole "wagon is basically a hatch" but honestly it's not, I'd lose any arguement but there's just something about how wagons look that's different than hatches
I think Subaru will step their game up now that the Focus RS is going into production and make some factory improvements to the car. It probably needs a little bit more horsepower and more noise and it would be awesome.
What it's still missing is that it's not an Evo and now that the Evo is gone it has no direct competitor. The Evo always won is terms of performance and valve whereas the STI excelled in comfort(lol). Many people I know (over 16) whom have owned a WRX moved to an Evo and not a STI as they realized what s superior chassis and drive train it is for whatever purpose. Though.... M series > all.
I hope that with the 2016 Focus RS coming to the states spouting 320hp numbers, it will cause Subaru to be hard at work right now with a beautiful FA25 engine for the STI with at least 330hp!
I like the 2015 WRX STi, I just can't get past the dimensions. Its like the size of a maxima, anybody whose driven/or owns a STI or Evo -they will immediately see the C pillar is massive the same goes to the evo x. The charm to the older generations evo 8/9 and bulb and hawkeyes STi where the small, concise, efficient dimensions. I know the wheelbase might not be the same as a maxima but that C-pillar gives it a mass imo.
For 2015, Subaru have dropped the Impreza name and now calling it a Subaru WRX/STi to differentiate and separate it from the Impreza line. Although it was based on the Impreza. See www.subaru.com, the WRX is now on its own category instead of being under the Impreza line.
Dave, you should see if there is a Mazdaspeed6 that you can review. With all of the STI and EVO lovers out there, I feel like the speed6 is often overlooked even though its a turbo, awd with a 6 speed. They are really rare as well! If you're ever in the midwest I'd be more than happy to let you take mine for a spin.
I'm a very sound heavy person and I LOVE the sound of the old imprezas but the new one seems to have ruined it and gone with a more average run of the mill 4 cylinder sound
If STI worked on the BRZ engine that was worked on by Toyota no doubt, they would have so much more power out of that engine using the standard STI kit.
I love this 2015 STi so much. It's the only generation that made me question if I'd actually take an Evo over this. But maybe it's also because so many people say this looks like an Evo haha.
You failed to touch on the chassis and suspension changes for 2015. The 2015 is completely redefined compared to the outgoing model. Hello 7:55 nurburgring time? I feel the review is a bit biased, but most of your driving reviews are.
Kyle Aschenberg That's why you only take his reviews with a grain of salt because he is no race car driver/has no experience in racing and winning competitions.
Dont get me wrong, I love the Evo's and STI's, every single one of their models. But the thing that gets me, pisses me off and kinda makes me sad is that Back in say 2004, the STI's and EVO's were almost like king of the streets. Poor Man Mods 4 pistons can only do so much
+Poor Man Mods they were made to drive the shit out of in all round weather in any condition. Adding too much horsepower would be too much for the daily driver. They are horrible on gas.
I shat on a STI in my Camaro the other day. He even did the ricer fly by 😂😂
What it's missing is its true rival.
acalinga I feel the same way. Knowing Mitsubishi discontinued the Evo, it seems like Subaru could relax a little bit on the rally stuff and make a sports car that's more refined and subtle.
***** well not so much... matter of fact they are going to have to step up their game with the ford focus RS around the corner !
***** WHAT? They discontinued the Evo? Google time!
yup they did.. last one made is the 2015 which is the same one
***** But it's just not the same man... and it won't. *breaks into tears*
all its missing is some gold rims
Live stream tonight! I'm pumped!
Tj Hunt *wheels
Tj Hunt GOLD BBS!!
Tj Hunt The Launch Edition got the gold wheels
Foreal
That wing though.
David plz
ThatDudeinBlue , hey david i think i saw this car at your st.pete meet, didn't that danish kid own it?
Newsflash it's not missing anything
ThatDudeinBlue David ur almost there... Now just find a 02-03 bugeye, preferably a wagon. That would be sick!
I noticed Sonic the Hedgehog was having a good time back there. :)
Beautiful intro man! I'm surprised you were so unimpressed with the car though! Having reviewed all the STIs too, the new one felt so much sharper and more composed to me. Hmmmm
"SubaruWRXFan"..... Biased towards a Subaru??? No way!!
i know Im asking randomly but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Erick Luca Instablaster :)
@Cody Jasper thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Cody Jasper it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out :D
Subaru is the example of, "if its not broke don't fix it." With the STi
Then they should of stayed with the hawk eye body for like ever its such a beautiful design. That and it actually looks like a race car/rally car not a fast soccer mom sedan
W4rBoY97 I think you mean "If it still works, don't improve it". The WRX has a better engine than the new STi, it blows my mind.

Yep!! Although..:. I agree with David. They could have done so much more with the engine!
If that were the case they would have tweaked the ringlands since 06
god ive probably watched this 15 times. really helped me decide, i didnt have many choices, needed awd and lots of space (cuz 6'4) this is perfect just got mine and love it!
Am I the only one that likes the new look of the STI? I think it looks nicer than the previous generations
nope. love it, it has that classic sti look to it tht was missing b4
at first I didn't because I was being one of the haters but I started to really look at it and they must definitely grew on me
The original wrx sti the best looking ,and far rarer
It looks so ass lmao. 06 Hawkeye is by far the best looking imo
It's missing it's "Subaruness" it's to civil.
It's kinda like a Civic Si... Quick but kinda boring.
Mason Forrest When was the Civic Si ever quick?
Unless it has an aftermarket tune.
Joel Panttila even then though a lot of cars are probably faster
Mason Forrest i do not approve this message.
Mason Forrest Have you ever driven an STI? It is very far from boring.
I just bought one, love it. A tune, muffler deletes, and shifter bushings have done wonders for driving feel. Its a perfect daily for me.
I love the 2015 model however I would take the WRX over the STI since it has the new FA20 engine. better gas mileage, makes great power and more reliable than the EJ engine.
Yeah but it sounds like 💩 lmao

Yea more power. Especially now with the chassis updates it can certainly handle more without sacrificing anything.
Motors these piles of shit can barely handle stock power.

Then in no time enjoy a new motor.

In japan they have it but here the fuel isnt high enough octane to create higher power levels.
Legacy parts. If you want a fast straight line bolt on a few for damn cheap by this point. The cornering is where this one shines.
Skylar Garrett I, for one, like the lego ability of the EJ engines. I can pick and pluck the best parts from motors of the last 12+ years! Sodium filled valves? Yes please!
Josh Lum Japanese STi still has an EJ207 motor. Don't let the 2.0L fool you, Japanese sti has never had the EJ257 2.5liter the states has.
Josh Lum I'm a bit worried about a switch over to the 2 liter wrx engine. I like the idea of legacy parts, think the current engine is more than enough for the average driver and the only real benefit I see is fuel economy. Am I mistaken?
It's crazy watching these videos you recorded in Tampa and seeing where I go on a daily basis! Keep up the great work dude!
I like the way he bangs on about performance aspects, like how late you can brake etc, but never even leaves town.

Agree with you that it is missing something. I have a 15 STi and like it, but I haven't done anything to it yet. Like you said in the video, it needs an exhaust to help the sound. I think intake, downpipe, and Corsa exhaust would really give it a great tone and feel.

But look at BMW and Mercedes interior. Very classy and high functioning. It would go a long way to add more sophistication to them!
Yooooo I'm so happy you reviewed this wonderful car 😱
my engine mount bolt was in my splash gaurd on my 2015 STI !
and my ring blew under 5000kms
Nima someh matth farah's press car has a 4th gear grind too with 5k miles
David!! That intro was beautiful, you truly are talented.
To be honest it would be a big improvement if they went to the 2 liter engine in the STI, the worst thing about the car is the economy. Another thing is that I wish it came stock louder.
Just took mine to the dragon and she did bloody amazing. Corners is where this car comes into its own for me and why I bought it
Just added a Nameless Exhaust and the car just came to life!! I don't know how I lived with it with stock exhaust, it was way too quite.
That amazing intro... Wow David, your camerawork is amazing.
Whats is missing? Well power, good sound, and style!
its missing more power and sound. thats why i had mine with turboback exhaust, intake, injectors and fuel pump on e85. protuned by JR too. muuchhh betterr. the car brakes and handles better than it can go in stock form. Idk if your car had a short shifter but all subarus should have short shifters!!
You have been driving too many modified cars to like any stock car ThatDudeinBlue
I LOVE your car reviews David! even though you didnt like our new subies too much haha
the '06 STI was the best ever, I believe that car in blue with the gold rims will go down as the standard of what an STI is suppose to be, like an old air cooled 911, 60's / 70's camaro, mustang, or c2 corvette, firebird (smokey & the bandit), gtr, you name it
when you think about a car which one pops into your mind? when it comes to sti the 06 in blue & gold is definitely the one
I seen one like this in person. It is nice car, but i like the older ones much more. Proof that new isnt always better.
I actually hated the seating position and seats in the 15' STI compared to the older GD bodies.
Can you do infiniti g37/q60 coupe review?
Great vid man! You're coming up on 250k subs! I've been here since about 5 or 10k I think so it's really cool to see the channels fast progression.
They should have at least bumped power up a little bit. Not a ton but It definitely needs it.
Hey david, great review! I am absolutely in love with every song you start your videos with. You should make a playlist
It doesn't have the previous "boxer rumble". The 2015s don't have unequal length headers anymore, which is what made the noise in the first place.
False. The 2015 STI still has unequal length headers. WRX has ELH.
Touch'e
It's not an Impreza anymore, the separated the name.
Now it's just WRX STi. Oh and Subaru will regret doing a cut paste of the engine and transmission from the previous car. The Focus RS may have up to 350 hp and Subaru will need to increase the power.
hawk eye and the blob eye look way better in my opinion. And they're probably lighter too.
At least, Subaru doesn't give up from producing sport cars, unlike Mitsubishi.
Akito Himenokouji But what if....................
the 2015 STI is the new Evo?
No its not go away
Akito Himenokouji Dunnnn Dunnnnnnnnn DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!
hawkeye was the last good looking subaru for me.
AeroFix94 I agree, they've become too big. too many extra window pillars and looks bloated. Looks like it's suppose to rival a malibu now.
yeah indeed!
Hawkeye = Legacy ?? Is it the same ?
Kevin Domínguez Hawkeye = WRX or STI from 06-07
My best friend has the 15 WRX with the CVT and it is actually really good hopefully David can find one to review one day!
I think Subaru will step their game up now that the Focus RS is going into production and make some factory improvements to the car. It probably needs a little bit more horsepower and more noise and it would be awesome.
This comment did not age well
Liked the intro song more than your usual edm club jam stuff. Keep it real david
Just a quick fyi...They no longer fall under the impreza name. Wrx/sti are their own now
I hope that with the 2016 Focus RS coming to the states spouting 320hp numbers, it will cause Subaru to be hard at work right now with a beautiful FA25 engine for the STI with at least 330hp!
Just so you know. The 2015 model year separated from the Impreza line. It is just the WRX now.
All the jumpcuts! Nice review David, looking forward to the next as always. Keep it up :D
I feel the same way david. My favourite part of this car is the suspension. Sooo much bettee
Not an impreza anymore, in 2015 they separated the impreza and made the "wrx" its own car. Love your vids BTW!
Its missing its mate, the Evo. Which is sadly going out of production after this year. :'(
that was nice. Bashing someone's beloved subaru
Great review!
I'm a very sound heavy person and I LOVE the sound of the old imprezas but the new one seems to have ruined it and gone with a more average run of the mill 4 cylinder sound
Great video as always but I can't wait till someone lets you drive a built sti I wanna see how it would feel for you
You know what's going to be a subaru killer is the new FOCUS RS can't wait love your vids thanx
If STI worked on the BRZ engine that was worked on by Toyota no doubt, they would have so much more power out of that engine using the standard STI kit.
I love this 2015 STi so much. It's the only generation that made me question if I'd actually take an Evo over this. But maybe it's also because so many people say this looks like an Evo haha.
good job on the review. have you seen anyone with modded fiats like the 500L maybe?
This is my dream car finally a review
Love the vids, I think it would be sick if you could review an 03-05 neon srt, very curious to see what you think. Keep up the good work man!
Yo awesome review one thing tho I heard the wrx and wrx sti are not considered imprezas anymore to Subaru it's just wrx now
You failed to touch on the chassis and suspension changes for 2015. The 2015 is completely redefined compared to the outgoing model. Hello 7:55 nurburgring time? I feel the review is a bit biased, but most of your driving reviews are.
I think a proper STI review requires some track time, too bad no one can afford that except the big dogs
SoSickWidit Pretty much and anyone who can afford an sti can afford a better car.
hmm, I was referring to being able to afford track time, for proper track oriented-car reviews
Kyle Aschenberg The 7:55 lap time is from the previous generation --- it was a 2011 STi that set it.
Kyle Aschenberg
That's why you only take his reviews with a grain of salt because he is no race car driver/has no experience in racing and winning competitions.
A blue sti with sonic the hedgehog plush doll hanging in the back with " thatdudeinblue" reviewing it, is like a triple blue combo.
I miss the sound though but at least they focused on the suspension and chassis.
the new WRX STI to me is too much of an everyday car that you can have fun with, not like the old WRX STI's that you can really thrash around
If you look at the front of a 22b and a 2015 sti they look similar, just a little bit more up to date.
PLEASE PLEASE DO A GC8! or AKA as a 98-01 2.5rs! maybe even a swapped one!!!
