    This is what Canada is capable of after missing it's best hitter, Maar since the second match. Slater was a beast filling in for another beast, Vernon. Canada is four deep in the middle with Vigrass, Swarc, Van Berkel, and Jansen-Van Dorn. They're also deep in the LS with Maar, Hoag and the captain, Perrin. Let's continue to get better and get ready for the Olympics. Go Canada!

      Do you have any idea why Canada uses Marshall as a libero instead of Pereira? Marshall doesn’t seem that good at reception and Pereira looked pretty good against Brazil. Bann also said that he was super fast.

    • @PQV-8898
      @PQV-8898 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@clanmitts I totally agree. Hoag has used Marshall at libero in the past quite often instead of the Pereira. I'd like Pereira to get some experience as supposed to Marshall who is not a libero. Marshall is nowhere as quick for sure nor better at service reception. He is in no man's land as a player whose natural position is OH but is way too short at 6'3 and way to big for libero.

    I think the problem with Japan's play style is that it requires a lot of moving parts. Everyone likes the underdog. But not always they win.

      @@gamma00crucis Have you looked at any of Canadas' performance within recent years? I'll list a couple:
      Making the Olympic quarterfinals in 2016 (Japan didn't even qualify)
      Getting 3rd place in the 2017 World League(This is Basically Nations League. Japan failed to win what is now known as the Challenger cup)
      Getting 7th in the 2018 Nations League(Japan Placed 12th)
      Getting 9th in the 2019 Nations League(Japan Placed 10th)

    Come on! Canada played a great game ! I'm a fan of Nippon team but they did poorly last night. Canada in contrast did great on attack and defense. Great job canada! Also, japan needs to change their head coach.
